To whomever did 22269 I'm impressed once it reaches 60 spawn rate I'm just dead xD great fun and great twist on the cookie clicker.

There is some balancing issue and audio but nothing impossible to fix - could easily be a nice mobile game. Great job!

Cute game - I like the pressure due to the timer :D I play the "new version" so can't complain about sound or anything else.

Only comment is the shadow not matching the "square" art direction - it through me off a couple of times.

Thanks for your kind words! pong on a circle is indeed difficult. It was an interesting challenge for us to make it playable and feel good. While we did learn a lot there is still progress to be done.

(also secret: we actually made the initial values a bit off to make it very hard to beat without upgrading a few times ..

Indeed the controls can feel a bit off, it is a hard thing to set right in 48h ... specifically when you do something a  bit different than standards. It was fun to explore for us and we will probably learn a lot from it.

The game is also build to be a bit uncomfortable in the beginning, but as you get powers it should feel better and better on top of you (as a player) getting some muscle memory kicking in!
But it is a valuable feedback: the entry accessibility bar might be a bit off and a stopper for other players.

Indeed, the more elements the easier it gets ... which is contradicting with the idea of a game that should be more and more challenging. Blame the small amount of time to properly balance that ;)

It is a bit hard, controls are not perfect and far from natural or standards. Also we made it hard so that you die and get a chance to have a bonus to help :D.

We are a bit thrown in the lion pit, but it is fast to simply retry and attempting to understand how it works. Great fun once I did!
I also think the enemies are too fast and slower but greater number would make a better experience (or increasing their speed over time !)

We are aware that the skill page is not clear enough (in what it does and what you can select), came a bit late during production! We have some fixes ready ^^

I feel very stupid do not have passed lvl 3 xD but I realized I was not alone - very cute presentation though! very polished as well !

The soapy effect has also been noted on our side (and a new version waits the end of the voting to be pushed), unfortunately catching those requires time and a lot of playtest both usually lacking in Jams ...

You are not the only one complaining about a button to restart quickly. We shall see how to answer that cleverly!

Nah you're not bad, it is also something I noticed (the soappy effect) and in a new version (to be submitted after the results) we corrected that. Sound is to be improved 100%.

No need to be sorry :) - I was a bit frustrated that I couldn't get information on my health or my damage for example.
If I had to give a boring example: a health bar.

Very nice game :) love the bullet time effect!

I'm missing a bit of information to really grasp the full gameplay loop ^^. I would also suggest to add a reason to move around - you can play without moving currently ^^.

It is a really good base for a "flow game" I could see it go faster and faster and faster...

To add details to what my dear friend said, we use rigidbody and mess up with the velocity (in the very big broad picture, I let the coders of the group answer in more details).
Designers had access to several variables to tweak everything, as example for the normal jump: we controlled the height of the jump the length when going up, the length when going down (the jump is not just a simple arc, it is the mix of 2), the velocity to go up and the max fallspeed when going down  (we can make the character go high super fast and then "float" until reaching ground). Finally we could tweak how much air control you have.
All of this is roughly duplicated so we set a "small" jump and a "high" jump, then based on your input you lerp in between :)

There is room for improvement to go from fun to super fun - well done!

With some additional / better feedback I would have enjoyed it even more!

Examples: I don't know how long I'm supposed to try to survive / The last Boss Wings of hell shoots red bullets on a red background (seems not the best combination xD?) / I don't see when I'm getting hit (and having some frames of invincibility could have been nice).

Regardless - well done :)


 

A bit confused at first - then I read the instructions and kept playing for too long!
Cute, clever and well made!

If you continue on this it would probably deserve an economy / balancing pass (you can easily have one card stacking up to 8 coins :D).

Last but not least: I'm deeply impress by the number of cards specially thinking about the process behind! 

this was a surprise! 

As everyone said really impressive job! Though it can feel a bit repetitive (what about a toad that needs water ! Or an animal that stops from time to time?)

But overall loved it :)
