Description
Was very excited for the jam and I had a blast making these songs, though I wanted to make 6/7 songs for this, with my time I only managed to make 4. Still had a lot of fun

In order

1. Dylidae: Is (supposed to be) the introduction song for the imaginary video game.

2. Alces: I didn't really think of anything specifically when making this song so... yeah. Would be interesting if any of you would tell me what it sounds like to you.

3. Caluar: same as Alces

4. Aves: is the last song and I thought of it as the credits, staff roll type of song, I borrowed my brother's electric guitar for this one hehe

The names don't really mean anything it's just that someone suggested I name the songs after animal species names since I was having a LOTTA trouble trying to come up with names.

I used my beloved Cakewalk for this. Shoutouts to Surge XT one of the best plugins ever.

Message from the artist:
Hi everyone thank you for listening! If you have any feedback or anything please let me know I would appreciate it.

Theme:

Wish upon a star

How does it fit the theme?
I tried to make it fit a little with some chromatic, bell-like instruments and synths that I just felt sounded... like a star.

These tracks are a BOP
Great work on these!! I love it, so much character and a very specific sound to a game idea. I love your direction and composing style
Wonderful work!!

Very catchy tunes and a very fun, happy vibe! I really enjoyed it, great job!

That was great! You have a strong sense on how to make good chord modulation flow seamlessly which makes your music super dynamic. Also really great job on the percussion! I love that twist you gave to rock/funk music using it in this context. All in all this was super fun to listen to!

Dylidae: This a fun song with the celebratory-sounding chords and the upbeat drums. I really like the walking bassline you use and the delayed and reverberated synths that sound like stars. The rock beat with the syncopated 7th chords in the synth makes this sound like it could be the main theme to something like a racing game.

Alces: This track, to me, sounds like a fun tropical theme for a racing stage. The offbeat synth chords panned to the left is what makes me imagine tropical the most I think. I would really enjoy playing any sort of action game to this theme though!

Caluar: This theme reminds me less of a racing game and more of a platformer level, like from a Kirby game. The star-like bells are more readily apparent in this track and I think it would fit a night sky themed level well.

Aves: The electric guitar feels really nice with the rock genre you’ve been using so far. My favorite part is the solo section that comes in a 0:53. I like that you have varied energy-levels in this track which make it feel much more like a concluding song. These were really fun songs to listen to, though I think it would have been nice to hear a stronger connection to the theme. Great job nonetheless and thank you for sharing!

Wow, thank you, it feels nice knowing that someone noticed those little details I added in. Thank you for your sincerity on the connection to the theme part as well, I do feel like I need to improve on that.

Amazing sound overall! The mixing is so good :) and those bass lines <3

This could fit well in a fast paced game, the funky synths and rythmics gives a very positive energy, it would be very fun to play along!

I really loved that guitar work/sound in the last song! Difficult to find a favorite! Very good job with this ost :)

I love the baseline in Alces, the whole soundtrack grooves. Great job!

Super cool how every track is unique and fits together. Personal favorite is Aves.

This is great!  You could totally write a banger ace attorney soundtrack lol.  Super groovy sounding stuff, I'm a big fan.

Developer(+1)

That's awesome, ace attorney ost is some of the best music I've ever heard in a video game, so reading this makes me very happy as you could imagine. Thank you for this!

The Intro is a really nice subito segue into the main subject.

The 60 second mark of Alces is the most Gen IV sounding thing I've heard in a long time. Not a bad Gen to sound like, if you ask me!

Caluar & Aves feel a little bit less fleshed out than Dylidae and Alces, but this is a detailed, clean, and stylistically consistent collection of material you've put out in such little time! Excellent work.

Thank you, I feel honored to be compared to Pokemon music, and gen 4 on top of that! I also appreciate your feedback on the last two songs compared to the first ones, I think that as well. Also I had checked out your song yesterday, very dope guitar riff and even cooler drums, felt good to see someone else inspired by rock music.

Great vibes! Love how suddenly the bass came in in the first track. Nice, upbeat track. Really love that part near the middle of the second track. Another cheery track and my favorite of them all! To answer your question, it gives me a sort of upbeat town theme feel, perhaps a more advanced city or one that's in space. Caluar is a dope track, gives me some sort of overworld theme feel, maybe something to do with snow or crystals. Aves is a very satisfying credits theme. Great work!

Such cool beats! I love how motivating these tracks are. I could see these in some sort of runner or racing game.

Loved the sounds you used! Great job with all your tracks, they were fun to listen to! My favorite is probably Caluar, but I really enjoyed the use of the electric guitar in Aves as well!
