amazing work thanks dude!

The Music and nuke effect really gave the whole game a punch! loved playing it.

The Game Concept, Composition & Music was really good!

Great Man! Unfortunately Flameborne project was shut after the JAM because of the bandwidth issue, I might working on something new from my end you can check it on twitter @slydeets

Really Liked the concept & Sound.

My review points:
The upper platform and below platforms are fundamentally different so I guess they should have some kind of contrast through color or design as they act as a safe area. Frogs looked good but they lack mechanics like jumping a little also I think their art style is like a top-down game compared to the player.

the game platform mechanics were good, little SFX would have been great,

all enemy had some kind of death animation that was great!

I really liked falling down and discovering new place.

Suggestion: Player Idle animation was too fast, if compared to run animation

Yeah, with gamepad it would have less frustrating dying again & again

The game mechanics & art style was very great!

It was a little hard tough

gamepad support should have been nice as these kinds of fast paced platformers feel a little easy with it

As everyone mentioned jump was a frustrating little thing.

Overall game was cool & totally a Metroidvania fit category game

  • Yes, we are making those statues as a checkpoint in our next update,
  • About the flame thing, as player is undead. that's why he is blue. because in most of the world blue flame denote souls and dead.
  • That soul is also a currency in the game. So, all enemy drop them as a currency.
  • We have looked in the player and weapon hitbox and will give proper fix to this in the next update.
  • The flames reappear when you switch room, well that's a bug left from our side. will be fixed in the next update 

Really Enjoyed Playing it

Saddly was not able to defeat the boss. as the loading time was too much after I get killed by boss

One Suggestion: Make Player and enemy sprite tone a little lighter as it was not really visible well that gave the game very odd look. like what's in focus 

Other than that, everything was good

The Small things count screen shake effect hit knockback all them made the combat system cool.

and parallax and other bg element gave it a very cool presentation!

The player movement was a little glitchy and not easy to control and camera was zomming in and out that made my focus go wild, was not able to understand the map because of it

I liked the game, but after some time when big ants start comming up my player just die in front of them like total despair!

The Enemies were pretty hard!

Damn the game was good, I have recently played celeste. this game has the same vibes with metroidvania topping on it. Really enjoyed, A very well-designed game.

Suggestion:

Only one thing that felt missing was player death animation whenever I die it felt odd a little dying without animation

This is really goood! I liked Most of the things. After getting the water ability I was like this game is dope!

Suggestion:

The art was a little too dark, it was little hard to see

It is Fun & simple, I like these kind of game

You have done a great job at creating a classic. Really loved the pixel effect of screen transitions

The name had a math nerd ring to it, good try. It felt good to achieve attack and jump and kill those bloody triangles!

whole tutorial portion was good and very easy to understand. The sprites style was very unique

I got stuck in the top area, the crawl just glitch in the corners.  

Hope you fix that after JAM

The Game Mechanics are really good. just that the slime projectile attack is soo fast not enough time to dodge & it really gets unbeatable if there are more than 2 slime near you

They should have some kind of knock back from sword to hit them without hurting our self

Very Great choice of assets! the music & graphics has created a very soothing effect.

The movement acceleration and jump delay really made the game frustrating. and in some places I was not able to distinguish between platforms and bg specially in tree area

Everything was happening SOOO fast, make it slow with some time for player to grasp the situation 

It was FUN!

the music was kind of trippy and cockroach was damn scary.

The Player run animation and game mechanics was good,
Player attack hit box was not at the right spot sometime I just happen to miss the attack

The Movement Mechanics & grapple was something new I saw in the JAM. other than that best of luck for future development

It is a good entry, but dodging bats is quite hard. and the movement felt slow as compared to the other element of game like those moving platforms and bats. Gems Idea was good, but it doesn't make it in the Metroidvania style. it feels odd to stopped because you don't have enough Gems in this type of games

Good, If it is your first try, you should always block all the sides. My player just fall from the rom edge and there was no way to get back up

We got what you are saying, the end submission was a bit rushed at our side. That's why some small changes left to do like Checkpoints, Health Potions, GamePad Config. Really liked your Indepth review. We will update the other things too after the JAM . Again thanks for Playing!
