I got stuck on the toggle level :P

However I found that it was a good level to work on learning, due to replaying it several times then finally giving up, your particular control scheme, which is pretty well done once you ignore any preconceptions you might have from other games. Though I got pretty annoyed times with wall jumping sometimes.

My one big gripe, however, is that the toggle blocks would sometimes toggle several times if you're falling onto them.

sad to hear that you couldn't enjoy the entire game, the toggle blocks aren't broken, but when you run the game with higher Fps, somethimes it switches the toggle 2 times instead of once. 😅

Im not good at all at platformers, but i enjoyed this one, the controls feel tight and the art style is charming.

I agree it could benefit from cayote timing and jump buffering. Overall solid entry!

Thank you, your game is really good too!

Man! I really loved this! I admit, I'm partial to rage platformers, I made one myself for the jam! But I found your game super fun (and super-meat-boy-esque), and I especially liked the addition of the blocks you have to hit to change the platforms. Great work!

Thank you really much for the support! I really enjoy rage platformers and Bound is no exception 😁

If I can say anything about this game, it's very minimalistic. The music is good, sound effects are nice, and the graphics are quite fine. The particles give a nice spark around the game every time the player jumps. However, I hate to say this, but it's pretty boring. It's just another side scroller platformer game. Not saying it's a bad thing, but there's no innovative to it. Sure, there's the time limit where the player needs to beat the game in under 15 seconds, wall jumping, and a toggler to switch which platform is active or not. The time limit is only effective if the game isn't too difficult or too long. I'm having struggles in level 4 because of how difficult it was just trying to reach to the final destination. It was too short for just beating it in under 15 seconds. Wall jumping is fine, but it's nothing innovative at all. The toggler isn't something brand new as well since it has existed in Super Mario Bros.

The last thing I would complain is the difficulty controlling the player. The jumping mechanic is the annoying part. I'm being honest here, but it's not very responsive. A coyote jump or jump buffering can make the game feels better and smoother. The ability for the player to jump higher is also annoying since it feels like the player has to force pressing the space button longer to reach a higher height, but the falling is so slow. Maybe make the player to fall faster just to ease them in their journey.

Overall, you did a solid well to submit this game. Really cool and it was quite alright. Could've been better, but good job. Hope to see you improve.
