I really like the art style and the animation you made for the opening. I thought the game was really spooky and creepy and I liked the vibe you went for. Unfortunately I had a lot of trouble with the controls, so I couldn't make it past the first room. I think if the controls were made a little easier to use I'd really enjoy to be able to see more of the game!

Thank you for playing!

I loved the sound effects, it made me smile while playing lol. The idea for this was really unique, I liked zapping the enemy spirits with the light beam. I really like the music you made too, it gave a cool vibe to the game. Great work! :^)

Your art is so pretty, I loved seeing the different assets while I played! I think the gameplay needs a little more work, the controls were a bit slippery and I wasn't sure what to do when the enemy appeared like the other reviewer said. An instruction screen or something before loading into the game could help clarify to the player what they should do. I think there's a lot of potential here and you could work on it more post-jam if you wanted and have a solid little game to show off. :^)

This was really unique for a jam game! I have been replaying Undertale so it was cool to see something similar here. I really liked your art! I liked seeing all the hand-drawn assets. The different attacks for each enemy was cool and I liked the unique battle effects you made for each one. The flashing background was a little uncomfortable for my eyes, something moving slower or a static image might've been easier on the eyes. Overall though, I think you did a great job! Keep up the great work. :^)

I'm not sure, I definitely see why you chose what you chose since they're all quick to press. As for alternative ideas, I guess maybe you could have one attack input like left mouse click, then you could toggle attack types with another key (right click, left/right arrows, scroll mouse wheel) to choose the color. Another idea could be selecting the type of attack directly with maybe the number keys (1, 2, 3) then click to cast the selected color spell.

I recommend making a general list at the start of what assets you're going to need for the jam, then create placeholders that the programmers can use to get started with. For my own projects, I like to start with things like floor tiles, basic obstacles, and a character image so programmers can get a sense of scale for the map. Sometimes I don't end up with a lot of time left for animating, so I either have to skip animating certain things or throw something together without worrying too much about perfecting it. It's definitely one of the hardest things for me with game art in jams, I feel like I can throw code together a lot faster than good-looking art assets. You did a great job on the art, things will get easier with time and practice!

Staying in scope and estimating how long tasks will take is one of the hardest things in software development. Y'all are doing great, keep up the good work! :^)

This was interesting, I couldn't read the note like another reviewer said because when I pressed E, the note wouldn't stay on the screen. I did get really scared by the big orange "eye" that kept popping up lol. I wish I had understood what the objective was a little more (this might've been in the note I couldn't read), since I was just wandering around at the end and couldn't find the win condition. The camera movement did give me a little motion sickness, I think a static camera or a less "floaty" camera would feel better. I did like the black and white color scheme to emphasize the light vs the darkness, it had a cool look. Great job!

This was really interesting! I liked the feel of casting spells at the enemies, it was fun to walk around and explore the level. I was disappointed that there wasn't a way to pick up the armor that was on the floor in one of the rooms on the right, I tried all the keys lol. The screen shake effects were a little intense for me though, I felt a little motion sick and it would be nice to have an option to tone that down should you keep working on it. Great job, I think you could definitely work on this project further and make a cool little game out of it! :^)

This was really cool, I especially liked the music and art! All the characters had fun designs and I liked shooting light spells at the enemies, it was really satisfying. I did get kind of confused by the amount of controls, and wished I could've popped the controls screen back up. I tried looking for it in the pause menu because I forgot how to light the lanterns up lol.

Also, I noticed that the main character will visually walk "on" the lantern poles, when I think he's meant to walk behind them instead. You can set this by using y-sort in Godot and setting the "position" point of the item and character sprites near the "ground" for them. Hopefully that helps, great job!

I like the graphics a lot, the little mushroom enemies were really cute! I also liked the little dungeon room and the lighting you used. The controls with blue being Spacebar did confuse me a little since I wanted to click out of reflex on the enemies, but I was able to play for a while before I died to a bunch of mushrooms backing me into a corner lol. Great job!

It was a little hard to read some of the text because it was the same color as some of the backgrounds, so it blended together. It was fun running around though and I really liked the music. :^)

Really unique idea, I paid off my debt at 68.55! The frog was really cute. I had trouble reading the symbol boxes and kind of understanding what I had to do. It took me dying on my first try to figure the controls out lol. I think a small tutorial page before the game would help and maybe making sure there's more contrast between the color boxes because I had to squint to read the symbols. Great work :^)

I had some trouble with the combat, I'm not sure where the enemies' hit boxes were so i kept spamming click but they were too strong lol. I think your art and concept are really cute though! I liked it, I wish I hadn't had so much trouble with the combat to have been able to play more. :^) Great work!

