Did you work in a team?
I made everything by myself except for the sound effects which are from Splice!

Was the resolution a challenge?
The low resolution actually made it easier. The reason I took part in this jam was to force myself to make simpler art.

What did you learn?
I released my first game! That's enough to make this whole challenge worth it.

love the wholesomeness of this, and very good music! grats on your first game!

Developer

“wholesome” is the best compliment, thank you!

Your first game ever? Congratulations, you already won the jam!

For sure, some more gameplay would have been welcome because everything else about this seems good to me.

Developer(+1)

thank you, i’m glad you enjoyed playing it!

Niiiiiice! Cool pixelart and music. Played it twice)

Developer

thank you so much, i appreciate that!

Submitted(+1)

I would have loved a bit more of “game” in it.. idk, the tunning could have really been mimicking a real tunning up and down on a digital gitar tunner for example, rather than just single press mechanics.

Great music track, and it’s cool to showcase that, but feeling a bit too short in gameplay.

Developer

i completely agree! the original concept was like that, but life got in the way, so i resorted to the simplest alternative. instead, i focused on the music and making it look pretty. but if i ever make a post-jam version, i’ll definitely add more complexity to the mini-games!

Honestly this was such a welcome relief to just sit and listen for 5 minutes, I wanted to see if the song ended or would loop, I'll let people find out themselves ;)was nice to have a minute to just sit back and finish my drink while reading the discord ^^ thanks a bunch, very creative!

Developer(+1)

i’m glad you enjoyed playing it! i kept the scope astronomically small and ended up going for a quick “get in, get out” experience with a section at the end to stay as long as you want while listening to music. and i’m happy that people are leaving the game open to listen while doing other things!

Submitted(+1)

This was super cool and I think there’s a lot more you could do with this concept! Also glad to not be the only “toy” in this competition! Great work!

Developer

thank you so much! i’ll definitely consider expanding the concept in the future. this is more of a proof of concept and i’m glad you enjoyed it!

ps: you were my first comment on this submission haha, appreciate it!

Lmao! It’s been a looooong jam, haha!

Submitted(+1)

Yup the music is a bop! Dunno why but i tought it was a tuning mini-game, at least I got to vibe with the music.

Well done!

Developer(+1)

haha, thank you! i’m happy that people are enjoying the music.

I really enjoyed this, I just wish there was more to it because I think the core mechanic could be used for some really interesting puzzles. Do you plan to expand it after voting has closed?

Developer

thank you so much, and absolutely! the consensus seems to be that there’s a lot of potential in the key concept. the puzzle genre popped into my head a couple times during development, as well as “WarioWare” style games with lots of short mini-games. but i’ll definitely consider expanding the gameplay and adding more content once voting finishes.

Submitted(+1)

Actually this is not 64x64 or less, because the pixels are spinning.

But the game is great!

Developer

that’s fair, and thank you!

Submitted(+1)

I think there's potential of it being more, but in general the artwork and music are on point

Developer

thank you so much, i’m glad you enjoyed it!

Submitted(+1)

I can get behind this. It's short right now, but it has big potential. Great work!

Developer

thank you! and i agree, might come back to it once voting finishes and add more content.

Submitted(+1)

I dig the vibe! Definitely leaving the music on while I play more jam games tonight.

Developer

haha, that’s very kind of you to say! i’m glad you enjoyed the music.

The gameplay has a charming simplicity to it even if theres not much meat on the bones. Audio is really great, evokes the atmosphere you aim for extremely well. Resolution isn't exactly 64x due to the fact that several objects aren't locked to the specific pixel in their movement, but the visuals are still pleasing regardless.

Developer

thank you! i addressed the resolution issue in a comment further down, but it’s still fair. i’m glad you enjoyed playing it and i appreciate that comment about the atmosphere!

Submitted(+1)

A short experience but rich in atmosphere.

Developer

i’m glad you enjoyed it! i’m proud of the atmosphere i created.

This is so cute and simple! Really cute idea

Developer

aw, i’m glad you enjoyed it!

That was short, but.. Awesome art, well designed mini games, and a chill song!

I also do like its concept about sound check a lot! Well done!

Developer(+1)

i appreciate that! the concept was roaming around in my mind for a while, so i used this jam as a reason to execute it.

Very good feedback & audio!

Developer

thank you! the screen shake was a last-minute addition, but it added so much to the feedback.

Submitted(+1)
