The baby doll staring at me dead into my soul, is primordially terrifying, I really enjoyed playing through the game and it was really impressive for a 7 day game jam. The game also left me wanting more which I think is perfect for a game jam.

I really enjoyed this game! I think I muttered "oh no" repeatedly to myself the whole time playing it (in a good way). After I got Baby Bonny, I went into the bathroom to try to flush her... I really wish I could do that haha! In all seriousness, this was great, it was really unnerving. I don't really have any other feedback, well done!

Developer(+1)

Hahaha I had not thought about that option, that's a good one!

Thanks so much for playing and leaving your kind words!

Started the game. β€œwake up, it’s your birthday!”… It is actually my birthday lol. Anyway I really like the game, it was somewhat predictable but I enjoyed it a lot. I mean, when you see a talking doll you know things are going south from there. The assets are really well done, the voice acting is good, everything is concise and overall works really well. Congrats!

Developer(+1)

Hey, Happy birthday! Don't go listening to creepy dolls now lol thanks so much for playing and leaving your review!

It's an interesting game, I quite enjoyed spending time in it. The game was able to scare it too (maybe I'm just very skittish.) I didn't think there would be the voice acting here.

Well done, I wish you success!

Developer(+1)

Thanks so much for your kind words! I'm happy I was able to spook you a lil bit, I wanted to stay away from jumpscares and making a horror game without them is hard!

That doll is such a bad influence... I enjoyed this game! The voice acting surprised me at first, I liked it! It added so much and made it such a different game than what it would have been without it. The audio coming through one ear as you listen to the doll also tied it together and gave it that nice touch. This was a good one

Developer(+1)

Hahaha she really is the worst of influences! Yea, the idea behind having any voice acting at all was so I could exploit the whole "whispering secrets into your ear". I'm glad you enjoyed the voice acting, thanks for playing and leaving your kind words!

Submitted(+1)

Really enjoyed this game! The voice acting was amazing and it was a really good subtle horror experience! :3

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing and leaving your thoughts! Yea, I wanted to avoid using jumpscares as much as possible and tried a more cinematic approach, but in 7 days I could only do as much haha

I really liked this game. Toy design and lighting in scenes and sounds and how it all works as a finished story. Very impressive.

Developer

Thank you so much, Marina! I appreciate you playing and leaving the kind words!

Definitely a highlight of the jam! This one is super fun. I like how Bonny sits squarely in the tradition of the 'cursed doll' archetype but goes down a different route by the end. The use of audio channels to share Bonny's secrets was a fun way of making it extra unsettling. I think Lya, who is credited as doing the voice acting on this, has done a top job, which is a very difficult task when you're playing a maniacal but cheeky doll. In terms of the scares, I like how this was a slow burn and didn't use cheap tricks - which made the disturbing actions of the player all the more impactful. I can, ah, see why the very last request was implied rather than visualised, but it's pretty clear what Bonny's final command of the player was. Really excellent work for the short timeframe you had for the jam!

Developer

Hi, Hypertelex! Thank you so much for playing and your very detailed review!

Yea, I wanted to tell a more subtle horror story without using any jumpscares, I'm glad you appreciated my attempt!

This is definitely one of the top 3 submissions so far. Very very creepy. I already hate puppets but Bonny sure is creepy. Crazy that you modelled her on the last day, she looks so good! Also very pleasing graphics and the voice acting very good!

Liked it very much!

Developer

Hi hi! Thanks so much for playing and your kind words! I'm glad you enjoyed it! :D

Simple, but a solid little game. Wish I could of used the [LMB] to Interact, sense the mouse buttons are not being used for anything.

Developer

Hi, thanks for playing!

I hadn't really thought about that, to be honest, it seems so obvious in hindsight, I think I was just so rushed that I forgot the mouse had buttons lol Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

Submitted(+1)

LOL, your not the only one develop that didn't think of using [LMB]

I was really prepping myself for the eyes to turn and look at me, but when she's telling secrets it's creepy enough. Very well done!

Developer(+1)

Haha she was originally going to have eyes and head animated, but I ran out of time :P I'll make sure to include those animations for an upcoming update, for sure!

Thanks for playing and sharing your feedback, much appreciated!

Oh my, what a scary devil doll lol for a long time I thought she was going to look at me, I was really worried.

I loved the feeling of terror that the game conveys... and the soundtrack is terrifying

- oh and for me the brother didn't appear, in this case the crib was empty and the pentagram too

Otherwise, congratulations, the game is perfect

Developer(+1)

Thanks so much for playing! Im glad you liked it! Originally I wanted Baby Bonny to be fully animated (Eyes and head) but I finished modeling her on the last day of deadline so I didnt get to do what I wanted lol

And yea, same thing happened with the brother :P It's a missing asset that I couldnt find time to model.

Thanks so much for the feedback!

Submitted(+1)

Wow, do that, if her eyes turned to me at any point I would have jumped out of my chair lol

Wow this was amazing! Captivating from the beginning and Baby Bonnie sure is creepy! I also really loved the sound design and story! 10/10

Sound and design are greate! But its not scared me at all

Developer

Thanks for playing and sharing your thoughts!

I agree, the game is not all that scary. I tried to convey a more subtle type of horror but honestly, I feel like I missed the mark on that one and I partly blame the time limit. I was thinking of adding more environmental scares for future updates.

Submitted(+1)

The environment is absolutely stellar, the particles, the blurs afar, the lighting, and the props, absolutely build a creepy and intense feeling while navigating the house.

The sound design and the voice actor are great, it really makes the doll creepy.

The game direction and intentions are very well executed.

The buildup is amazing, but I think the climax just needs a bit more for the horror I think, I like that there's no jumpscare haha I'm a scaredy cat.

It was a great experience, thank you devs for the game :D

Developer

Thank you for playing!

Yeah, I agree, I ran out of time but I originally wanted to have more "events" like stuff falling on the ground or catching a glimpse of the demon in a corner somewhere. Hopefully I'll get to that in a coming update!

The atmosphere and decor seem very well executed.
