Fun game lot of enemies. Good job !
Thanks!
Awesome game! I really liked the art and concept. The game becomes a little too easy the more you play since only a few enemies would appear and the farther you went the bigger the gaps between them appearing would be.
Glad you liked it :) the enemies were supposed to be constant and come in larger amounts the further you went, but I must have messed something up.
i love this! the art is beautyfull!
(I would love for you to rate my game as well)
Glad you like my art! I’ll give your game a shot as soon as I’ve got time!
Lol :D weird idea but it's quite enjoyable to be honest :D especially hitting cheese with a broom :)
thank you! I do love me a weird game concept :) glad you enjoyed it
I really liked the Game, the only issue i had were that a robot with a Broom glitched out he didnt stop hitting the air and from then on no Corruption spawned anymore, i still had fun
hmm, weird.. it sucks that the corruptions stop spawning, not sure why that is happening yet.. Gonna have to check it out!
Very fun simple game, amazing for the little time you had!
The gameplay was super addicting, I don’t know if there was an end but if I didn’t need to go to sleep I would have certainly found out by playing as long as I could. Also, the visuals are so cute and the music is so spot on for the vibe of it all that they give your entire game a sense of polish I didn’t expect from a jam project.
Also also, having to collaborate with the robot miners’ ai is a cool spin on the theme, especially when they get stuck in each other an you need to separate them (I don’t know if this was intentional, but it really made me feel like I was working with stupid robots ^-^). Being able to push the robots with the broom also allowed for some interesting strategies, like placing the broom robots in order to cover as much of the screen as possible.
In spirit of fairness I will report a few little bugs I encountered, just so you can improve this otherwise amazing game:
But again, this are minor bugs: overall you did a really great job, congrats! <3
wow, thank you for this comprehensive review! I’m glad you enjoyed it.
To address a few of your comments:
I’m not sure what I was thinking with pause screen lol. Not gonna lie I forgot that you are supposed to PAUSE THE GAME when the game pauses haha! It was more a last minute exit menu.. will have to fix that!
When I found the robots got stuck on each other during development, that was such a good ‘it’s not a bug, it’s a feature’ moment! It is somewhat intentional as I knew about it but it was one of those things you don’t think of until it happens :p
I have no idea why no cheese or corruptions spawn after pausing. One of my friends had that issue when I showed them - another thing I’ve gotta fix!
I didn’t know about the cheese going off screen - it makes sense grabberbots get stuck tryna go for them! There is a collision box to contain the player, but I guess I forgot to make the cheese collide with it.
there is no end to the game.. not yet at least! :)
Thanks for your review!
Incredibly polished for a game jam game, the art style is charming, though I encountered a bug where the cheese pickin' robot just got stuck in the corner and didn't want to do his job no matter how hard I pushed him with my broom.
hmm, weird.. maybe he didn't have any cheese to collect? they won't do anything without any tasks.. or it's just my buggy robot code haha.
No there was a ton of cheese everywhere, regardless its still a great game :)
I see, definitely buggy robot code then :) glad you enjoyed it.
Amazing game !
Thanks! :)
YOU CAN NOT MATCH THE POWER OF SPACE THE BROOOM!
Honestly this is one of the best games ive seen!
Thanks man I went full potatoes on this jam haha nearly imploded
BROOOOOMMMM POWAAAHHHH
How hasn't this got more attention yet!??!? I love the sounds, the idea, the art- it's all 5 stars from me! I love this game so much lmao- the idea of being a janitor helping mining robots get cheese from outer space???! What??!??
Honestly really really well done, this is awesome.
Thank you, dude! really happy you enjoyed it so much..! I thought of the robots to mine cheese on the moon about halfway through the jam - definitely gives the game 100x more personality! also, appreciate the high reviews ;)
I'll check out your game next!
Really cool and creative concept! I really like the sound effects! The artstyle was also great and reminded me of the artstyle of the hit game "Huso's Arcade Machine", overall really cool, good job!
I'm glad you liked it! Sound effects are usually my weak side so it looks like I didn't do too bad ;) It does look similar to the hit game Huso's Arcade machine :p
LOVED IT. It was heaps of fun and addicting. Maybe it could of gotten a little harder over the course of the game but other than that it was amazing!
Glad you liked it! yeah, the difficulty curve goes up too gently - something I'll tune in the future :)
I liked growing a small army of the cheese miners. Maybe you could add more features as you amass more workers and maybe make the price increase per worker a little less.
Yeah - the price of workers grows too quickly. I believe it was cost = previous cost ^ 1.5. It gets a bit ridiculous after a while lol. YOu can actually sweep the resources into the delivery bot to speed up the process - I never mentioned this in the tutorial ;)
I think I am going to continue this game, and add more features. I'll post any updates to the game on my website zevdev.net!
Nice art ( ͡ಠ ͜ʖ ͡ಠ)
yes, that was a focus! :D
