At wave 21 I ended up with this.
Towers are actually really overpowered when they all are together, I clicked my mouse where all of the towers can shoot and no tower can pass through.

Turns out that playing a tower defense from the perspective of the towers is way more fun than you would expect it to be, The little intersections of death the ai would eventually create for me felt like Christmas.
Interesting take on tower defence, with the AI choosing the space and the player shooting - the opposite of most! Well done :D
Actually didn't notice I played this for so long : )
Yeah, this is a fun game, well done!
The only critic is that maybe make it so you can hold the mouse button instead of clicking.
And make the upgrade buttons in a separate place where you don't click on them by mistake.
Other than that, awesome stuff!
Such amazing visuals and atmosphere, I love that you went for a chess board. I wish you could lock towers in place like in Bloons. Overall it was fun though!
Impressive! Need some QoL improvements, but for a jam game it's good. It was always quite exciting to see where my "AI" companion would place the next piece.
Nice concept, although I seem to not be able to upgrade any of the units, and removing them costs me money? Also an indication of the enemies health been a nice addition!
I'm a bit of a sucker for board-game aesthetics, so that's what drew me in. However the sound effects were rough, and the music was like alarm clock anxiety. Gameplay loop is good.
