Description
This game is a story driven game that you can play on two different perspectives !
You'll be a soul growing as a bubble. And you'll experience the same story twice.
In your inside "bubble" world, and then on the outside !
This is just the concept haha ^^

Hope you enjoy !
Theme
How does it fit the theme?
Theses themes inspired the concept I explained earlier.
The two sided story and the narrative came after starting composing.

WOWOWOWOWOWOW you've got such a unique style im jealous..
The strings buildup in O Universe / The Unibirth was an epic moment! I LOVE how it transitions to the vocals. and the textures.. so good.
Brilliant work :D
WHOA WHOA DUE TOMMY HOMIE TOM TOMMI...
Cool OST! There is a lot of dreaminess and magic here... Heh)
Beautiful sound design and the mixing is so good. The theme is perfectly conveyed. I really liked your work and the beautiful aesthetic you achieved.
Loved the tension and the progression (and mental tongue twister, for me at least) of "One Once One." This was definitely my favorite track and felt like an appropriate climax for the album as a whole.
Overall, great album that was very pleasant to experience, and I love that you left a lot open to interpretation in giving the listener two story points for each track. Awesome job!
Really cool concept for a game, and also the SOUND DESIGN. WHOA. Your creativity is just top notch. It perfectly portrays the unique bubbly world you described. The orchestra being mostly in the background give a nice gentle cushion for the cool sounds layered on top. Love it!!
Thank you very much! I had fun mixing orchestra and floaty synths all around :)
One of the few soundtracks of the jam that I heard with vocal harmonization and they were SO BEAUTIFUL!!
How have you managed to create the bell sounds at the beginning of Out of Curiosity / Reflections??
I loved your work, I will return to it later.
Thank you very much! For the vocal part it was my first attempt so I really appreciate :)
For the bells well, (if you talk about the ascending arrpegio) from memory I kept the sound of the Wurlie piano (a bit percussive) that keeps repeating a motif all along the track. And added bells/kalimba/piano sound mixed low behind. Reverb and some light eq/disto/chorus effects might have been involved :)
Thank you very much :)
Dang this sounds really good! Love how you made use of space and dynamics. Also, changing the cover for each song is a nice touch.
Thank you very much :) I tested some IA image generator and felt like different covers could fit the mood of each song and convey something different for each one :)
One Once One / Burst Into Worlds felt magical! The music box and synths made it feel like I was in a wizards tower it was super cool!
Thanks! Definitely had fun doing this one :D
I love your composition style, the way the synths and sample instruments work together is super cool! The sound design in that first track is rad, and the rising bell arpeggios in Out of Curiosity / Reflections remind me a little bit of The Gate by Bjork (pretty different genre tho) I really love the texture they add.
Really beautiful composition all around, I'm really jealous of the chords and key writing haha
Great work!
Haha thank you so much! I listenend to The Gate and wow, such a trip :0
Very nice to know what you liked the most! And I guess I can feel happy if you got inspired by the writing, means a lot coming from you. (I actually tried to follow and play a bit of your Mourning Sun song on guitar, love some unexpected mouvements :D)
Oh wow how far did you get with the guitar? That was a really fun part to write, the chords are pretty simple but the arpeggiating is where it's more difficult
Yeah I really liked the idea of a bubble universe and souls that exist outside the bubble, it's cool!
I think I got the main part right, I went until 1.40 then the synth took too much for me to focus haha ^^ The chords might seem simple to you but I find this progression very interesting. I might get advanturous on key writing on the keyboard but I struggle to do so on the guitar so that is fun to learn :D
And the pacing of the arpeggiating is so moving, the debut of main motif at 0.28 to 0.31 for example (the B going to G through F/D?) is a great motion. With that G going to A minor 👌 The pause and then doubling the arpeggios makes a cool cadence. I don't know, these chords felt non-intuituve to me at first and I wondered how you proceeded :)
I'm really stupid with guitar/music theory so I don't know the exact names of the chords I was playing so I made a quick mock up of the tabs and basic chord shapes (there's some movement in the chords). I hope this helps? It should be mostly correct but there is a chance that there's an error since it's pretty rough. The intro and first half of the main part is relatively easy since the chord shapes allow you to keep your fingers in roughly the same spot, but the second half in the main part that moves to C is always tripped me up. I'm really glad you like the progression! It was fun to write. I hope the tabs make some sense!
