Hey, Scarybonz! Sorry for the late reply, thanks so much for playing and making a video! Lol love the thumbnail btw

Hahaha I had not thought about that option, that's a good one!

Thanks so much for playing and leaving your kind words!

Hey, Happy birthday! Don't go listening to creepy dolls now lol thanks so much for playing and leaving your review!

Thanks so much for your kind words! I'm happy I was able to spook you a lil bit, I wanted to stay away from jumpscares and making a horror game without them is hard!

Hahaha she really is the worst of influences! Yea, the idea behind having any voice acting at all was so I could exploit the whole "whispering secrets into your ear". I'm glad you enjoyed the voice acting, thanks for playing and leaving your kind words!

Thank you for playing and leaving your thoughts! Yea, I wanted to avoid using jumpscares as much as possible and tried a more cinematic approach, but in 7 days I could only do as much haha

Good environment and animations, very well done. I had a good laugh when the hunk in the bathtub showed up haha Real fun experience, good job!

Man, that was a sad story. Really well made, I was honestly expecting a jumpscare and here you got me feeling things. Good work!

Very fun little experience, I think the jumpscares would be more effective if you allowed the game to run in full screen. I enjoyed the interaction between Michelle and Mr Riddles, I got a bit worried when I learned I had to solve a riddle as I am not the brightest but I was relieved to find out it was very easy lol

Great stuff!

Great cutscenes and story, very professionally crafted. I love how you nailed the psx graphics, even the fonts are reminiscent of those games. Really good work, I am impressed!

What a fun twist for a clicker game, really good work with the particles! Very unsettling to peel away the dude's face, good stuff!

A fun experience! The game seems to point of several endings, but I could only get the one where the store clerk gets you, not sure if this was a bug or if the other endings were not implemented.

Other than that,  and the fact that the store clerk was missing some animations, I had a good time! That shopping list is something I would buy on a weekly basis lol

Good work!

Haha I thought I was being smart by looking at the door the whole time, I was not expecting the guy to be on the phone. Really good stuff, good buils of suspense and a good payoff. The monster wasn't particularly scary, but listening the costumers was very entertaining for me.

Good work!

Very good use of the directional audio. At first I thought the listen mechanic would take me to my friends but I ran into the monsters a bunch lol Couldn't really figure out what the secret ending was, but this was a fun and challenging game!

Very interesting use of the flashlight, specially with the puzzles. The monsters might seem a bit unfair at first, as you have to shine the flashlight on them for a bit, but I found it challenging and fun having to find the correct way to deal with them.

Really good stuff!

I couldn't figure out what to do and got stuck a couple of times so I had to restart.

The artwork looks nice and the concept behind it seems really interesting, I would've loved to have seen some of it getting implemented for the jam version. Keep up the good work!

Really interesting mechanic, I found some levels to be really challenging, but overall very fun!

The only bit of critique would be to have a more cohesive art style, the skeletons and the jumpscares pop out too much from the rest of the artwork.

Would like to see this idea developed further, cool stuff!

Interesting take on the deadly sins, I wasn't expecting the ending!

I got a bit spooked when the first monster showed up, but then they ended up being lil pets I'd carry around lol The final monster's design is really cool as well!

Good stuff!

Hey, KenzieKat669! I'm so glad you enjoyed it, thanks for uploading a video covering the game!

Hey, Queenfaith! Thanks for playing, I hope you enjoyed it!

Sorry for the late reply! Thanks so much for playing, Im glad you enjoyed it! :D

First of all, congrats on making it on your first gamejam!

The game itself was spooky, I got scarejumped a couple of times with the falling debri inside the house lol

I had to go poking around a bit to find out how to progress once I had found the diary, I thought I needed a key at first but then I ended up just using the crowbar.

Overall, really good stuff!

Having the stranger wait for the bus beside you was unnerving at first, until said bus did a Mario jump XD

When selecting to board the bus or not, I thought the option that was brightest was the one I was picking, so for my first run I actually didn't board and then unlocked a bad ending I think lol

Personally, I would shorten the wait times. I felt that they were too long and made me think the game bugged out or something.

Other than that, the game's fun!

Thank you so much, Marina! I appreciate you playing and leaving the kind words!

Hi, Hypertelex! Thank you so much for playing and your very detailed review!

Yea, I wanted to tell a more subtle horror story without using any jumpscares, I'm glad you appreciated my attempt!

Hi hi! Thanks so much for playing and your kind words! I'm glad you enjoyed it! :D

Really interesting concept. I liked the puzzles, althought there seem to be a couple of bugs here and there. On the 3er test I couldn't get the tv to turn on and I was locked in the room, so I had to start over again :(

I gotta say I was not a fan of the font used for top of the screen text, I felt like it put my eyes on too much of a strain.

I also had a bit of trouble getting to display the messages of the letters scattered around or maybe not all of them have a message to display? I couldn't tell.

I liked the concept of the experiments very much so and the puzzles are entertaining. Great stuff!

Amazing artwork and storytelling, I was very much engaged through the whole thing, awesome stuff!

I will definitely look it up, thanks so much for the tip! Loved your game, keep making awesome stuff! :D

I will forever obsess about how you made this hahaha What an interesting experience, definitely a stand out visually.

Thank you for playing!

Yeah, I agree, I ran out of time but I originally wanted to have more "events" like stuff falling on the ground or catching a glimpse of the demon in a corner somewhere. Hopefully I'll get to that in a coming update!

Thanks for playing and the kind words!

Man, I spent so much time playing this game hahaha I enjoyed it very much.

Also, mad props for having THREE different scenarios for a 7 day gamejam. The weeping angel mechanics was nerve inducing.

The only bit of critique I can offer is that visually it could be more cohesive, I think some imporvements over the UI and maybe adding some juice like sound effects when picking stuff up would greatly boost the game.

But I enjoyed the heck out of it, so much fun, good stuff!

Most excellent. The grungy aesthetics are very Silent Hill-esque which makes me very happy. The gameplay itself was a bit repetitive, but man, was the tension and the scares worth it.

Not sure if intended, but on the final cutscene I couldn't move the camera around.

Other than that, this was fantastic!

A slow burn, but a good one. Really "digging" (Ha, get it) the aesthetics.

I had to check the hints on your page because I had a hard time finding the green specs on the map (Although to be fair, I am kinda blind sometimes). But I really enjoyed it, kinda gave me Iron Lung vibes.

Loved the story, very suspenseful and well executed. I agree with other commenters that maybe adding more actions while waiting would keep players more engaged, could be subtle things that dont really affect the story, like switching lights on or off or stuff like that. Heck, the character doesn't even really need to react to them, it's just something else to do while waiting.

But I really enjoyed the slow burn, really great stuff for your first horror game, congrats!

A lil short, but the escape sequence was nerve inducing for me, so much that I didn't want to turn around and see what was chasing me lol Good Sound design as well.

Overall, it got me hooked and wanting to know more about what's to come. Good stuff!

Hi, thanks for playing!

I hadn't really thought about that, to be honest, it seems so obvious in hindsight, I think I was just so rushed that I forgot the mouse had buttons lol Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
