Thank you for the comment! Any resemblance to Aperture Science is accidental :)

Finished two runs on 0.1.2 one after another, and I have to say that the game felt easier somehow.

  • Revolver is too OP, especially for the HostDear fight (took her down in 15 seconds without any damage multipliers)
  • Cowgirl hat is somewhat OP, having more than one of them significantly reduces the risk of being hit by projectiles
  • 2nd boss skip (safe spot in the bottom-right corner) is not fixed

I think the player should not be allowed to have more than 2 items of the same type.

More feedback after playing on v0.1.1:

  • 2nd boss can be killed with zero damage by just locating yourself in a bottom-right corner - minigun’s projectiles will despawn out of screen, and left gun’s projectiles won’t even fly in that corner
  • there is a new bug when the game spawns an empty item, and it might put two objects in one slot
  • even one monkey is too OP for stages 1-3, grunts are getting killed outside the screen. If you have the pickaxe, then you can practically do nothing.
  • item randomization is still not great, I’ve got 4 plushies during the first two stages

Very fun game! It looks and sounds wonderful. The game loop is addicting, easy to learn for those who don’t play bullet hell games that often.

Couple of bugs:

  • Item randomization and buff stacking are broken. It often gives me the same buff over and over. Sometimes it’s absolutely OP (7x purple tea + frying pan), and sometimes it does absolutely nothing (5x dog ears + Megatron). When it goes wrong, even the first boss is very difficult to beat (I think it regenerates during the fight, so I was dealing next to none damage while wearing 5x dog ears). But when it goes VERY wrong (more than one monkey), the shooting becomes irrelevant… Needs huge rebalancing pass.
  • I don’t feel like Megatron does anything, or it is not that obvious when it does. Maybe something like a visual or sound cue? The frying pan’s feedback is a perfect example.
  • Music for 1st and 3rd bosses does not loop properly
  • No SFX during the stage change
  • Stage 3 has a massive difficulty jump even compared to Stage 2.
  • 1st stage for the forth boss can be easily avoided if you have enough monkeys to deal damage, see the video

Some piwwos say that the frying pan is OP, but I think it is very fair because it has a wider hitbox and WILL wear out during the boss fights.

Cool game, in my humble and unbiased opinion!

I am not a fan of visual novels myself, but having Neuro and Vedal reading and reacting to it was a ton of fun! Thank you for making this possible!

We have a folder full of noises here: https://nuero.fun/noises

I mean, yes :)

Interesting concept. Quite puzzling controls though (left and right are mirrored, but up and down are the same).

Quite reminiscent of old Flash games. Not playable though.

Absolute fun! I like these wacky, Impossible Quiz-like games :)

Absolutely adorable! Levels lack the visual representation, but it is possible to make it thought just be shier luck. Writing is awesome, all the characters are represented as they should be.

Perfect little game, I enjoyed it a lot!

Who would’ve thought that Neuro Plush can be terrifying! Spooky lil’ game.

That’s a Neurosweeper, alright :)

Quite a spin on Minecraft concept :) Controls are very wacky (especially the ladders)

Cute spin on Sokoban genre. Love the aesthetics!

That’s quite a game!

Immaculate art! Quite a short experience, though. I thought it was bugged when I wasn’t able to beat the bosses, but you just have to skip through dialogs with Space first. But there is no challenge with bosses anyway - you just need to stay out of their attack zone and spam Attack.

Cute and fun game!

940! Very fun game!

Please make a full game! This art needs its justice!

Cute little game. I like Neuro’s model!

I like the story and the sound design. With enough polish, might be a cool standalone game.

Interesting idea for a game, lacks music and SFX.

Interesting idea, but lacks music and SFX.

Game loop is basic, but pretty fun. Animations are perfectly done. It looks like a complete game.

ART IS SO AMAZING HOLY!!!

Cute little game. Sometimes the required character spawns behind someone, which softlocks the game.

Fun little game, although quite hard.

Controls are kinda wacky: there is no sense of control in midair, quite frustrating. Music department doesn’t quite highlight the game loop, which is fantastic. I think that the only battle-tested weapon in the game was the Gymbag, since the other two are not designed for those enemies: Tin Cans are uncontrollable, and Evil Plush doesn’t have enough range.

Overall, a good game concept and a great candidate for a full game!

Absolutely adorable! Short and sweet, although it would be fun to have Vedal and Neuro’s actual noises instead of generic ones.

Good job!

Game loop is fun, but lacks polish and proper tutorial. Music is… interesting. Art is awesome.

Interesting game overall.

Interesting concept, but it lacks some balancing. Health is of an essence here, but there are not enough items which boost it. It feels like there is a predetermined set of actions required to complete the game, but this is not a puzzle game. Art and music are fantastic.

I love this game and I wish to see a full version!

The controls are kinda funky, it takes a minute to get used to. The game loop is fun for a couple of minutes game session. Lack of the timer certainly makes the game less challenging. Art is pretty.

Cute little game.

The idea of switching characters is nothing new, but fits the game loop pretty well. Art, albeit basic, is well done. Movement lacks some polish.

Overall, a nice game.

Interesting concept, but far from being playable for more than a minute. No SFX and music, lack of background (I find myself lost without anything to attach my eye to). Cute art though.

I like the concept! Although it lacks proper tutorial and guidance, the idea of switching pools of rooms to progress is fun and enjoyable. Controls are quite wacky (e.g. diagonal move is not possible). And, again, the lack of guidance.

I wish to see this as a full game!

The art is cute, music and SFX are complementing. Game loop is fun and relaxing. Chat is a gimmick, but quite fitting for the character in question. Waves require some balancing.

Cute little game.

Nice concept. Default controls are not very user-friendly, and the mosquito SFX is annoying.

Good attempt tho!

I understand that it supposed to be a labyrinth of some sort, but it is frustrating to navigate: all the halls are the same. Flying robots don’t quite fit the overall art design. The only actual challenge in the game is jumping: a lot of momentum, hard to get used to.

But, overall, cute game.

Perfect art (both pixel and on the splash screens). Puzzles are easy, but fun to solve. There is no indication what character is under your control, and SFX are missing.

Cute little game, it was fun to play!
