Pääsit sentään pitemmälle kuin moni muu!

Ihana simulaatiopeli! Paras annokseni oli hodari kahdellakymmenellä nakilla.

Oikein toimiva pohja! Hieno AI.

I have currently less than 10 ratings on my game lol

This is a really great jam game! One of the best looking and feeling games in the jam. I would suggest adding a bit more contrast to the interactable elements and non-interactable background elements. It could improve readibility and add some more depth to the environment.

I rated your game. Now here's mine https://itch.io/jam/wowie-jam-4/rate/1663959

Audio is good, visuals are fine, game feel is getting there. I see you made the player sprite stretch when it shoots, a nice detail. However, if you had added something like that in the movement it could have felt more responsive. Because right now it shoots autofire (which I think is not bad decision) so having a visual effect on the shooting action, (or non-action) doesn't contribute to a sense of control as much as feedback on movement actions would. Congratulations on getting the game done on time.

Congrats on getting the project already this far. Nice aesthetics.

I think I'm just too dumb for this game, I couldn't get past level 2. The game feel is on spot, though. Visuals are good, too.

It kept me on my toes! The toaster had great personality. I liked the ambient details in the background.

Same story here! Here's my game https://itch.io/jam/wowie-jam-4/rate/1663959

Impressive! Need some QoL improvements, but for a jam game it's good. It was always quite exciting to see where my "AI" companion would place the next piece.

Congrats! Impressive work of concept.

I had a lot of fun! I cleared about 75 % before I died. I think I would have enjoyed it even more if the game was broken down to multiple smaller segments rather than one big map. It was quite intensive! Great job!

Easy to understand, plays without problems. I like that you can push enemies :D I think that's a nice detail. The chromatic aberration effect is a nice touch, too. The movement feels a bit sticky.

Did you think about having it draw a larger sprite but keep its original bounding box? That way it would appear larger but not get stuck between the walls

This game is gold. Simple but inventive! The colours are a joy to look at. It's good that you introduced so many easy levels in the beginning to get me hooked haha. It really gets difficult though, but I bet this is a game one would get better over time. This could make an excellent mobile game!

I misremembered about the game freezing upon attempting a restart by pressing R. It didn't freeze, I got it mixed up in my head because I restarted the game anyway.

Nice! The witty writings saved the mood. The controls were a bit floaty and stiff to my liking, but the thrill of treasure hunt was there!

Thanks! I had planned on adding some accessibility features that could reduce motion sickness but I ran out of time. Maybe I'll prioritize accessibility more the next time.

The game works without issues and is actually kind of fun! If you want to improve the game feel, I would suggest making the enemies respond with some kind of effect when you eat them. Also, I think it would be a good idea to better communicate the player which monsters are edible. For instance, the player sprite could get bigger once all the "small" enemies are eaten. It would also have the added benefit of making progress feel more exciting.

Really fun! Reminds me of the time I was a kid and played all kinds of Flash browser games :D I had a lot of lag on the normal and hard levels, but not on the easy. The synthetic voice over felt a little obnoxious to me, but the other sound effects were nice and rewarding. Great visual effects aslo!

There were a couple bugs where the game would freeze: I tried to restart the second level by pressing R and the game froze, another time I ran into the guy with a hammer and it froze again. But the pixel art is good, the chiptune music is not bad, the controls are tight. The size-altering mechanic is well implemented. Cats are the best.

Nice pixel art! A bit more content would be nice :D. You could improve the game feel a lot if the enemies responded to being hit by your attack (flashing red and making a sound, for example). I also found a bug that if you skip the "key" you can walk through the door into the void :D haha

Just about everything in this game is well done! It took some time to get used to the size of the dash and how it works, but it was fun once I did.

Otherwise quite fun, but it feels quite slow... the scroll speed, screen transitions, horizontal movement are all quite slow. Music is great, and I love the variety of fish in the game.

Unfortunately I experienced a lot of lag. I liked the momentum with the small square.

Very nice concept, I love how the two characters have so different feel to them, the other having more weight etc.  It was a little bit frustrating having to wait so long for some of the platforms, though.

Press and hold C

I love the mood you were able to set in this trilogy! The environments feel quite varied and interesting for the most part. One thing I want to point out is that the enemies didn't react at all if I hit them, so I wasn't always sure if I was hitting them or not. This was especially annoying for the fact that the enemies took so many hits before they died, so some kind of audio cue would have helped me understand that I'm actually dealing damage. Also, please don't map action to Enter, people don't have more than two hands :D But hey good job with the game, it was thrilling!

Thank you! Unfortunately I didn't have time to implement a more comprehensive tutorial to the game. But I updated the game's description, hopefully it helps new players.

The slow movement speed and the cooldown mechanic make it feel a bit claustrophobic as you don't have much control over the character(s), but it also creates a sense of dread. The visuals are clean and I like the variation between the levels. The levels are easy to read, and UI looks good (I just wish I didn't need to use mouse to click the menu buttons while you only use the keyboard to control the game). Perhaps a darker visual theme would have fit better with the feel of the gameplay.

agar.io but with golf style movement and it's a metroidvania

Big weapon, small character

A puzzle game where your character can get bigger or smaller

Hi! I'm not from the US and I'm not 100% clear with the education and college culture there. Is this jam open for me, as an undergraduate student in a university (I major in Musicology)? It's equivalent to being a college student, right? Just wanted to make sure, thanks
