Yo thank you so much for enjoying! I can’t tell you enough how happy it made me to have my first game be speedran by someone!

Hi man! Would be nice for you to speedrun my game! As of right now I doubt anyone has actually finished it (I’ve been told its a bit tough), but seeing your gamer skills it should be no sweat for you :)

Yeah I did and rated it I just didn’t have anything to say that others haven’t said already sorry

Hi! Thanks for your feedback but sadly the lack of SFX was more of a technical problem: sound effects in HTML/JS programs take at least a second to load everytime they’re played so there’s no chance of latent SFX. I have yet to find a JS library that can overcome this problem but when I do I’ll definitely look into your resources to get sounds!

Thanks for enjoying!

Hi! Would love it if you could play my game :) https://itch.io/jam/acerola-jam-0/rate/2581967

Here you go :) https://itch.io/jam/acerola-jam-0/rate/2581967

Yes, as one commenter below has said, you have to keep going left after every level to deliver the package. If you hovered your mouse over the package drone it does say this but I guess it is not clear enough.

Sorry if this inconveniences you but I strongly recommend replaying the game again with this info as you’ve basically missed like 90% of content.

Hi, thanks for playing. Can you elaborate on what you meant by you couldnt do anything? Did you mean that you couldnt progress to the next level?

Gameplay is pretty smooth for both modes and the level design is good. If I could give feedback I would make the art more consistent especially in terms of pixel sizes and colours, but well done for making an engaging game with good pacing that people can actually finish.

Love the visual and sound effects man

Hi guys, I’ve made a collection of games made with either vanilla JS or any JS framework so that we can look at each other’s source code and learn or take inspiration from them.

So far I’ve only got a few of games so if you spot one or if your game is made with JS, feel free to link it in the comments. And of course, make sure to give all of these a play because all of these are really good.

Games in the collection so far: https://itch.io/jam/acerola-jam-0/rate/2581967 https://itch.io/jam/acerola-jam-0/rate/2581276 https://itch.io/jam/acerola-jam-0/rate/2582591

Hope your life improves for the better bro. Whether mine will meet your goal of lifting you up is questionable though, hope you enjoy it.

Other than a bit of a lack of the aberration theme, I would say this is actually an amazing game. Smooth gameplay that is easy to learn and hard to master, nice visual and sound effects, good music and colours. You could have added a simple background effect to show the gravity switch (like in geometry dash) but the arrow is sufficient with the limited time that you had. I would also argue that having W/S for sideways gravity is more intuitive than keeping everything as A/D, so I’m glad you went with that.

Solid game. Well done, good sir.

(Also my high score is 140 that’s gotta be pretty good right??)

Hi!! Not sure if you remember but you’ve already played mine so here’s a really good one from someone else that I think more people should check out!

Btw thanks again for being the first to comment on my game :)

It was after meeting the judge and then it went back to the basically the beginning. Also are you even able to release patches? I thought you cant update you game after the deadline.

Nice work bro, just wish that there was an option to zoom in so I could see things better.

Sounds good, here’s mine: https://itch.io/jam/acerola-jam-0/rate/2581967

Nice parkour game but I’m getting really bad performance issues on my slightly old gaming laptop. It think you should limit the shadow rendering because it also makes some of the places look dark and it could improve performance.

Love the camera angles in the cutscences, but I got a bug where the cutscences loop and I couldn’t progress.

You mind checking mine out? I would say its a bullet hell but someone commented that it has tower defence vibes and I can’t unsee it now. https://itch.io/jam/acerola-jam-0/rate/2581967

Nice platformer game with great 3D models and a really cool time rewind effect, but with the amount of data involved with that, theres no chance this game can run on the web, you should have just submitted the windows version instead.

Finally, I thought I was the only one who made a bullet hell game! For a game made with javascript, it is very robust and smooth-playing, so well done on the programming part. Also you should add the dash from JSAB just coz its cool.

Not to brag but i got a score of 150000 after breaking the game lol. It’s a great idea and it’s something that can definitely be put on the app store, but maybe put a cap on the acceleration physics because I think that’s how I built up enough speed to break the sound barrier and ignore all hitboxes.

Nice game idea, but I feel like it could be more balanced. Being able to use 5 cards plus 2 from the hold pile in a single turn seems a bit too much, I would have preferred it if each turn was more limiting so that each decision counts.

Other than that, nice art style and the card abilities themselves are fun to try out.

This is such a high quality game! From the music to the animations to the level design, it’s insane that you got this all down in 2 weeks!

Reminds me of the “don’t escape” flash games from back in the day. Thanks for reawakening a lost memory!

Genuinely fun puzzle game with great levels!

This is actually so fun I could play this forever! I’m actually downloading the android apk so I can keep it on my phone! It’s so chaotic and I love it :)

Hi man, thanks for enjoying my game! I have now made a walkthrough for the game (which you can see here) if you want to try again with a bit of help.

Nice game man! As someone who also coded in html, I can testify for how frustrating that can be, but with it, you have made an impressive physics system and even a level editor, so props to you. I'll definitely be keeping your code for analysis later! (mostly because of how clean it is compared to my spaghetti code)

Epic game because it has controller support
