Great visuals and animations, it fits well the theme but i think that the spawn rate of the crystals is a bit low.

Good job!

This is really fun! Feedback: Music and SFX would really liven up the gameplay!

Would love if you could rate my game! https://outercloudstudio.itch.io/refract

Even the mining animations were so pleasing to look at. Amazing fit for the theme, cool gameplay, awesome stuff!

This game had so much charm. The animations and the small bits of dialogue really added alot. I didn't expect to get hooked but i didn't want to stop!

Thanks for the feedback! Unrelated, but I really like your profile picture :)

Nice game. The concept is really cool and the gameplay was very entertaning but after a while I stopped finding crystals. the graphics are simple yet

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! The crystal spawning is definitely flawed. Every five seconds, one spawns a little bit out of view of the player in a random direction. This is a problem because it means that they might always spawn in the opposite direction that you move. Even thinking about it now, I haven't come up with a satisfying solution. Maybe I could spawn them on screen... but a space game that doesn't encourage exploration feels weird... maybe there could be a mini-map...

I had a lot of fun! I cleared about 75 % before I died. I think I would have enjoyed it even more if the game was broken down to multiple smaller segments rather than one big map. It was quite intensive! Great job!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! I agree: the game is far too long. With how the spawning works, I'm pretty sure the fastest theoretical time is 1000s since an enemy spawns every second and you need to defeat 1000 to win. Honestly, I didn't put much thought into the win condition. In retrospect, there are not enough upgrades to justify 1000s of mandatory gameplay. I'd consider your 75% a win :)

Loved the dialog and the animations. Upgrading was really cool, but I had trouble finding green crystals.

overall great game!!

Really interesting and creative gameplay, loved the idea of AI controlling the other hand. The world seemed a bit empty (except for the hundreds of zombies)

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! The moon was definitely too empty, and there's no excuse for that. I mean, the player has probably never been to the moon, so I could've put anything I wanted up there and no one could claim that it's inaccurate haha. I was a bit uninspired, but perhaps I could've used an AI to generate ideas for me - that would've been great for the theme :)

Very cool- and very smooth gameplay. I love how you don't have to worry about your other arm- however at the same time you have some influence over it by changing direction and such- very interesting. That being said- the world seems very empty, and the progress with the infestation is tedious- if you'd have sped those up it would've been a 5 star game! Great job!

It's creative, but it's a little weird

Developer

Thanks for the compliment!

Really great game, you should add an image to the game. I almost didn't play it because it didn't have one.

Also you should keep working on it. I think you are onto something.

Thanks for the feedback! As to the lack of images and screenshots, I took a short 12-hour nap after the jam ended. I'm glad that you still gave it a chance :)
