So,. I could talk for hours on setup and gear, I work as a sound engineer.

I would say.. and not everyone might agree with this.. but if you want to learn to mix.. its far more important to learn how things sound on your setup. An approach to perfect neutral audio is a long and complicated journey. You're headphone are a good set of headphones.. I would go for studio monitors next. And mostly.. listen, listen, listen. Get to know your favorite songs really well and use them as reference.

There's not really rights or wrongs, experience is important in this.. to know your ears and the system and goal your working with. Offcourse neutral is good.. but you can train your ears to make decisions when mixing without a perfectly neutral setup.

Learn how the digital instruments you use, would sound accoustically as a real instruments and where they fit wel inside the mix. Technique and tricks can be learned, but experience and workflow in how you approach the topic is what I've always found more important

All ears are different and mixengineers always make different decision on their opinion or the artists they are working with. So there's no right or wrong. Criticism is constructive and an opinion of where I, or someone else would make a different decision. (I also am never happy with my entries and keep hearing things I'd like to change!)

If you need help or struggle with a certain feel free to ask for help or insight from different composers or engineers!

Sorry for the long reply, but I hope that that helps, feel free to hit me up if you struggle with some technical aspects 😉

Sure, i use a focusrite 8i6 with Adam t5v monitors. Sample rate is 96kHz. Also i listened on my akg k702 openback headphones. My setup does lack a bit below 50 Hz, saving up for a fitting sub ;)

Overal the track sounds great, definitely gives a adventure vibe, but still keeping a more relaxed mood with it.
Eventhough, as it was mentioned before, it does stray far from the theme, but the melodic percussion and most of the sounds you have used,  do relate back to that for me.

Lastly, (i'm not quite sure if I'm using the right words here) The instruments themselves and track overal is in terms balanced well mixed, however, I miss a bit of definition or difference in the stereo field. I think there is some more adventure to be gained in that aspect.

But overall well done! Solid piece!

I love the silly take with the vocals with the KK Slider inspiration. It works so well and great composition behind it.

I think however I terms of mixing, I would've approuched the vocals more as an instrument then actual vocals, they're a bit to loud and constant, I think they could've pushed more into the track so it would come together a bit more.

But great original take on it and definitely enjoyed it!

Great arrangement! The smooth jazz comes out perfectly. Absolutely fit for the theme going for.
The brass sound and build up feels a bit much, and  feels a bit clashing with the theme, but besides that a great listen and good sound.

It's also mixed well, i really like how the bass lays in the mix, smooth and clear

Great track, good vibe. I think it does capture the game really wel. The choice of instruments are good and wel composed. I love how you the focus of the instruments flow in terms of focus in the writing.

I do think the mix and sound of the instruments feel a bit aggresive especially in the higher parts of the spectrum/instruments. Which givese it a bit of a busy feel, instead of a more relaxed vibe. Everything feels a bit to much in the front of the speakers.

First off I genuinely laughed out loud at the turn around in Owl encounter! Fantastic! Also really liked what you did building up to that. Great soundtrack! Machine monster has a great vibe! Really like the sound pallete you used there. Overal very nice compositions.

For constructive feedback, i would say the piano in by the window could have been a little bit tighter in terms of the mix. The lows feel a bit to warm/muddy and present/static. Also it feels like theres almost to much sustain pedal on there.  I think overal in terms of mixing it could do with a bit more expression in automation. Then again I don't really miss that in the other 2 tracks. I hope that that helps.

I've really enjoyed listening to it.

Fantastic work, a lot of tracks in such a short time, it's almost unbelievable how diverse and yet consistent the tracks are in such a short time. The mixing feels on point and the esthetic and ambience are very well done. The build up and sound fx are very well fitted throughout the tracks and the whole listen is very consistent! You definitely hit the atmosphere you were going for.

If I were to give some constructive feedback, which is very subjective to my ears, I would say that you have so many good build ups and fx, so it leaves me a bit wanting for dynamics in rythm especially, or a couple of drum fills just to emphasize the adrenaline rush.

Personally I liked full metal temple the best! Keep it up!

I had fun writing this aswell. I'm happy that you had fun listening to it!
Thank you!

Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!

Thank you for the feedback. Its my first jam and first time writing in this style. So the feedback definitely helps. I do recognize the points you make. In terms of the drums there's already pretty heavy compression on them, but especially the toms, snare and kick could be more in your face. I have some ideas on how to fix that, so will try that out to see if i can improve it.
I'll keep this in mind for my future writing!
