I don't know if I didn't understand what I really had to do because as soon as the monster appears on the screen, I die immediately. I thought there was a way to escape his attacks, but I couldn't, I ended up getting stuck at the first chakra point and then I couldn't progress any further. However, I found the aesthetics of the game quite interesting, I would have liked to have progressed more. Congratulations on the game!!
At the beginning of the game, there’s a dialogue that explains how to eliminate the monsters: you have to aim your flashlight at them until they disappear. Thank you for playing and for your feedback.
I'm not fluent in English, maybe that explains my failure lol.. A technique that I think could be used, to help less literate people like me, is in the first appearance of the monster, make her turn with the flashlight towards him, and speak something simple like "shine the flashlight", you know, that playable tutorial. Besides, now that I know, I'll play again. Thank you so much!!!
- If you could take a look at our project, it would be incredible :D
English isn’t my first language either, so I totally understand jajaja. That’s a great idea! If I update the game after the jam, I’ll consider implementing it. If you play it again, I hope you enjoy it. Thank you so much for your feedback.
-I’ll check out your game right now!
Congrats on your submission! Since the light passes through the walls, I was thinking the enemies should die as well so I died a few times trying to kill the enemies through the wall as they attacked me. Once I figured out, OH, the hitbox is probably a raycast or something and it's hitting the wall, I backed away and killed a lot more of them. I did die a few times while I was pointing the flashlight at them, if it is a raycast, maybe I was pointed slightly off where it didn't hit them, but the light was definitely on them.
Perhaps it's a bug, but when I died and selected a checkpoint, the battery level didn't reset to what it was at that checkpoint, so I ran out of battery and couldn't complete the maze.
Overall, I really like the design. The jump scare mechanic got me the first time and the subsequent times I don't know if the enemies were spawning too quickly, but the jumpscares didn't phase me.
The battery mechanic is intentional; you’re supposed to manage the battery level until the end of the game, which means you’ll have to navigate through some areas in the dark. I’ll check the raycast for the enemies. It shouldn’t be detecting the walls, so the issue must be something else—I’ll look into it. Thank you very much for your feedback and for playing.
I liked the game and the flashlight mechanic is very good.
My only issue is that the font is a bit hard to read but that's fine
Came into it thinking "eh surely it won't be too scary" yea nah those lurkers kicked my a** lol. I liked the usage of the flashlight tying into the combat and though I found it kinda disappointing that a maze game had a map I grew to appreciate it as I played on. I liked this one, good job!
Hi, thank you very much for your comment. I’m glad you liked it. In the end, the player chooses whether to use the map or not, it’s there to provide help to those who want it. Thanks for playing and for your feedback.
Very interesting use of the flashlight, specially with the puzzles. The monsters might seem a bit unfair at first, as you have to shine the flashlight on them for a bit, but I found it challenging and fun having to find the correct way to deal with them.
Really good stuff!
Thanks for the feedback, I really appreciate it!
I really like this and think you added in a number of features that made the design of a maze game more user-friendly and considered than usual. The inclusion of a map, checkpoints and gates really add to the feeling of progression and minimised the frustration with the game. I thought you executed those really well and it added incentive to explore even more - some more landmarks or variety could have helped do so even more, I think! Once you explained the approach to the torch-based "combat" against the monsters it made a lot of sense and worked pretty well - the first time I was set upon by multiple I freaked out! You've done a great job with this game and it is no surprise to me that both involved have had quite a bit of experience with development in the past - it shows!
Thank you very much for your kind words. My goal in design was to create an experience that didn’t seem too complicated for the player, as the darkness seemed sufficient. Ultimately, the right approach is for the player to have fun, not to get frustrated. I’m very glad you enjoyed the game. I highly value your feedback. Thank you so much ❤️
this is beautiful!
I enjoyed the game! The monsters was a bit hard for me to "kill" before they got to me. Good game!
I like this game, my only issue is that the monsters take a really long time to disappear. It's a great submission otherwise.
Thanks ❤️
Really good experience. I would point the fact that there is no restart button. So once you ran out of energy, there is no way to keep moving. And a way to know if you are hitting the monsters with the light would be amazing. But really good game
For the light issue, it’s intended that you don’t use it all the time so you can manage it, and you find batteries around the map to recover it. But I’ll look into it so it’s not so frustrating. Finding a way to know if the light is hitting is a great idea, I’ll think of something :)
Thank you very much for your feedback, believe me, I’ll take it into account.
The lighting and the polish of dialogue delivery were highlights for me. I feel as though i didnt get a chance to defeat the monsters before being hurt by them.
I’m glad you liked those features since it’s something I’ve worked on a lot.
I recommend you follow the monster with the mouse, placing the mouse right on top, that might help
Damn that first jumpscare already got me. Dunno how to deny those spawning monster from hitting you? Trying to point the flashlight at them but somehow it's not working. Maybe I'm just dumb haha.
Really enjoyed it tho, and definitely one of the scariest games so far! :)

Best submission so far! :)
Thank you so much! We’re thrilled you enjoyed it! 😊
