This game is awesome!!! I like the overlaying musical themes, the visuals, the mood in the room, and all the details to explore. This game is so good! Great job!

Great game! I like that the sounds fit together and are in harmony with each other (despite the fact that they are so different and so many). It's a positive and fun game, kept me engaged.
However, the rules of the game are not intuitive. I read the instruction but the rules vanished from my memory immediately when I started to play :) In the more polished version the instructions could be part of a game (an onboarding).
Took a while to figure out that I don't have to hit space when the block reaches its shadow - that I can just leave the block in the correct position and move to the next one. Sometimes it felt like the game punished me even though I did everything correctly.
Overall a nice concept and I think it could be developed into something really cool. What if you'd have to do all actions in time of the music?
Very nice visuals! Even though the result in the current version sounds quite basic, I like that the music is procedurally generated - it fits the roguelike genre.
I wish the difficulty built up at a more gradual pace. I'd like to get used to dealing with enemies in 2-3 smaller levels with fewer enemies.
Thanks a lot! Glad you noticed the layering of the drum and animal sounds.
You've made some really valid points about some of the shortcomings of the current version of the game. Solving the problem of the beats being out of time when looped is tricky without a metronome to guide the player but I think it's doable. Clearer visual guides for the expected inputs on the 'piano roll' is definitely doable and should be improved!
Thanks! The idea for this game was to experiment with what would happen if we took any kind of rhythmic reference out of a rhythm game. It's all about free improvisation with the sounds you're given.
I agree, though, that adding a metronome would make the game more structured and easier to follow. It's just not what we were going for in this case.

Hey, thanks for trying! We'll look into adding more polish to the system that checks how accurately the player repeats the rhythm after the rating ends. We obviously didn't do too much play testing during the 48h we had for making the game so it might be too strict at the moment.
Your high score is off the charts!
