Yeah unfortunately I wasn't able to play much due to the game freezing. The art that I did see was pretty neat though

This game is very charming. It's gotta a lot of style that fits really well together. The little loading/intro scenes with the wave in the background is especially cool.
The concept of rolling a slot machine to be able to choose between a couple of different bosses was pretty interesting, as well as the power up tombola. Although I did find myself getting frustrated if I only got one power up option, so I'm glad that there was a reroll.
The bosses were fun and even more fun once I had a little bit of speed. Although I do wish that they had more attack patterns than just two different types of projectiles. The final boss twist was neat, I'm glad that it had a little bit personality/story thrown into it.
Great work!
I really liked the freedom that the spell system gave me, it was fun to try and mix and match all of the different spells and they were relatively cheap so I was able to try most of them.
The boss design was also pretty varied. I liked that they had environments that matched the art of the boss. Although the player character almost felt as if the style of player was different than the rest of the game. Very Realm of the Mad God-esque which is charming.
I liked the attack patterns of all the bosses quite a bit. The projectile attack patterns of the first boss were especially fun to dodge. I ran into a few issues with the kraken boss, mostly due to the fact that the tentacle arm movement collider stayed on the map even after the arm disappears when the squid submerges. But it was really satisfying to trivialize the crabs with the continuous laser.
Charming little game, if it had a little bit more polish, I could see myself playing this for hours.
This game is pretty fun to play, I like the little mechanics that you added to both of the boss fights to differentiate the map a little bit. Although the fact that I got 15 extra damage from the duel seems like a lot.
I like that it felt like i was setting up with right click and the launching while shielding. It was a good system that felt pretty satisfying to play.
I wish that I could have moved a little bit faster, because at times it felt as if I was fighting against the speed I was moving in order to get set up to play.
Art was a little bit rough, and I wish I got a little bit more visual feedback when I was hit by the different projectiles that were flying around the map, they were kind of hard to see.
Good job though, fun game!
Nice Game!
Visual are really good, distinct art style but it was still very clear to see what was going on the entire time. I never felt that I was lost about where I was, nor where the enemy was.
I loved the little rotational parallax going on in the background, that was a nice little touch. Although I wish that I got a little bit more visual feedback throughout the game. It was unclear when I was actually damaging the boss unless I was listening for the specific sound that they play when they take damage. It would have been nice to get some sort of hit confirmation, in the form of a flash or something else to tell me that I was hitting the right spot. Same for when the player gets hit, sometimes I would die and I didn't even realize that I had been hit at all in the first place.
I really love the Boss Design for this game too, the way that the phases were very distinct from each other was nice, and the little transitionary phase where they attack but cannot be damaged was also a great way to break up the boss fights. I think my personal favorite boss was the second one, although it does feel like a massive spike in difficulty from the first boss.
Great Job especially in use of theme and the visuals.
I think the art in this game is really charming. The art style is pretty, the color direction is really clear which I always have problem with in my own work, and the gameplay is really relaxing.
This game could have been even better if it had some really relaxing music in the background and better mouse controls. I understand that the game is much better mobile and it wont really affect my controls rating but it would have been a nice little addition.
Good Game!
That was a fun little game! I liked the feel of the overall game, although I wish I knew the player's hitbox. ik that most of the games in this genre , the player has a very small hitbox. I assumed it was the red portion of the player model but I was never sure.
The game was very satisfying especially once you get the 5 projectile spread on the final boss.
This game is very fun and I loved the art style especially.
The little dinosaur character was very cute and the bosses were very charming. The mechanic of swapping between the left and right click depending on color was also very fun. I did experience a couple of hiccups every time a projectile fired for the first time, even on the windows build, but otherwise no other performance issues.
I loved the first boss especially, partially because there was a frantic energy as they kept getting faster as I hit them.
I wish there was more to do in the second boss boss a little bit. Even before I figured out the unscrewing of the head of the boss, I was just sitting in the middle of map waiting for his next attack for most of the time.
And just to round it off the third boss was fun too. I liked the simon says-esque mechanic while simultaniously dodging the tornados/ parrying the tornados.
Art was very cute. Music and sound was similarly good.
Great game!
Cute game, I liked that there were several different weapon options to choose from, although I found that the katana was the most useful for all three bosses. I wish I had an option to cycle in the other direction
The art is very charming , very retro-inspired. I would absolutely play an entire game with this kind of aesthetic. The bosses looked like they were scaled up though which gives them a larger pixel size compared to the rest of the art. The particles also looked really good, I liked the fireball explosion on the third boss.
I thought it was a bit frustrating that the game didn't have a save system of some kind. i would have liked to have been able to attempt the boss again after dying instead of being force to start from the beginning. Especially since one of the times after I killed the wizard, one of the flaming skulls shot me 5 times while i was slowly falling down the hole and I died.
The sounds were good, I didn't need to adjust anything to make things comfortable. The little guy at the start talking about the locked door was also very charming.
Good Game!
I love and hate this game.
Just off the bat the Art and the Music are amazing, even after playing as long as I did, I still did not get tired of listening to the music. The art is incredibly cute, all of the bosses have so much character to them and I loved seeing the little poses before or after attacks.
I think my main problem with the game is that the controls never really clicked with me very much. I started originally by using the dynamic control, however I switched over to the original controls with j and k instead because being able to start at the top of the arc felt very important to me. Little things would happen very consistently that were incredibly frustrating that made me feel like I was fighting the controls more than the bosses. Little things like, not realizing that the parry is for the entire upwards duration and not just the start, the fact that I was unable to exit the spin attack so if a boss attack started I would be force to just tank it, or the fact that I had to press s again after getting a successful hit in order to fly again in order to spin attack again.
I liked the bosses, they were very charming. I felt that the dog boss was the most difficult, it felt impossible to actually get a parry off during the dig attack. Similarly during stage 2 of the snake boss it was frustrating to wait for the green bone to actually be parry-able usually due to another bone just sitting slightly underneath it. But stages 1 and 3 were fine, they felt quite easy after learning the pattern.
The amount of work put into this is super impressive, it really feels like a cohesive whole.
Good luck in the jam I hope this game does well
