Yo thank you so much for enjoying! I can’t tell you enough how happy it made me to have my first game be speedran by someone!

Hi! Thanks for your feedback but sadly the lack of SFX was more of a technical problem: sound effects in HTML/JS programs take at least a second to load everytime they’re played so there’s no chance of latent SFX. I have yet to find a JS library that can overcome this problem but when I do I’ll definitely look into your resources to get sounds!
Hi! Would love it if you could play my game :) https://itch.io/jam/acerola-jam-0/rate/2581967
Yes, as one commenter below has said, you have to keep going left after every level to deliver the package. If you hovered your mouse over the package drone it does say this but I guess it is not clear enough.
Sorry if this inconveniences you but I strongly recommend replaying the game again with this info as you’ve basically missed like 90% of content.
Hi guys, I’ve made a collection of games made with either vanilla JS or any JS framework so that we can look at each other’s source code and learn or take inspiration from them.

So far I’ve only got a few of games so if you spot one or if your game is made with JS, feel free to link it in the comments. And of course, make sure to give all of these a play because all of these are really good.
Games in the collection so far: https://itch.io/jam/acerola-jam-0/rate/2581967 https://itch.io/jam/acerola-jam-0/rate/2581276 https://itch.io/jam/acerola-jam-0/rate/2582591
Other than a bit of a lack of the aberration theme, I would say this is actually an amazing game. Smooth gameplay that is easy to learn and hard to master, nice visual and sound effects, good music and colours. You could have added a simple background effect to show the gravity switch (like in geometry dash) but the arrow is sufficient with the limited time that you had. I would also argue that having W/S for sideways gravity is more intuitive than keeping everything as A/D, so I’m glad you went with that.
Solid game. Well done, good sir.
(Also my high score is 140 that’s gotta be pretty good right??)
Hi!! Not sure if you remember but you’ve already played mine so here’s a really good one from someone else that I think more people should check out!

Btw thanks again for being the first to comment on my game :)
Sounds good, here’s mine: https://itch.io/jam/acerola-jam-0/rate/2581967
You mind checking mine out? I would say its a bullet hell but someone commented that it has tower defence vibes and I can’t unsee it now. https://itch.io/jam/acerola-jam-0/rate/2581967

Not to brag but i got a score of 150000 after breaking the game lol. It’s a great idea and it’s something that can definitely be put on the app store, but maybe put a cap on the acceleration physics because I think that’s how I built up enough speed to break the sound barrier and ignore all hitboxes.
Nice game idea, but I feel like it could be more balanced. Being able to use 5 cards plus 2 from the hold pile in a single turn seems a bit too much, I would have preferred it if each turn was more limiting so that each decision counts.
Other than that, nice art style and the card abilities themselves are fun to try out.
Nice game man! As someone who also coded in html, I can testify for how frustrating that can be, but with it, you have made an impressive physics system and even a level editor, so props to you. I'll definitely be keeping your code for analysis later! (mostly because of how clean it is compared to my spaghetti code)
