I have no clue how it happened, don't know what it was, but this adorable, beautiful little game actually brought tears to my eyes at the end. I only managed to get one flower but the dialogue the character made about how disappointed he was; emotionally connected me to him and made me empathize and care about what he cared about. But then at the end when she was happy to see him anyway, plus the "It was never really about the flowers", was so beautiful and tear-jerking.

In terms of actual game mechanics, I thought that the magic energy soul ball attack thingy was really freaking cool, the enemies were intimidating and difficult to kill, the fact that we had to protect a rose was really cool, and I loved the day to day system.

In terms of art, OHMYGODITWASGORGEOUS

Holy Crap! Thank you so much! I am so glad you were able to relate to the game and that the experience came through at its fullest for you! :D

Yeah, there was a lotta thought put into bringing the guy's insecurity about the situation to the table and I'm so glad to hear it paid off!

Again, thank you so much for your comment and for playing the game! :)

I can't read English, so I may not be understanding the story correctly, but I really like the situation where i have to take a stand and protect the flowers.

But the game was difficult and I could only save one flower. The main character is more fragile than the flower, so there were moments when it became unclear whether he was protecting the flower or simply running away from the monster, and that was disappointing.

I ran into the bedroom and tried to pray that the flower would not die, but the monster entered the bedroom. It's terrifying and poetic.

I also liked how the music changed when the flowers started to bloom.

Thank you so much for your insight! :D

I think I see the game in a completely new light now thanks to your insight and am excited to see if I can use those to take this concept farther.

The story is basically about a boy getting anxious about getting enough flowers to give to a girl. (I'm assuming you used google translate to form this comment so I'm guessing you'll do the same should you want to read this again, haha.)

..and again, thank you so much for taking the time to play and comment. :)

Thank you so much! :D

The gameplay is pretty repetitive, especially when you figure out how the enemies work. But, it's not really about the gameplay, it's about the atmosphere. An excellent game!

Oh and my suggestion: do something about the sound when all enemies despawn, it's kinda loud.

Hi, thank you so much for playing and your comment! :D I'm glad you like the game.

..and yeah. I'll work on fixing the sound immediately. :)

you know what, i really like the game by this unique drawing style. i like the artistic way of making the levels. excellent work ,and yes you get some little weird controls  but it's easy to fix.

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much! :D

So glad to hear you like the game! I'm hoping I can patch things up to make the controls a little more tolerable. Thanks again. :)

This is a hard one to rate, I can see what you tried and the ending is cute, but the gameplay is frustrating. Half of my spacebar hits didn't register, sometimes the flower seemed to receive random damage and being arbitrarily pushed around made it even harder to keep it safe. I think the game wants to be hard and not be possible to finish, but I would have prefered if it wasnt because of what seems like buggy gameplay.

The visuals on the other hand are a success in my opinion! Especially the attack animation is great and quite humorous.

Developer

Yeah, it's true. Had to wrap things up in a rush so combat's half-baked rendering it more of an unfair gauntlet than the intended challenge. Sorry about that.

I'm glad the intended goal came through and that you liked the art! Thanks for playing. :D

+Cool graphic style
+Game have some story

~Limitation saved: abstract place, not the planet
~No sounds

-Someplace graphic looks weird
-Player slides strangely (hard to stop)
-I can't open the main door up (I try a lot) :(

Developer

Hey, thanks for playing and your comments! :D

Yeah, the door and weird graphics(I think) are bugs that I've just fixed. The door opens up from day 0 though you have to struggle a little to open it.

Submission was rushed as evidenced by the lack of sound so I aplogise for that, haha.

But again, thanks a bunch! :)
