this game could have twice as many levels and still feel short, which is a great achievement imho
great mechanics, smart little puzzles and really wonderful aesthetics.
amazing job you guys!
found this by accident, but honestly I had such a wonderful time! check it out if you'd like :)
(made it into three parts, I upload daily, so, more in the next few days)on a personal note, I've actually been working on a sports rpg of my own for a while now and this game really motivated me to keep working on it. This has the potential of a full (albite small) game release! you should consider making it into one :)
The mechanics are a blast, the idea is inventive and fun, the sprite work is really really good and the music works (though I would definitely invest in that department a bit more)
All in all this was a wonderful time with this game and I wholeheartedly recommend it and thank you hwilson for it.
Stay safe king <3
this is the first time i've ever seen this game but It feels like I've played it before. is that weird? Should I consult my cat?
but for reals though, this is amazing. This really is my first time playing and honestly I think I kinda fell in love dude. What an amazing thing you've made. definitely a fan of your work. I really don't have much words to describe how this art made me feel. love it, love you, thanks a bunch(also thanks for the opportunity to exploit your amazing art game for video views)
(also if you are a youtuber reading this comment and consider playing this on your channel some of the music, {battle theme specifically} is copyrighted so... yeah. talk over the battles if you can)
bravo.
An interesting concept. I loved the presentation, but felt like the main theme could have been presented better. plus, and that's just my own opinion so don't take it as criticism, I'm not a big fan of the message that there's no hope and we're doomed to repeat a pointless cycle. Each life is unique and has it's own purpose to discover, there is joy in that. We attain control when we let go of the need to control.
but that's not to say this wasn't fun! this was really interesting and I enjoyed it! so, good job there.
anyways, like every other person here, here's my video take on your game.
I think I got a high score, got 103 out of 30!
just kidding ;)
this was surprisingly challenging but so clever and engaging! really really liked the idea! took me three levels to realize I could stop drawing and continue the same line, and not have to do one straight line for each level, but maybe that's on my reading comprehension.
I really loved the idea! good job!
not my thread but might as well, I've learned godot with no prior knowledge just this past month and this is already my second game jam. Tried to learn unity a couple of times but found it too complex for my needs. In my opinion if you wanna make 2d games quickly and easily, godot is really awesome and intuitive!
this was cute, but in games requiring precise platforming not being able to move after jumping in place makes things really unnecessarily difficult. I had a hard time getting on platforms, let alone making jumps. I did really like the design and feel of the game, but it could really benefit from smoother controls.
