The mechanics is solid. It took a while for me to get use to the swinging and moving but after that it was easy to get the hang of.
Got a sweet time of 150s.
The game level design feels very good. I didn't feel frustrated falling down because the overall platform placement is great, like there's a platform only 1 or 2 screen below for safety when falling. Great control choice to let the user shoot the rocket anytime, it feels good when using the momentum to shoot to get to a safe platform when falling and satisfying when doing a mega rocket jump.
Got a sweet #8 place, 316 point record for first time run.
I like the overall theme and the frog is quite adorable, especially with the large fall animation. Its rewarding figuring out the right position to swing and the precise run speed to land on the target area. Also great inclusion of the progress bar in the side!
I didn't have much trouble with the controls except some parts when swinging. It felt a little tough when the anchors point changes during the building of the swing momentum. Overall ribbeting good job!
Very polish game. The little random messages reminds me of the 'Getting Over It' narrator, and the mechanics finding the right direction combos for certain jumps gives me Jump King's vibes of knowing how long to hold the jump button. The game nails the Foddians themes!
I think the only part that slow down the gameplay flow is when, after full charge jump in the air and landing, I felt waiting for the movement energy back up can feel a little too long.
It was fun! I like the difficulty spike near the beginning, after getting use the controls and getting past that point the rest was a smooth ride. I like the skater dude animations and trail effect.
I would like to see maybe in a future version is like another indicator of progress (other than the platform color change), was a little unsure if I made progress after flying far at a few jump points.
I got a good 7min 18sec for my first record!
Great game! I'm not the best at puzzle games but both the scaling in difficulty and introducing new mechanics were really smooth. I got stuck at one point with the 3 walls (stuck in between 2 walls) but was able to restart using the menu. The controls and time mechanics is solid. I think the only trouble I had was like climbing down.
I like the overall dark thematic, the music choice was great, and I like the story progression with the previous adventurer.