Intro is on top, main part is on the bottom:
(an error I just noticed is that the 4-tuplet in the main part is actually an 8-tuplet or 9-tuplet... honestly I don't really know what's going on there it's just faster)Oh thanks for the tab! From what I see I was quite good :) I am pretty bad at naming chords too ^^
It makes me want to do something with a piece of guitar work I have, and develop it as inspired from this maybe?
I might try to write a tab for it and share it with you. It would be fun to see what violins and synths movements you would add on top ! One day maybe if you feel like testing it :)
No problem! Yeah I’d love to see/hear what you come up with, definitely send it if you do work on it!
Reaaally good work! Loved how you implemented the bubbles in the first track! Every track succeed in telling us a part of the story and it works really well. Also, having 2 interpretations for each music is a good idea!
Particularly liked the orchestration in "one once one"!
Well done!
Thank you very much ! I had fun doing it ! :)
1) Everything sounds really good. Love the many bubbles, especially the bubbles at ±1:25 that seem to follow the rhythm. That change in speed at 1:40 was wacky but fun.
2) I am never able to make repetitive background not annoy me. You seem to have put enough interesting sounds on top of it to make it work :D. Sounds very mystique, I like it.
3) I like the change at ±1:45 from one theme to another. Though they are quite different, they match nicely. 'Burst into Worlds' sounds really good.
4) I love Odd Ode! A really cute song.
I would say that your mixing and quality is really good. From the first song I ever heard from you, I knew you were very skilled. Keep up the good work :)
Thanks Nick! Thank you for taking the time to comment! :D
Wow. This is definitely my favourite entry. The sound design and composion is really impressive. First track is easily the best one for me. Great work
Also the piano in the ending is absolutely beautiful
Thank you it goes right to my heart!
The sound design and atmosphere in the first track is nuts! I love how you incorporated some of the percussive motifs in the bubble parts, that was a really cool touch! Beautiful bubbly compositions throughout! Huge fan of all the sounds you're using whether it's orchestral, SFX or synths! Amazing vocal work too!
Thanks for the attention to details ! :)
This is nothing short of a little masterpiece. I really don't have much to say because it's all basically perfect. The space-like synths blending with the bubbly sounds particularly hit a soft spot for me!
Thank you very much!
This type of music is what I live for. So much passion and great composing went into this I can tell. This is straight up magnificent front to back. The textures you used to breath life into each piece was incredible. Some of the watery/bubbly sound effects used perfectly communicate the theme within the first song. And the piano performances were just so beautifully elegant.
Overall, this was a MAGNIFICENT entry. Take my full 5 stars and keep it up!
Woah thank you so much :0 ! I also really appreciate your words <3 And I'm very happy if you found something valuable about my music :)
I guess that's why we do this in the first place, to touch and connect with something inside :)
This sound track is just beautiful! The idea of two perspectives was executed incredibly well through the music, as well as being one of the most creative interpretations to the theme so far! The songs have such a mystery and wonder to them, and it really feels like you are “inside the world”(haha). Overall, one of the best for theme and music in the competition! Great job!
Thank you, I really appreciate this! :)
Your submission sounds so magical! I loved the use of the bubbly/water sounds throughout. It really fits well with game that you presented for the theme. Really great work :D
Very ambient! Great composition and quality throughout. I really like Reflections
So cute bubbles! Lovely unexpected vocals, cool harp/kalimba/music box blend, textures and ambient are great, all in its place. Great sounding mixes. Beautiful work!
Thank you
MASTER%€#@^*O Universe/The Unibirth: The bubble SFX and instrumentation sells this perfectly for me on the theme. Cool vocals and the rhythm towards the end.
Out of Curiosity/Reflections: Vibes. Brilliant panned SFX.
One Once One/Burst Into Worlds: Loving the progression. Lovely instrumentation!
Odd Ode/Lonelibless: Ooh that piano. A sprinkle of Lydian here. Such a satisfying conclusion to the OST!
Great work!
Thank you very much for listening and telling me what you liked! :)
