epic

As someone who's never touched The Lettuce in their entire life, I just felt like a very stoner vibe kind of game would be very appropriate for this jam for some reason. It just makes sense in my head

And as for the platforming...yeah I really fell victim to the classic game dev trap where you're used to your own game and you're like "hm this isn't that bad" but then it turns out that it's actually very hard ...sorry about that

I was hoping someone would make a game where the main mechanic is exploiting a "glitch". Honestly this is one of my favorites

By the end the game was just a static screen with only screams of agony and people congratulating me playing over it. 10/10 this is an amazing submission

This could've been great but the extremely high sensitivity makes it absolutely unplayable, but the little of the game i did get to see before getting too frustrated to continue was amazing

I will admit that there are some small improvements I could've made that you and other people have suggested and some that even I myself have thought about but the bad part of so bad it's good extends to the code itself. The reason why I finished a day early instead of adding other things was because by the end I felt like I was playing late stage jenga and if I were to do one wrong move the tower would collapse so I just left it as it is. Well except for the lack of alternate control schemes, that is on me (I say as if the other stuff wasn't)

I have not played HK yet (I swear I want to I just haven't gotten around to it yet theres just too many games i need to catch up on), I just named her such because mitzi is a very cat name, and I guess this confirms it

amen

Was this based on that one amazon store? lol

this is amazing, but also way too fast for me to keep track of everything

I really like the visual and audio design

The way I coded in the enemy collision was very wonky and the way it was set up the hotbox needed to be quite big and I knew that from the first second I put the enemies in the game but in the name of jank I decided to not make them work better

The scream the coworkers make when they're in the air for too long is way too funny to me

I think I may make a game based off it at some point except with actual effort put into it

The authorities don't want you to know this but you can in fact throw bricks at people! And it's completely safe and legal! Go try it!

(for legal reasons: do not do that)

This is a beautiful fever dream

some of these are extremely annoying (which i assume is the point) but this is an awesome submission

Man hotline miami 3 really took the series in a weird direction

This isn't even so bad it's good, this is genuinely just good, like really good

what can I say, it came from the heart

Pro tip: don't do that

Well you can still technically beat the game without it, but still

Don't do that

I got actually scared by a jumpscare I knew was going to happen the first time I played it and even though it's simple (I mean it's a jam game duh), sneaking around is pretty fun, which is surprising for me to say because I usually don't like stealth games/sections

I somehow haven't encountered this during testing. This is beautiful

Thank you for playing! I guess it is very obvious that yume nikki was the biggest inspiration and I wasn't even trying to hide it lol

And as for some of the imagery and the ending, yeah let's just say that I've also had some darker thoughts in my time (most of the things in the game are based on real dreams I've had, which is why some things are as convoluted as they are)

I'm so sorry about the ice physics, when playing through it again semi recently I realized that it really sucks lol. As for the building you're looking for, let's just say it outright tells you the time you are supposed to be there

No way someone's actually played the game. Anyways, the last two (I guess three) items are fairly well hidden, so I understand how one would have trouble finding them. Here's some help to nudge you in the right direction

  • there is a secret path inside of egg quest (the platformer one). Following it may require you to go out of bounds at some point
  • There is a building somewhere that requires you to return at a specific time. If you don't want to wait until then, it has a secret entrance
  • The last item is locked behind the rest. Once you've collected all other 9, a barricade somewhere will disappear

I hope this was helpful enough without spoiling much

he is my father and has taught me all his skills, which I have mastered and improved upon

Hey, sorry for not replying sooner, I didn't notice your reply until now. I didn't take a screenshot of it at the time (although I totally should have, sorry!), so I had to edit together roughly what it looked like just to give you an idea, the enemies kept walking straight to the right, not following the path and there were no towers which could damage them, resulting in a soft lock
I couldn't paste my recreation into the comment itself, so here
is an external link to it. Hope this helps!

I like the way this game works with the 2 button limitation! It is really fun to play even with the sudden difficulty spike, and I like the art and artstyle (yes including the mascot, I get why others don't like her but I don't really mind either way)

Thank you! The art style was very deliberate

thank you for your kind words! Now that I've had some time to think about it I think I did go too hard in the "this is bad" direction regarding this game

This was very different from what I was expecting, but in a good way!

very fun but also challenging

This was a really fun and unique TD game! Others have already pointed out why, so I won't repeat it, but I'd like to mention that on my first playthrough I got softlocked because the little enemies got stuck in a blind spot where they didn't move and nothing could hit them
