Cool concept, a bit hard to follow, wish i could place orders while the costumers decide what they want, to little time for preparation from one day to another

What I liked:
- The art of the cutscenes/menu
- The 3d art
- the gameplay loop of having to buy the correct stuff based on what the "AI" tells you but also having to always have generic stuff in stock too
- the walk cycle of the customers xD
- That there's a "story mode"
What I didn't like:
- the camera -> fix: make it mouse based
- small window -> fix: fullscreen
- not enough time to buy stuff -> fix: 20 sec more
- bad online store layout (it isn't clear that there are more than two pages)
This game has such a great vibe! I don't know if I love the noisiness of the intro (it only needs toning down a LITTLE) but once the game gets going its got fantastic character. The customers all look great. The controls do take some getting used to, but once I got in the zone it wasn't too troubling. The checkout mini game is perfect for breaking things up. The doorways can be a little frustrating, I think I was getting stuck by the half-open doors? I also had a glitch where customers seemed to start disappearing in the middle of the store... They started doing it one day where I had nothing stocked so I figured it was just due to that, but then it randomly happened in the same spot (in front of the fridge) the next day too (when I had stock). It only seemed to happen while I was waiting behind the counter? Thanks for making this anyway, it was a lot of fun ^_^
I really like this idea! It is a cool game! I have some feedback: The camera is a little annoying at first. Since we must try to be as fast as we can, maybe rotating the camera with the mouse would be better. Also, about being fast, the timer runs down way to fast... Specially after the shift, when you have to buy stuff for the next day. We have to see the trend, check the money and buy stuff in a very short time, no time to think. Then on the next day the clients complain we don't have anything :') Sound effects would also be helpful in understanding what is going on. But it's a cool concept! I had fun with it! Good job ^^
Hi man! I thing that I learned from previous jams is that people generally don't try to hard to understand a game. They prefer a quick and easy gameplay and move to the next.
But I think I played as it was supposed to and really liked the game!
I found it quite hard to understand everything that was going on at the beginning, but overall great game! Congratulations on your submission!
Tried the game! As expected, it was weird and fun. I took me a bit to play as intended. I liked the money management, minigames and the random stuff the clients continue to say (even if I don’t feel like they are IAs) and the tank controls are weird but functional. Liked the fact you can actually replay the game in infinite mode! I didn’t hear so much music inside the game. It’s a solid entry overall, liked it really much.
I like the style of this game so much. Unfortunately clients often stutter when going to the checkout, ruining the pacing of the game
Nice game! Original and very fun, and the graphics style of drawn images for your game is very nice too! Good job!
Really like the concept, it is super original and fun! The hand-drawn visuals are incredibly characteristic and make your game stand out quite a big time from the rest I’ve seen; congrats also for the music: though a bit low by default it fits the game so well, giving away those vibes of little corner store.
I will say the controls take a little to get used to and having to use the computer with the mouse can feel an inconvience when everything else is done with the keyboard. But apart from that the gameplay is overall really fun, especially the scanning barcode minigame: on that regard it would be so cool if it got more difficult over time or the patterns changed depending on the product to scan, but I totally understand it is a lot to ask off a jam project. It is fun as it is though, so imagine the possibilities! ^-^
The last thing I’ll add is that needing to wait for the customers to take the products from the shelves can get a little boring at times, so maybe it could be a good idea to have multiple customers coming in at the same time or thieves that sometimes get in and you need to catch by watching their movements. Also, having a tight timer to buy products at midnight while also having to check the previsions for the next day is a bit anxiety-inducing, often meaning I didn’t have time to really evaluate what I already had in store and what to buy based on my money availability; it also doesn’t help that some products are not immediately recognizable, although labels like “This is SODA” are really hilarious to look at and add a lot to the fun! :)
Again, I feel this game has a lot of potential to really be amazing and it is really fun as it is, so keep up the good work! ^-^
Interesting art style, the first-person tank control movement feels a bit weird. I like the game loop of managing the store and checking what item is going to be popular for the next day is a cool idea. I just wish it was clearer on whether or not I was doing it correctly, because whenever I bought something on the computer I wasn't sure if that thing was going to be in the pile of boxes or if I had to do something else to get it. Otherwise I like this entry.
Nice game and great take on the theme.
But I have a few suggestion. We should be able to look around with mouse. Also checkout minigame was way too fast. I was having a hard time to get it to green zone. With a little press it moved way too fast.
In my opinion at the start of game or day, 30 seconds is too little to arrange all stock in shop. I wished it would have been 5 min at least as it was difficult to move around with the help of mouse.
Apart from that nice game :)
