Yeah The Witness style of game isn't everyone's cup of tea but it's definitely mine! You did an awesome job capturing the feel of it :)

I'm a huge fan of The Witness and Obra Dinn so when I read the description I had to play it! I loved the style and atmosphere and how the game teaches you the "rules" of each run with minimal instructions like The Witness does. Two things were really unfortunate though:

  1. One of the "correct" doors in the rune guide puzzle is not the actual correct solution judging by the rules of the runes. Another commenter mentioned this and going off that comment I think it's room 10 (the hourglass looking icon). The left most door is the correct option ("MIE") but it removes a heart to go through that door. The middle door is not logically correct but is the door that lets you continue to the next room ("MI"). I played the web build though so maybe this was fixed in the windows build only.
  2. There are at least 2 logically correct solutions to the main room puzzle but only one unlocks the final door which tripped me up. I wish there was an indicator of sorts that you need to use a certain number of runes or something. The other solution I came up with was 3 runes: "OA-E-I" which I quadruple checked, ran by other people, and confirmed that it would come up with the same correct final image. The accepted solution uses 4 runes but I won't spoil it here ;).

Overall though I really enjoyed playing this and I would definitely love to see an expanded version that introduces more runes or other puzzles. Amazing job!

Thanks so much for the feedback! You can rotate the camera with X and C. We added some text instructions below the game window but didn't have time to put in an in-game pop up to explain that. Your idea to see an outline of the spore when it goes behind something is definitely something we'll try to implement in a future version. And we will definitely check out and rate your game as well! :)

Extremely polished with great visuals and clever puzzle design! Excellent work!

I love the pixel art and design of the little robots! They are so cute. I wish there was a cursor to better indicate where the player is aiming, and hold to shoot would be nice as well. The addition of quests was really nice and I like the upgrade system as well. The exploding pixel effects were really great and added a lot of fun visual interest. This was a very polished and complete experience. Great job!

Amazing art and graphics, and interesting concept! The ghosts' stories were fun to read and it was unique getting to pass judgement on their souls. Would love to play more levels especially if the card bug is fixed!

Very unique concept and gameplay! I tried so hard to survive but I failed :(

I love the little pixel characters and art style! Throwing the briefcase around is super fun and silly. Great atmosphere as well!

Nice little puzzle game! It would be cool to see more levels and mechanics added in the future.

Super fun and relaxing game! The music fit perfectly with the atmosphere and I enjoyed watching my village grow and expand with each generation.

I love the style of the character and enemies! I'm a huge fan of anything glowy :) I like the ability to get different upgrades from the enemies to power up your moves.

Really fun upgrades and gorgeous art and music! I wish the player moved a bit faster to make it easier to dodge especially as things start ramping up.

Definitely one of my favorites I've played so far! I love the adorable pixel art and the upgrade mechanics. I do wish there was a way to heal the shrine since it is hard to avoid damage entirely, especially towards the beginning when I didn't have any upgrades. However, this is extremely well done and I had a blast playing it!

Loved seeing the money start to roll in as I got more workers and upgrades! I think I ran into a bug on day 3 where none of my clicks were registering, but no idea what caused it. I wish the menus were a bit more intuitive.

Extremely well done and a full game from start to finish! I love the upgrade system and little details like the dead bodies still floating around upon respawn and the funny dialogue when you die. Really awesome job!

Cool art and animation! The music fits the atmosphere but is too repetitive. I couldn't tell what the special abilities did at all.

Really great pixel art! Sorry to hear that there is a game breaking bug. I still liked walking around and looking at everything and I definitely tried to pick up the huge pile of money anyway lol. The flashlight effect on the ghosts is really cool too.

Interesting and unique interpretation of the theme! I like the idea that the wizard moves objects with magic, very cute. I would recommend adding some pop up icons to indicate which buttons to use to interact with things or a tutorial. Good job!

I really like the sprite design and music! The movement was a bit fast and I found the climbing mechanic to be a bit tricky to pull off unless I used both hands. The atmosphere was really great; it has a SteamWorld Dig vibe that I really enjoyed.

The music shifting into a glitchy version was so cool! The hints/comments were super helpful otherwise I wouldn't have gotten very far on my own. The old Windows PC feel was super nostalgic and spot on!

Very unique and conceptual take on the theme! It was fun to see the game progress and read through the developer notes. I enjoyed the humor when the ball speed went crazy after one update. Definitely very relatable as a developer :)

Super adorable art style and atmosphere! The story was very heartwarming. I loved throwing the bread at the ducks which was a really cute addition. Great job!

Very fun and challenging! I love the cute pixel characters and floaty magic wand. The controls feel really good. I wish there was a way to make permanent progress. To get stronger I had to die, but that also decreased my health/number of lives which made it much easier to get a game over. It was easy to get overwhelmed with the number of bullets on screen too and I kept getting cornered, even when I was fully upgraded and trying to shoot the bullets to kill them.
