Hi, I’m on a mission to play all the fellow “duck” games.

The gameplay is simple and easy to pick up. It’s a nice complete game. I liked the camera work, it wasn’t just static and following the duck, it was much more dynamic. Good work!

Thank you! Cinamachine was a big help with this project.

So cute! I like the art style, it fits very well your story (and the duckilings are adorable) Thanks for all the checkpoints, they were very useful to me lol. Great work!

Developer(+1)

Thank you! This jam was an amazing learning experience, especially with the art style. I'm glad the checkpoints helped.

Ahah really cool, the checkpoints are perfect !

Developer

Thank you!

some of the sections were a little tough, appreciate the generous checkpoints. Loved the game.

Developer

Thank you! Yup, it's a lot harder than it comes off to be.

Wow cool pixel art! Cute

Developer

Thank you!

It felt like only the narrative had fit the game jam but it had nothing to do with the mechanics. I liked the nostalgic 3d pixel art, but the gameplay felt a little flat since it didn't tie in with the theme either.

Developer(+1)

Thank you! Unfortunately, I couldn't think of an idea for the entire first day, so I had to come up with something since I started a day late, it's pretty loose, but I wanted to get something finished. 😅

i beat this game

Developer

Good job, thanks for playing it on stream!

I appreciate the calm atmosphere of your game, I also think it was the right length. I think I was expecting at least another mechanic towards the end, but I'm sure that has to do with time constraints as is usual with jams.

My favorite part was the visuals! Well done

Developer

Thank you! Yeah, I was planning to add more stuff, but time took its toll.

Fun experience, good level design! Thanks a lot for the forgiving savepoints :D

Developer

Thank you! Yeah, I have made the mistake of including no checkpoints before and didn't want to make it again.

i like the level design! i would work the cameras sometimes its a little too zoom in make me cant see much of the levels

Developer

Thank you for the feedback!

Great use of poetry and music to set such pleasant tone for the game! I also actually appreciated the shortness of the game! It was a nice lil refreshing game with a calming effect. Overall, great game :)

Developer

Thank you for the kind words! I was hoping the game would come across that way. While I didn't manage to add everything I wanted to, I am glad you found its simplicity appreciative!

Great game! I did get stuck on one level because of the hitboxes but apart from that it was fun! I also love the pixel shader that you’ve used!

Developer(+1)

Thank you! Yeah,  hopefeully, after the jam I will get the colliders fixed.

Submitted(+1)

Love the intro poem and general vibe of the game! The music is very relaxing :)
On the downside some of the hitboxes felt rather unfair. It wasn't too bad though because there's checkpoints :)

Developer

Thanks! Yeah, I wish I had noticed that before rating started.

Nice game. I really liked the rhymes and the music!

Developer

Thank you! I had a lot of fun working on it.

I really loved the Pixel Shader! As well as the rhymes in the start & the end. Though I kinda didn't get how roles reversed did fit, but maybe I'm missing something. Regardless very cute game!

Edit: Maybe should've read the description, haha :P

Developer

Thanks! I had fun coming up with the rhymes :D

Fun game, but definitly harder than the music make it seems haha. Favorite detail is how we can bump the floaters a little. Or maybe we cant and the movement and sound makes it satisfying, not sure.

Developer

Thank you! Yeah, the bumping is in fact a feature, I am glad you noticed it!

Cool game, very emotional. Would love to see more!

Developer

Thank you! I always try to sneak in some sort of message into my games, and it being a take on a fairy tale made that a lot easier.

Submitted(+1)

I really liked the pixelated appearance. I'm glad the duckling decided to go back home :)

Developer

Thank you!  I have always wanted to make a game in this style and this jam was a great oppurtunity to do so.

The ducks are adorable:D I liked the game

Developer

Thank you! The art style changed a lot during development but I ended up with something I was happy with.

Submitted(+1)

Nice game :D and way more challenging than expected, especialy because its very pixelated :)

Developer(+1)

Thanks! Yeah, the game is a lot more difficult than it seems, although with proper timing and precision the crocodiles stand no chance against the duckling 😂.
