This was so good! The idea of pausing  the game in order  to progress is so good, and honestly I found it to be a surprisingly challenging platformer (is it a platformer? Fly-er? sky-er? who knows!)

I couldn't make it past the last level but I was close! This was really fun though!

Fun SBIGJam fact! One of the very first SBIGJam games from 7 years ago was a flappy bird parody, and still goes down in my memory as one of the best SBIGJam games to date! Nice to see another one pop up, and with this level of creativity!

Thanks for  taking part in the jam!

For a floppy bird clone this was surprisingly fun!

The pausing mechanic was neat, the artstyle is hilarious, and the music in the background is fitting.

I didn't manage to beat it sadly as I couldn't get past that one gauntlet level where you start on top of the enemy.

I liked what I played though, good work!

I was hoping someone would make a game where the main mechanic is exploiting a "glitch". Honestly this is one of my favorites

Cool game! I think the 'pause' mechanic was a really great idea.

this bird is just like me fr

but honestly, this was a genuinely impressive (and surprisingly deep) game, especially for something thrown together in only 8 hours. Well done!

I’ll confess that I did find myself cheesing through the final level (after many failed attempts at doing it legit), but I genuinely enjoyed my time with this game, and I greatly enjoyed how the ‘buggy’ pause screen was used as the core mechanic of the game.

One QOL feature I would have liked would have been some sort of visual indicator of Depressed Bird’s current velocity direction (just to make aiming those particulary tricky pause slides a little bit easier), but still, great work nonetheless.

Cool concept with the pause mechanic. Thought it could be explained a bit better/more intuitive as I had a bit of a hard time estimating the velocity before pausing so it took a lot of retrys. Good job on the submission!

tougher then I expected. Good job!

For me I couldn't go past the first stage but that might just be me

A really cool idea to use the pause to get through certain obstacles, took me a minute to wrap my head around but works really well and is a nice distinction from other flappy bird games.

I was expecting an unplayable nightmare, but it was actually pretty fun, and the "glitchy pause" was a neat touch. Definitely has a bit of a weird web game vibe. Also, I thought the bird was a lemon.

love the birds face lol, great game

Once you master using pause to go through walls, the controls feel buttery smooth!
