The font and UI are very clean. Amazing work on the models and SFX. The game mechanic is really fun and interesting with a cool story to go with it. Very well polished game!
Thanks a lot for your feedback, though i can't take too much credit for the models themselves as they are mostly synty assets. But glad you enjoyed how I put it all together. :)
That's an absolute 5/5 WOWIE from me, holy crap I love this, I really hope you expand on this post jam!!
Thank you so much, that's really kind. Right now it's definitely my intention to continue this crazy cat adventure. Already have a couple ideas to include in a full release. Stay tuned ;)
hehe kitty go boom
I love cats, It was great, burning the house, I Also managed to set table and bed on fire :D Seems like you already know Black street cats are just more active than others :D
Loved all the details, nice cat animation, overall visuals are outstanding
Controls feel pretty smooth, and sounds are pretty consistent except I was not a huge fun of the music but that was not a big deal
Great game!
I've always wondered why my cats knock things off tables and shelves. This was an adorable little insight into their minds!
I liked the small little details that were put into the game, like the cat running faster when they're on fire and hissing when you swipe at the guard.
While I liked the humorous presentation of the objectives, my biggest complaint is actually how hand-holdy the objective system is. I think I would have had more fun exploring what kinds of things I can destroy on my own rather than being told what to do. Bigger things, like destroying the window and shooting the cannon, could have in-game clues to suggest that those things are possible.
I felt kind of worried destroying things before I was supposed to, because when the game started, I immediately knocked a glass bottle off. Later it became an objective, but wasn't marked completed. I thought I had already broken the game by doing things out of their "set order" before noticing there were more bottles.
The sound effects were good, and I especially enjoyed the music! The composer effectively created an exploratory/mischievous backdrop to knock things over to.
I noticed one bug, and that's that in the house you can jump through the furniture on the right side of the room.
This was a very cute game! I enjoyed it :)
Thank you so much for playing and giving such detailed feedback. I actually agree with you on the point of not making the objectives too obvious, but for the gamejam I decided that it's gonna be better to make it easy for people to understand what they should do. And I've seen footage and got question that show that even then not everybody got it. For a full release it will definitely have a lot more things that can be explored.
And would also have more music by Tunglith :)
Excellent game! Once I saw the title I knew I had to give it a go. Quite fun!
A great Game, where you play as a cat destroying your envoirement.
The Gameplay is very fun and creative. The Controls are good to use (except the swing, it is a little slow) and the Objectives are clear to you (you know what to do). One thing about the game is also really good and that is the things that you do are slowly getting more extreme. One moment you play with your wool ball, the next you break glass and the next thing you know is your house is on fire.
Gutes Spiel :)
Really fun idea! I think there's a lot of potential for a game about a cat just causing general chaos, and the game looks good especially for a 72 hour jam! The controls felt pretty good, but the swipe felt pretty delayed -- having to wait for the animation to finish every time got a little annoying, especially when one swipe often wouldn't be enough to knock an object off a table. Nearly got stuck on the cannon part before remembering the fire interaction (I spent a while just pressing E around it or looking around for a cannon ball) -- I feel like adding a wick to the top would've helped give a hint as to what to do.
Great concept, good art, nice tie-in with the theme and an overall great entry!
thanks for the detailed feedback. I agree, I'm also not happy with the current delay for the paw, but for the jam i had to accept it like this for now as I'm not that good with animations and character controllers yet, so had to use what i had. So, something I'm gonna work on for the full release. :)
