Thanks for the feedback :) The underlying lore does not have to do with how deep you go to reveal itself. it can be revealed in various other ways

I made it to the end!!!

The game was very fun, it seems we had similar ideas :)
The graphics was awesome and the gameplay loop was great! Nice job.

Hitboxes were too big compared to the sprites and it was a bit akward not being able to move both characters at the same time but other than that, I liked it :)

Cute game I liked the sprites and the level design. Good job :)

I think some music in the background would have been nice, and maybe the movement could use some polishing. If you're using Unity and the movement wasn't like this when you playtested, it may be that you're handling movement in the "Update" method instead of "FixedUpdate" which is preferred.

Very cool game idea you have here! And I think the design choice you made really fit the game, well done! One thing I was missing however was a quick way to choose between the two options (removing and placing), as mentioned before I think just having left & right mouse button do those two actions would have been better. Other than that, I really liked the game :)

Cute game, but it was very unclear if I could eat the ants of if I was meant to avoid them, some indication of when you took damage and when you ate stuff would have been nice.

Very nice concept but a lot of stuff was a bit unclear during gameplay, what were the barrels for? How far away do I need to be from the whirlpools to not take damage? What is the benefit of engaging in a cannon battle? Does the enemy ship have 10 or 500 health left? Most of this could be easily explained through sound or visually and I think the game would have benefited from that. Other than that, this was great, upgrades both for your ship and for individual islands was really cool :)

Cute game, a simple but fun concept. It was hard at the start but after getting the hang of it, it was just a matter of how long you wanted to go for that decided your high score, I was able to rack up 1.500 points by just luring the shark from one corner to the other. Maybe adding another shark after reaching a certain score or adding things like mines along with the coin generation could have added another fun layer of difficulty :)

Great implementation of the theme and overall a fun game. Great job! The game itself ended a bit abruptly and I would have liked to be able to hold down W to swim up, but that's just a minor change :)

The O2 rocks give 20% of your max oxygen, so upgrading your oxygen capacity is important :)

Regarding the tilemap collision, Unity at least has a component called "Composite collider" which may help, it essentially merges all tiles colliders into one big one. Rounding out the player hitbox ever so slightly is also a quick fix that usually does the trick :)

Really nice graphics and the gameplay felt great, I especially liked the UI elements. A volume slider for the audio would have been nice to add, and I think the tutorial panel blended it a bit too much with the background (I missed the bomb dropping feature entirely because I didn't see it).

Level design was very good and the sprites were really cute. The one thing that bothered me however were that the hitboxes were so poorly accurate that it became frustrating very fast.

Cool design and I really liked the sprites & audio. I gave up after dying several times at the chase scene however since you had to sit through the whole cutscene every time you died. Also most times I died it just felt unfair as I would almost always just randomly collide with seemingly nothing on the ground. The idea and level design was great. I just feel the game needed some polishing in the gameplay itself.
