Yeah I really wish I could've done better with my time management(´ . .̫ . `)

It's gonna be fun working with you!! Here's to 1,440 hours of game development<3

It's completely understandable if you need to take a break, I don't want you to get demotivated by the one thing you love doing, and I can't help but feel like I'm responsible for the way you're feeling and doing, even if it's just a little bit!ówò

If you do feel bad enough to take a step away from everything, that's fine. No one's perfect, and it's okay to recover and take care of yourself because burnout is a really scary thing. But discipline is still important, and i think it all just comes down to a matter of how strong you are mentally.  I'm always gonna be here supporting you no matter what<3

I love how silly Calum looks!! Sending good vibes your way so you're less stressed:D<3

Well, I'd definitely don't want the big important plot points to be spoiled! Maybe just tidbits of concept art and cgs? That's what I do with the very few games I released! But it's really hard to avoid revealing the story if you do share LER's development, so it's kind of a double-edged sword..

The boys are looking nice! Calum in particular is kawaii sugoi desu :3 I really like how the demo looks so far, Elio's really cute!! Maybe the dialogue color should be adjusted a little so it doesn't blend in to the background as much, or make the textbox transparency be a little more opaque so we could see the text easily? I'm really happy you took my suggestions and put it in the composition :3 I can't wait to play it once it's fully finished!

Ur welcome!! I just woke up, but maybe instead of just looking into the distance, he's closing his eyes and resting? The other two would look like they're admiring his eepy peaceful expression, and that way you could still have the same metaphor you're aiming for but still retain the same composition!

Alot of progress you've shown us so far! The composition for the title screen also looks really nice! I just wanna know why Calum is looking seemingly into the distance because it's kinda confusing? Other than that it's good :3

Looking at the concept art, I had an idea if you wanted to try zooming out the camera a little bit and add a foreground element? (Like a tree or more bushes) So it could look more interesting!

Elio has shiny boobas :3

Love triangles!! I feel like when executed well, they can be really interesting, however it's a bit tricky to manage one without falling into the same overused 'shy love interest and tsundere love interest likes generic character' trope like most media I've seen

Oh oh, if you need help on screens, I can provide some answers to stuff that might be confusing! My game 'Bloom of The White Crystal' was one that I decided to experiment implementing screens with, so I still have some leftover knowledge I could share:3

As always, can't wait to see what you make next!

You've come far lil beastman:3 congrats on 1k downloads, you deserve it!<3

A bit sad we won't see cedrick and lixue this year, but excited with what you have in store this year regardless!!<3

I love that idea! I think I speak for everyone when I say we like extra content of games and characters like more lore or just little tidbits of information about characters:3

They could just be little fun facts in post format, or perhaps dlc or bonus content you can unlock after you complete an ending!

The game I'm working on currently will have bonus scenes that show how the characters live together in their daily life after the main storyline is completed. There're lots of ways people integrate extra stuff that doesn't fit with the main story!

One of the very first things that attracted me to play the game was because it's a furry game ^^"

Before this I was just doomscrolling on itch for recent visual novels to play and seeing yours intrigued me. And there was a cute protogen, so of course I had to play it!

There were definitely stuff that could be improved on, but the overall experience for me was enjoyable and there were some cute moments!

I had no idea you composed these, they sound amazing! I really liked the melodies in each track! If you don't mind me asking, what program did you use?

12/10 Fluffy fox boi<3

Both of them are silly and cute together, and I really love how you drew Hugh! He looks so huggablee

The story had me smiling all the way through<3 I'd love to see what you do next!

It's really exciting to see what you have prepared for the next few months!!

I can't believe it's already going to be a year since I first discovered you and your creations! Feels like time flies by so fast..

Nanoreno has been something I've been thinking about for some time now, way before I began making games, it just seemed too daunting of a project. It'll be nice to participate in Nanoreno with a fellow game dev if I do join!

I can't wait to play what you have planned for Februbrureuary!<3

It sounds like a neat idea! Demos serve as a proof of concept. And if they're planned well, it can get more people to be anticipated in the full game's release! You could also get feedback so the end product will be able to be more polished. I'm sure you already know all of this, so long story short, I'd be excited to play it!

Known Bugs:

when you try to go to the shrine at the mountain at noon or night, it will teleport you to the neighborhood so you can't access the shrine. I have no idea why it does that and what triggers it, so i can't fix the bug, please bear with it T T

This isn't so much a bug per se, but my testers made me realize that getting either character's romantic routes are kinda difficult. So just be sure to shower them with gifts before their second events!

