I have done a game jam before as the artist, making pixel art but I can work with other styles. I also did some goofy sound effects and voice acting for said jam in a game called "Frimbly and the Cave of Wonders". Not a professional but want to get better!

Never have I felt so confused but so entranced at the same time. Even though you are given such limited information it is a very unique and satisfying task to try and figure out every little detail between the book and the questions asked. using nothing but your obscure hints. The presentation is so good I'm amazed this was done during the jam period and not over at least a few weeks. Excellent work.
Interesting concept, I like the sound effects and music plus just the general presentation. I think the controls need to be spelled out clearer though and I would of liked to see Mastran take more hits so you could see multiple phases in one battle. I do like the character and hope to see him return in a different form post jam.
Very simple little game but I still had a pretty fun time. It's nice seeing the enemies use a large variety of different bullet patterns as well as a large variety of gun types. Getting the flame thrower was pretty sick. I think people have already mentioned it before but my biggest complaint was the lack of ammo for certain guns. Otherwise pretty decent little game.
A really interesting take on the bullet hell genre. The file being slightly delayed by your movement actually felt really unique rather than frustrating, and that's probably also because the presentation is so good. I also liked the idea of the dice being rigged so the luck has to be filled up. Would love to see this continue in the future, really cool and fun stuff.
The sound effects were basically done in around 5 minutes. Max was like, we need sound effects right now so I just pulled up a microphone and started using the first takes lol. I highly doubt we would ever use them in a full version, or at least tone them down a lot. Thanks for playing though, glad you enjoyed it.
A game with a hell of a lot of charm and great animation but this gameplay loop doesn't feel like a game in any capacity. Losing to a completely luck-based system and having to replay everything again is really not fun. A lot of potential here in the visuals and idea but this needs a real gameplay concept to get it off of it's feet.
There is so much to love about this game, but I'll start by saying I adore the sound design, from the cute squeeze toy sounds to the violent over the top dice effects, really solid stuff. The game controls really smoothly too, great touch making the screens wrap around so you don't constantly lose the dice. I think the only real nitpick I have is the dice throwing can be a little dodgy, I never really know where it will end up because of the bouncy physics. Other than that, this is great.
This game had an excellent presentation with a nice screenline aesthetic. The music did its job and fit the tone. It was fun to play one time but I think my main gripe is maybe it was a bit too luck-based? By the last battle it just felt like all I could do was wait for something good to roll instead of actually strategizing. Overall though, cool little game with great quality.
We immensely appreciate the feedback. In hindsight it is weird we didnt add that as a feature but in the moment I think we didn't want the player to immediately restart the stage just because they didn't like their outcome. The main core of the game is to make something that can work for you personally using the rng elements given. If we do continue this as a bigger project, it will definitely be something we consider for difficulty balancing and fairness but probably not in the form of a traditional restart button. Again though, thanks for playing!!
