Really cool. I've been hunting for all the other casino shooters in the jam and this one's been a real highlight. Huge props for the intro and how atmospheric it was. I also loved the lights out + giant roulette wheel moments, they were super vibey. I liked the steady pulse of the music and how dynamic it was, with layers coming in and out as the fight progressed, set a real tone.

Shooting and movement felt nice, and the mechanics were really neat.

I may have missed it, but I'd suggest maybe a key mapped for a quick reference on the bullets as the player gets started - I found myself going in and out of the menu a lot trying to remember what all the different types did as I got into a flow with it.

Overall, really great entry. Made me feel like I was locked in a soul duel with a truly scary foe. Sounds like a good boss fight to me :)

Cool to see another casino shooter - I think our games definitely share a fair bit of DNA. Great stuff! I really enjoyed the music, and even if most of the art was from asset packs, it was really well implemented. I loved the opening animation and 'insert life savings' button, gave me a good chuckle and was immersive too.

Combat felt really solid in general. I liked the active reload mechanic, though I think maybe having the target at the top of the circle would make it easier to interact with while staying focused on the game...  though as I'm typing I've just spotted the green line on the roulette wheel in one of your screenshots and am wondering if I just don't spend enough time in casinos...

One thing I'll note is that I didn't feel like there was quite enough feedback on the plusses and minuses of the different reloads - I could see they were visually different, but it was hard to say (amongst the bullet hell) what made them different enough to be super incentivised to interact with the reloading game - I found often I was performing better when just spamming shoot/reload and accepting whatever I got, rather than waiting for that sweet green reload.

All up, nice and polished, great focused effort. Well done!

Hey! About to play yours now - I'm on a quest to try and play/rate all the other casino-themed games in the jam at the moment.. here's ours :)

Currently on a quest to play all the other casino-themed games in this jam :D
This was visually amazing!  I can't believe the detail and effort put into the environments and animations, with the opening cutscene, lobby area, let alone the bosses. Really, really cool stuff.
Gameplay and UI felt nice and polished, with some nice variety and boss attacks and weapons that were generally really fun to use.

Some minor feedback - I think the base pistol feels a little disappointing (just the rate of fire I think), especially when your enemy gets to launch a million coins per second at the start of the game, haha!
A couple more sfx would be nice (dash and things like that).

Maybe a little more bullet speed on the uzi to make it feel a little more deadly and less floaty.

But really good stuff.

This was really juicy. Short but sweet, with a lot of love and care put into the little parts of player experience. All the movement, timings, responsiveness etc felt really good and super professional. The boss fight was great, but the tutorial area was really well put together and super atmospheric as well. Really cool.

Would be great to get a little more clarity about what your team's involvement was in terms of music/sfx (does 'Yes in art' mean all the sound was sourced elsewhere?) so I know how to rate in that space :)

Currently on a quest to play all the other casino-based games from the jam...

This was heaps of fun - kept me playing for quite awhile. Lucky I avoid slot machines in real life, because that one had me hooked.  All the different rolls were really interesting and kept me coming back. Not sure if it was bugged, but had some trouble with the 'bubbles' one - is it meant to have extremely short range? If so maybe a clearer visual indicator that they're popping or something would help that ability along.

I really liked it though - lots of depth and interesting boss behaviour. As others have said, a bit of sound would make it pop, but all up a great entry I think.

Heeey, another casino-themed action game :) I had to come for a look.

I really liked the art and aesthetic of this one. I thought the main menu theme and presentation in particular was great for getting the vibe set and started. The telegraph animation on the dice boss was really slick - I admit I wasn't able to beat him, and tried for quite a while. I think you're on to  a really great design here. My feedback would be around the player movement - base speed felt low, and the jump a bit floaty, to be as satisfying as it could be to control.

All in all, great package - well done!

Very cool entry.  The 'spin' is definitely strong with this one :) Art and visuals are a huge plus here, and love the roguelike elements and subtle secondary applications of 'spin' throughout.
I'm really impressed with how cohesive it feels given the size of the team as well - you guys must have your communication and logistics absolutely on lock.

I'd like to submit my application to also join hammer gang (but seriously, that weapon feels super chunky in a great way)

Really interesting stuff.

Not my usual genre, and I admit to being hugely overwhelmed in the opening moments of the game (felt like a bit of an avalanche of concepts, mechanics and numbers), but the effort and skill put into this thing is absolutely undeniable. Really original, in my opinion, and I feel like the 'spin' element is right down deep in its DNA as well, which is really cool to see. Lovely presentation too, both visually and sonically.

Great work - I didn't expect to play anything quite like this.

I was terrible at this!! I'd love to see some dev gameplay to see what it looks like with a competent player at the helm :')

Very cool use of a two-button scheme for a fairly involved gameplay loop. Art in particular was really nice - that opening animation was really, really cool. I think maybe a little clearer visual feedback on the direction the asteroid was heading would make aiming a little easier, but maybe I'm just bad.

Well done - cool concept and execution for sure.

Cool game! I found it pretty challenging, but the controls felt really nice - dash in particular was really nice tuned I think. Soundtrack was great and a really original sound, and the art was simple but really effective for the job. Nice range of boss behaviours and designs too. Great work.

Hey, really nice work. Visuals were tasty and the boss behaviour felt really professional in terms of the patterns etc. Loved the comic book lighting etc all the way throughout. SFX and music were really solid, and the parry mechanic felt good. Great stuff :)

Hey Phil! Thanks for the feedback on the music, it was a lot of fun to make, and I'm glad the genre-bending sounded good to you :) was a bit out-there but thought I'd give it a crack.

Thanks for the feedback on weapon sounds too - I'll speak up for our SFX guys Josh and Kieran here though! The gun sounds in particular are actually super beefy in isolation, but are battling hard for space at the moment against the tunes. The music's currently very greedy in terms of how much of the frequency spectrum it takes up, particularly in the bass range where a lot of the wicked punch of the weapon sounds is. Interesting new challenge for the whole audio gang to experiment with ways to do everyone's work justice - we'll see how we go in a postjam patch. Looking at maybe using FMOD to help with some ducking or something.

Thanks again for the feedback - looking forward to checking yours out, looks hella slick from those GIFs!

Hey mate! Cool to see another music guy getting around. I did all the music for Crapshoot (below).
Looking forward to playing Revolvum soon when I get a chance to sit down and do a proper rate/review session.

If you'd like to check out our game in the meantime here's a link :)