Interesting game with a standard premise and cute art! Reminds me alot of little red riding hood, though i wouldn't be surprised if that was the inspiration for this

congrats!! you're growing quickly, i hope to see more from you!<3

I honestly really love games that are "not what it seems", Nox and the candyland in general feels bizarre and out of place, and the uh.. face Nox made at one point threw me off aha

Nox gives me Monika from ddlc vibes with how he broke the fourth wall and talked to me directly, and it's interesting that my stomachache conveniently goes away as soon as he went to find something to help with it.. Some lore, perhaps?

In general, i liked the game's weirdness and horror, and how you used persistent data so the game remembers the bad ending and doesnt let you play anymore, even after reinstalling it. (I think that's how you did it, im still learning so-)

I hope Nox will forgive me for saying i didnt love him back..

if you feel like your game is unpolished or isnt finished yet, its perfectly understandable to postpone projects so you can work on them more. Even large game companies delay release dates because of bugs or unfinished assets that were overlooked! Dont feel bad if you have to postpone because of unpolished aspects of your project, that just means your idea is great and still needs time to grow to its full potential!

And the Lil' Beastman Saga continues! Can't wait to see what you come up with!<3

yippee glad youre still working on it, looking forward to the next chapter:D

i hope you are doing okay these past months, and im excited on what you'll make next! Itll be cool to see the progress on your big project once you begin to work on it! ^^

tysm! im glad i could help you with your fear:D

its really interesting how saying certain things branches out to another option, its like im fleshing out my character as i go

ellis is too cute for his own good, what i would give just to hold him in my arms and make him feel safe TT

i love what you and your team have done with the little amount of time given for this jam! the music was enjoyable, and the art was really nice, it gives kind of an undertale vibe haha

i love the flashlight mechanic! seems well-put together, though one thing i had issue with was the character's movement being a bit too fast, so i ended up dying more than id like to admit-

poor ellis, he seems traumatized aha, i like it so far!

i mean theres an faq section that says switching between palettes is allowed, i think thats pretty self explanatory

with how ambiguous and unclear the rules are, there's really no way to tell if the rules dont allow brainstorming before the jam or they dont allow only the asset creation and coding of the game itself

considering they're different hex codes, then no they are not the same

its perfectly fine if youre not able to continue development! as i said, you dont need to suffer making the same thing!

i am really interested on your idea for a big project, might be kinda biased because im also making a pokemon game rn aha, but yeah, big projects are always really fun since you dont know what to expect, and it feels accomplishing when you do finish one. i'd love to see any other ideas you have for big projects!

If you want to reach a greater audience and find more people thatll be interested in what youre developing, then you should make a devlog, i wont say its a sure-fire way to get internet clout, but you could eventually build a loyal fanbase that would be waiting to see what you make next!

ill be here waiting for the day subarashi gets put on development again, and ill be here to see what you do next:) i hope what i've said could help you in one way or another!

where's our little catboy? i miss him:( i hope youre still thinking on/continuing making this story, i wanna know whatll happen next

pretty much everything Jango Mango said, it really depends what you want to do in the future, quality over quantity is nice, but if you like the approach of making quick games for stuff like gamejams, its fine! for me personally

i do fall in the same rut of working on a project too long that i eventually get more interesting ideas to work, so none of my projects actually get published. if it was up to me, i would do what i want while seeking others advice aswell, you wouldnt want to suffer making something that youre not happy about haha

still, if what gets you going is small bite-sized games, but you want to try making a bigger, more developed project, then go for it! my input may not be that good, but i hope it gives you some insight on what to do!

i like the progress so far! i dont think the textbox is much of a problem since itll probably be overshadowed by all the dialogue anyway, in my opinion it looks okay! i personally like the name, im all for puns and wordplay lol (and shohei looks reaally cute)

im sure youll be making quick and steady progress, im looking forward to the story!

i like the demo so far, interested to see you develop on this more and improve your renpy skills!

game good, furry bad /j 9/10

i really love the attention to detail this vn has, there're lots of interactions and easter eggs so each run is slightly different, it looks and feels like a well-constructed game, so i applaud

the characters seem fleshed out with their own personality and humor, and being kinda chaotic at times

a funny vn thats good to play with your friends to have a little laugh, or play alone if you dont have any friends thats fine too

jumpscare too scary 9/10

a neat bite-sized game, i liked trying to survive getting swallowed by the void goo, and the jump scare caught me so off guard lol

i like the bonus minigame after the bonus ending, felt like a jab to my heart though because i was still shaken up from the jumpscare earlier

im looking forward to see what you have planned for Gavril and your story!

devlogs could be nice! im also not the type to really read devlogs since i like to go into the game blindly, but i wouldnt mind general updates like how much progress youve made on the game, or teases to some features!
