What do you like about your game?
I really like the pixel art I created but for me personally this was my first ever game so I’m just happy to participate and learn along the way!

Everyones said everything that needs to be said about this game (notably about powerup menus)

will just throw a compliment in to say how much I liked the polish on the assets and UI

congrats on the release

wow, for your first ever game, this looks really good! love the intro sequence and everything, your sense of presentation and delivery is really good! the pixel art and text gives it a nice sense of style while mimicking the look of these old computer start-up screens from back then! the audio sells it too, with each sound effect being nice to listen to! the lo-fi song was also a nice little addition to put in the background while im just clicking away xd.

i'll echo the same sentiments from the comments and say that i wish there was more upgrades to buy, even if it was just infinitely incrementing xd. though this is something that could easily be added if you wanted to, so its not a big deal!

again, really impressive that this was the first game you made, looks really nice! i can't really say the same for my first game xd. hope you had fun with the development process! great work!

I liked the clicker nature of slow computers trying to load! I had them! I hoped we could stack up the 30-second auto click rate, Because now if I buy 2 or multiple consecutive auto clicks it only runs once, so I'm losing my loading rate. Either way! pretty interesting entry! I would simply add more upgrades and QuickTime events. Good job!

I sat there forever thinking the progress bar would load somehow haha. Hmm...good game

Damn. Did I just actually pressed F5?
Really cool idea for a clicker) Nicely done!

Nice little clicker game with a very good presentation. As everyone said, we need more updates! It does not seem possible to combine the clicks on the button with the auto-clicker and the auto-clicker doesn't click as fast as me, so it just feels useless. Also, I pressed F5 on my computer, thinking, "Woah, it's original, I will refresh the page and each time I do it I will have more progress on the progress bar!" and I did that a few times before realizing it wasn't the thing I was supposed to do 😅

Submitted

i actually pressed f5 at first (which reloads the page) so i had to rewatch the intro sequence lol. i haven't loaded up the computer, more upgrades as everyone is saying would definitely be cool. i can't say much about the gameplay but it's what you'd expect from a clicker game so it necessitates simplicity. presentation is on point though! also it's your first ever game so congrats on finishing! i hope you continue to make games in the future because you definitely have a sense of originality

I got like 15000 until i actually pressed f5, RIP.  Wish there were more upgrades though, good job!

interesting game. A little empty, could use more upgrades and not having the upgrades menu hidden behind the settings menu. I couldn't really make the bar progress so i don't know how much is required but i would have liked that the progress was based on the time spent waiting and the points just speed up the wait

Thanks! I do agree the game needs some polishing and improvements. I'll be sure to check your game in the coming days as soon as my new pc arrives!

Simple clicker game and a great first release from you! I love the immersive sounds and the whole 2000s vibe (I actually used that same booting up sound sample in a recent project outside of the jam lol recognized it instantly)

Developer(+1)

No way haha, small world! Glad you picked up on the vibe i wanted to portray. I will defo play your game in the coming days :)

I usually don't like clicker games, but this one has a very nice vibe, the only problem, as you probably already know, is that there's not much to do, but overall good job

Thank you for taking the time to review my game :) I'll play your game in the coming days as soon as my new pc arrives!

there’s not much to it, but what’s there gives off a great vibe. it definitely needs more stuff, I guess you have some ideas for that already. I will just suggest some other improvements:

  • the upgrades menu shouldn’t be two clicks deep in a menu (one click would be better, or just put the upgrades on the main game screen)
  • buying the autoclicker should still let you click the button manually to speed things up (now it’s slower to have the autoclicker on that just spamming manually)
  • buying multiple autoclickers should stack (currently it’s just a waste to buy a new one before the previous runs out)

cute little clicker game!

Hi, thank you for the detailed review and points. I agree with you and i'll be sure to include these improvements in future updates!

I will check your game in the coming days as soon as my new pc arrives.

Although it is a "simple" clicker game, I think the great concept brings back a lot of originality to it! I also love the pixel art style you used, it really fits the game :333.

Nice job and good luck with it! <3333

Great spin on the whole clicker game idea - I liked the look and feel of it too, really retro! Great Job :)

I would've liked more upgrades and it expand out a little more, I got to 15k clicks but I wasn't sure if anything else kicks in and it got a little repetitive then. Good game to expand on though post-jam :)

I enjoyed it - good stuff :)

Developer

Hi thanks for the positive review. Agreed the game become repetitive too quick, this was due to time constraints. As you said a project to expand on! I'll be sure to check your game in the coming days as soon as my new pc arrives!

I like this concept a lot, and the overall aesthetic, from the hard drive spinning in the background to the triumphant fanfare every 500 points to charming retro graphics, was fantastic. I wish there was more to the game, as it gets very repetitive to keep mashing the F5 key (funny story, my first instinct when I saw F5 was to hit that key on my keyboard, which reloaded the page… lol). Overall a really well presented game, good work.

Also, this is an accurate simulation of me attempting to open my bios settings - probably my fault for having the bios wait time too short ig :).

Developer(+1)

Haha thank you for the positive feedback and advice. I intend to polish the game further in the future with new features etc! I know what you mean re bios settings 😂
