Nice ;-) that was good fun!
I loved it, amazing job! The sounds/music is great and it's a good concept, also is it based on jsab?
Thanks for playing. It was inspired by JSAB and Project Arrythmia. I'm glad you liked the execution of my idea. :)
The music is awesome, and the visuals remind me of Just Shapes And Beats. Overall a very nice game
Dope music and sound effects! :)
Excellent job, I didn´t understand how to play the game at first but then I started to understand it, I thought I was the player, but then i restarted the game and actually read XD, it´s fun to
KILLthe player, the music is good and i liked the visuals, WOWIEEEE!!! (:Thanks I'm glad you liked it :)
Pretty cool, I did get the same ending three times tho idk if we are supposed to get more, and with good RNG I killed it in 40 seconds lol, very interesting idea!!
No sadly there is only one ending, I'm glad you enjoyed my game though! And good score, now I have to beat that.
hehehe this was fun. i enjoy killing the player >:) i was able to do it in 70 seconds. the player is a tricky bugger!
Liked the game (: Reminds me of just shape and beats!
Game looks nice, Love the music, got hyped when player said I can go faster.
Great game! It has some "Just Shapes And Beats" vibes, and the switched places was cool!
Great job!
Keep up the great work!
I'm glad you like the JSAB vibe. That was what I was aiming for :)
Inconvenient screen size. I love download and play files I can play them forever.
Thanks for playing my game. Yeah I know the screen size is screwed up. I did provide a downloadable exe file for you unless if you don't have Windows. I based most of the canvas off of 1920x1080, and forgot I was publishing to webGL, so sorry about that. Make sure to go to your browser options and set the size to 30% - 50% if you are having problems. Whatever feels comfy.
I enjoyed the game, the idea was really cool and the attack mechanic was well done, I also like the intro. Good job!
Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed the execution of my idea. :)
I like the game, tho the visuals looks a bit....NOT GOOD and I got lost a bit at first but IT WAS FUN! Music was great too! Great Job! :))
My Game: The Square My game if u want to check it out xD
I'm glad you enjoyed the game. I was trying to make some simple visuals. What could I do to improve the visuals? Right now I have animated background effects on my list. And maybe make the boss have a little trail effect. What do you think? Or would you like to suggest something else. And again thanks for playing & for the feedback! :)
I was thinking about make the game MORE JUICY and if u use squares then make them glow or something just make it BRIGHT
That's a good idea along with an animated background. I'll add that into the game then with the next patch.
this game was pretty damn fun! although the visuals were a little lacking in my opinion, but music was great and was super fun to play! good job!
Thanks, I'm really glad you enjoyed the game. As in visuals were lacking, do you think a backdrop effect would be good or do you want the game style to be less simplistic. I'll probably add a animated background effect in the patch to make the game feel more alive. And again thanks for playing! :)
yeah i think personally the background was lacking, but overall it was a very fun game to play!
The game was shorter then I expected.
I understand that the ‘bug’ was the swap of abilities. but in the end, it felt like the game played out basically like any other player vs boss fight.
It wasn’t really clear at first that the heart pickups were for the ‘boss’ and you just had zones were you could attack from. (I felt like I had to hunt for spots I could attack from)… had I not accidentally ran into one of them, I wouldn’t have been able to kill the boss. at first I thought it was ‘if I was close to a heart I could attack’ which was just a side effect of how the first one I hit ended up.
game full screened ok for me.
Ah so you are suggesting having little identifiable spots on the screen to attack the boss. Yeah sorry, I probably should've implemented that in. The only reason I didn't is because I didn't want to lose time doing something else and also I wanted the player to have the feeling "Oh I'm smart" when they figured out where the attacks were. I'm sorry the hearts misguided you. Maybe in the patch I will add a little tutorial, possibly integrated with the bosses dialouge, and identifiable attack spots on screen. In a harder difficulty I probably would remove the ability to see the attack spots and you would have to find them on your own. Other than that, thanks for your review!
Nice. The size, though... The boss is little hard to kill, becouse sometimes the healing things just spawn on top of him. The idea is great, and could be expanded more, I think. Fun game, I would appreciate if you could check out my game too :)
Thanks for playing my game!
Size? Be more elaborate? The player(not you) or boss(you) size? (yes its hard to wrap around) And also should the size be bigger or smaller?
Sorry about the healing hearts, i made the cooldown faster because I didn't want the game to be too easy. I probably need different levels of difficulty.
I'm glad you enjoyed my idea. And when I can I'll check out your game. Thanks for playing!
no problem I meant the screen size :P
Oh lol, yeah I need to fix that for webGL. The issue is I built my entire Unity Canvas on 1920x1080 and forgot I would export to webgl which would work better with 1280x720. Yeah thats a problem xD
I wish there were more things to mess with or levels with different boss types. Besides that this concept is really cool. I really liked the feeling of using what are normally boss attack patterns
Thanks, that may be an idea for the future. But adding different bosses maybe overboard. I will try to add more attacks. Ooh you gave me an idea. I'll add different levels with attack triggers in different areas. That should be easier to do. So the hardest level is where theres only two triggers/places you can go to attack the boss. Thanks for that idea. That will be in the patch.
nice one. changing the perspective of player. i like the idea. and you have done good work on it. you should put some more effort into it and make it more better
Thanks. I'm glad you enjoyed the game. What could I do to make it better.
work on the game graphics, make the actions of you characters more clear. perhaps make the game play a little easy.
check out my game. tell me what you think about it.
aaah, I got your game but when I stream I get other requests. I'll just play your game off stream unless if you want to see my recorded reaction.
sure, whatever suits you. if you do than do send me a link.
I had fun defeating the player. pretty great game but could definitely use some polish and post-processing. Keep up the good work.
If you like you can play my entry here https://bit.ly/glitchIn
Thanks for playing the game. I'll make sure to play yours later once I have access to computer.
As of polishing what do you think could be done to polish the game? Some things I've considered are modifying the player hp and speed as well as the number of hearts spawning per second. Also what post processing fx could I use?
Again you dont have to respond if you dont want to. Theres a lot of jam submissions. Again thanks for the feedback & I'll make sure to play your game!
I loved the creativity! This was really unique and fun, but I recommend polishing up a bit, but besides that great job!
Im glad you enjoyed my creative concept. To polish my game I'll probably adjust player speed and health and maybe the cooldown of hearts. Any more polishing you think I should do? And thanks for playing! :)
