Track description | Creative process
This time I didn't wanted to stay close to the original soundtrack.
Actually I am more of a KK slider fan, I could easily envision a whole soundtrack of silly songs for an Animal Crossing game.
My leading idea for the track was a song that plays when you drink cocktails on a deck chair.
Instead of following the hourly system from the original game, instead the OST would be a playlist in random of ordere filled with song like this one.

I wanted to vocode the whole vocals but I remembered a bit too late and didn't knew enought about it to do it quickly.

VST :
- Swam 2 for double bass (kinda sucks)
- Swam 2 for picollo (kinda okay)
- Adam Marimba from pianobook
- Addictive drums 2
- Ample guitar luthier
- My own voice badly recorded and badly mixed.

Boss level. Oh my, that brass at the end was epic. The buildup, the leading voice, the tangerine daiquiri... Take my stars, Mr. Tanuki.

Like others have mentioned, the vocals are a bit too loud but super cool. Probably the most suprising, but fun track of the jam 😂.

I love the silly take with the vocals with the KK Slider inspiration. It works so well and great composition behind it.

I think however I terms of mixing, I would've approuched the vocals more as an instrument then actual vocals, they're a bit to loud and constant, I think they could've pushed more into the track so it would come together a bit more.

But great original take on it and definitely enjoyed it!

So happy someone went for the vocals too!  Love it

For someone who hasn't played AC I think you studied the AC OST chords well. Vocals  surprised me. they are just a bit loud.

This was fun! And an original take for sure! The last part with all the voices was the best! With more dedication on the mix and better VSTs this could have been more enjoyable.

The vocals gave me such a fright at first! But I also think they gave the piece a uniqueness that I really enjoyed. A fun and upbeat beachy vibe, great work!

Nice, you had me surprised when the vocals come in. I feel like they are (way) too loud compared to the rest of the track though, and it basically hides the rest of the mix when they're present. Which is sad because your arrangement and mix is pretty balanced and solid ! The chord progression and instrumentation is interesting and really suits the theme well. But somehow the vocals just throw it off. But it's still a very nice entry, congrats !

Coming in I didn't expect those vocals haha ! Great instrumentation and composition with great ideas ! Some tweaking needed on the mixing part (welcome to the club my man haha !)

I LOVE the chord choices, especially between 0.56 and 1.17! The vocals are a quirky idea haha I can hear this track being perfect without the vocals, as they are a little up front in the mix and they sit 'on top' quite a bit: a more subtle reverb and a lower level might set the vocals into the track better. Still love this track though and your chord and instrumentation choice is fantastic!

Yeah I am so bad at mixing and never had to deal with vocal, plus I was in a rush to post it...once the jam is over I will use this track to learn some mixing and mastering stuff.

Yea those sounds sent me cackling lmaooo, 1:48 is simply perfection.

I'm really impressed by the orchestration chops and how you fit to the genre. Lovely tropical ideas you had, the Mariachi-like approach towards the end feels really authentic. I'd really like to hear the whole soundtrack you'd have in mind for this, many cool ideas! And even with the silly sounds (which I think fit the concept), the midi sounds conventionally well written to me

Super Fun and Very good composition! Great favourite. Bravo

Really professionally put together which is no surprise!  The vocals being distinct but not really meant to be intelligible reminded me (don't ask me how) of when in a Peanuts cartoon the teacher would vaguely be offscreen up front and talking but it's not intended to be able to tell what she's saying.  The flute music in the middle helped split up the piece into distinct sections each with their own personality.  Altogether outstanding work.

THE VOCALS. I admire the dedication to imitate a kk slider sound, and honestly I think it adds to the vibes of this track. This is really fun and catchy, I love it!!

This is a very fun and creative track, I was very surprised that you sang it Even if the mixing is not the best, I had fun listening to it.
