I had trouble with an adventurer named Feston, but my other adventurers seemed pretty capable. Really cool game theme and cool graphics! Reminds me a bit of Paper's Please in a good way!
Thanks! Good call, Papers Please was definitely one of the inspirations for our game. As for Feston, the heroes are procedurally generated, and sometimes turn out pretty incompetent! Your job as quest giver isn't always easy :P

I like the idea of turning around the game from quest taker to quest giver. Definitely gave me a gameboy vibe, good job on the modifier! The controls however were difficult for me to process (z & x), when trying to leave the details of a quest or hero, I would often hit the escape key instead. (which very reasonably closes the game)
RIP sorry about the escape key, I can definitely see how that'd happen! Westuck with gameboy controls, but I think it might be easier to work with using a mouse.

Wow this game was a pretty fun management sim. Everyone else may have hated me but my Wizard killed the dragon so the King seemed pretty cool with it! Great job with the art too. Could definitely see this getting expanded into something bigger.

It was a little tricky to operate to start with but with some more in-game explanation and more keyboard-and-mouse-friendly controls, it could become something really fun. I'm a sucker for these sorts of games and I loved the art style, so I'd be interested to see where you take it if you add to it after the jam. Nice job!
Thanks! I definitely think mouse controls would be perfectly adequate, if not superior, but we were trying to stick with plausibly gameboy-esque controls for the 2 GIRLS 1 CPU challenge.

Good inversion on the concept of rpg games, it makes you feel like a guild master giving out quests to your guild members for the best chance of success. Great work!
