Yee, we can see your publishing page. Good job!

(1 edit)

Um, alright I'm a be straight with you. This isn't a serious competition or anything, it's just meant  to be a fun experience. I mean hell, the reward is "kenergy." So in a lot of ways, it's up to you to make the call. If you think it's cheating, then maybe it is. But someone submitted in the last jam a mod for an existing game and we let it through. This may not be the answer you want or were looking for, but it's up to you to make the decision whether what you want to work on fits the jam.

Yeah ofcourse, shoot

What a meme, I love it

Mein gott, a map game, and well done too. Pretty impressive, great job

Surprisingly solid beefie, for a GMS game  ¬‿¬. Still it was good, glad you were able to get this done

Very cute and simple game, good job

Heyo, fun, I like how you circumnavigated ai by making it a completely local mp game. Pretty solid. Although one thing I'd like to point out since it has been said yet is that the game kinda freezes when there is no winner (everyone is dead). But yeah, still a great submission

This is a solid game jam submission. Amazing job. How did you synch the notes with the song speed and everything?

Yeah, I can't leave it in this state forever. I'll see what can be done. But definitely no official updates until rating is over

Yeh, what was intended is far different from the actual outcome, kek. When it comes to how the player actually handles I'm pretty confident that the idea is correct, I just need to gut the npc and make it it properly this time. I'll put some more time into it this weekend, if not this week

Danke sehr, we thought what could possibly be the worst thing you could encounter in space, and that was Amogus

Ok, yeah that makes a lot of sense now. We didn't really think much of it at the time, just thought if it looked like it was in a 1:1 aspect ratio then it's basically 64x64. Big oof on our part

Ah, this is pretty wicked. We never actually did have someone test the game as an outsider so we weren't sure entirely how people handle the game. We kept thinking it was too easy but I guess we had an unfair advantage XD. Like a lot of the suggestions make sense now in hindsight, because we wanted to give the player a minimalist ui since there already was soo little to see. We tried using the outside of the screen as like a natural fog of war. But yeh, after watching this I think we prob could've kept the minimalist ui while still addressing health, fuel, and navigation.  Also yeah, some things were just bugs we didn't have time to work on like the ambushing amogus when dialogue appears. All in all, thanks a ton, we probably needed something like this

Danke sehr, and yeah at first we were considering coloring it but we just liked the style too much too

Oh yeah, we realized towards the end that we messed up in our planning and didn't account for the colliders on some of the objects correctly but didn't have time to fix it. Big oof on our part. We initially planned to not have a health bar because we wanted to keep the screen as clear as possible, but with hindsight (and seeing how others handled it) we probably really should've added something for the health XD

Thanks for playing, glad ya got to enjoy it! But could you elaborate what you mean about the jam constraint? We understood the rules as wanting everything within a 64x64 resolution so we thought we achieved it by keeping all the sprites in that scale.

Should really have sound I think, but turtle was capin bruv as the kiddos say.

I think the game needs to be a bit more forgiving but otherwise it's fine. Seems like you probably could just make the ships smaller and have the same game play but with more room to navigate.

I think there's potential of it being more, but in general the artwork and music are on point

I agree with the 45 degree comment. But regarding the game I think it's pretty good. I particularly liked how the flame thrower was handled.

Seems pretty cool, but there are some points where the game really lags due to interaction

Cool that you made your own engine. How in depth is turtle and are you thinking of expanding on it or was it purely made to do simple games?

Game was awesome. My favorite so far. The mood is perfect and I'm a sucker for these kind of games. How did you implement the fog of war?

Game was fun. Took me a while to comprehend what I was looking at exactly, but it may be that I'm just tired XD

I would like there to be more, mainly because it was actually pretty fun. Little jittery when colliding with walls but otherwise solid.

This is pretty fun, I liked the simplicity and what seems to be a possible option to create my own stages if I understand it correctly. No idea how you put this together but keep it up. Perfect submission as far as I'm concerned.

This is really cool, got like megaman battle network vibes. How did you set up the title screen like that too with the letters just slapping themselves on the screen?

Vibrating effect was a bit too harsh I think, but overall fun

Very consistent, I liked it. A bit ruthless but I dig it.

Bit more explanation on the game page as to why the "game" is so, "unrefined" to put it nicely. But still, feel free to look at it as you please.

Well, that's strange. I checked earlier and the exe was there. But to be honest, it's probably for the best. I procrastinated so much that what was a 2-week game jam was a 24-hour game jam for me. I want to work on it more since I think there's actual potential but at this stage, I think I'm glad you can't play it, strangely enough. I really wanted to make sure atleast something was submitted, get myself into the groove of making more games. I'll send a reply out later or something if/when I do fix it.