I liked the chimes when you inputted glyphs and the art a lot, it was very cute. Sometimes it was a little hard to read the glyphs if the enemies got really close together, but I think it was a fun take on the limitation. :^)

movement is WASD or arrow keys!

Very cute game! I liked your music and sound effects, they were funny and made me smile while I was playing. The controls felt good and it was an interesting take on platforming, great job!

This was so fun and addicting for me I played it for like 20 minutes lol. I would love to see you update this and add more to it! I think it would be great with more visuals and maybe more simulation features for working with your group and planning shows. Super fun game, great work!

It had a really cute concept and I loved seeing all the cute kitty cats. That Nintendo Switch in the corner is huge, haha! I had a hard time finding anything that could escape the orange and white kitty cats, but maybe my strategy just wasn't very good. I think with some more play-testing the game could be really good!

A very fun idea, I liked that you used voice over for the character it definitely added a lot to the game. All the graphics were really nice, I liked seeing the golfers at the edge of the map and I was jamming out the music lol. Great work!

It's tough out here being a fish! I really loved the graphics and sound design, so chill. The fish's design is so cute, I love that you added the little muscle arm on him. He is truly not playing around! I was pretty bad at timing the pulls within the meter, I really wanted to spam spacebar to build up power instead of waiting to pull on the line. You did a great job, keep up the good work!

This was so creative and funny. It was definitely glitchy with all the moving parts, but I liked the concept behind it so much haha. I was laughing the whole time while playing. I personally picked Hourse the cat and he might not have won but he was the winner in my heart!! I think if you could get the glitchiness worked out on moving the finish line you could definitely work on this project post-jam and have a cute little game to show off! Great work!

The concept was a bit confusing, but I liked the art and the side-scrolling gameplay parts! I think it would be good to have less introduction since it was longer than the actual gameplay parts, but your animations and art were super cute! I also had an issue with the game not displaying correctly unless I full-screened the game in my browser, but other than that I didn't have any technical issues. Keep up the good work!

This is such a cool game, I don't think I've ever played one like this before. The graphics for the grass and the sword were so pretty and well done! I wish that there was more detailing to the level, like dirt for the path for the flowers to grow from. Once I got a hold of the controls it was kind of mesmerizing to toss the sword and attack to make more plants haha. I would have loved to see the plants grow out more with time as you progressed through the level. I think there's definitely lots of room to develop this idea more and would love to see updates! Great work from both of y'all!

This was a really cute game and the controls felt really nice! I think the graphics are great considering you did the designing and art both in such a short time! I think the audio needed a little mixing because the gunshots were a bit loud mixed with the music for my speakers. I think turning the music audio down in-engine and doing some pitch alterations on the gunshot sound effect (e.g. one gunshot is normal volume, the next is a bit quieter, the next normal, etc.) could help with this. I think you did great, keep up the good work!

This is such a cool game! I think y'all did a great job with the art and sound design and the controls with the Ouija board are so cool! I wish the demon hand wasn't so hard because even though I tried like 7 times I couldn't get far in the game because I kept losing the planchette and couldn't get it back. :^( I think this could definitely be made into a full game post-jam, and would love to see some updates so I can see the end!

Yeehaw! This was so fun and I'm impressed at how good your visuals were for a weekend jam. I wish I could've restarted at the last opponent I was on since I got to the second guy then had to restart all over after losing. This is a terrific game and I think y'all could definitely flesh this out more post-jam!

I love a good rat-based game! The concept is really funny and I liked the art and sound design, but I had some trouble playing it. Eventually the cheese ran off the platform and my rats and the cheese were at war in the void lol. I think the concept is good and could be expanded on post-jam for a great rat game!

I'm not sure exactly where the theme was implemented here, but the game concept is really cute! I think it would have felt better with some small sound effects and some music, but the graphics looked cool and I liked the matrix-style background! The idea of the firewall being real "fire" was pretty fun, but I had some issues with finding the coal at first since it blended in with your background.

I feel like I'm ready to be a supervillain now, haha! I liked the mini-games but I felt like some went on too long. It would have been nice to maybe have them repeat randomly but last for  shorter duration, similar to WarioWare. I think you could definitely add more to this project post-jam and maybe add some traditional RPG gameplay in between the mini-games, it would be really cool to see more!
