Game's Take on the Theme
The bosses get a random buff during the fight, which is chosen by a spin of a roulette. The game is also Casino-Themed with one of the bosses being a Slot machine which chooses attacks by spinning

Yes, we made all the art and music, but we used a couple sounds

Great job! Had fun playing this, I was really engaged in defeating the slot machine hahaha, some combo attacks were nasty.
You did a great job with the art and sounds it all fits well together. Controls were a little tricky but a little practice helped. It was fun to play!
Had a hard time getting used to the controls. I think space being jump is ingrained in my soul and its hard to get used to z being jump. I like the aesthetic of the game and I think the idea is nice. I wish either the first boss had way less health or we had a tutorial section.
fun game with a cool art style that fits together really well with all the bosses and abilities they have! i do wish the dash ability let's you get i-frames for invincibility or something while dashing to help avoid some of the abilities, or a variety of attacks for the player character would be cool to see! would love to see this game expanded upon further!
The art is really nice and cohesive, and I love how the bosses all have clear telegraphs for their attacks (the dice faces changing was my favorite)! I do think the player's attack range should be a big longer, and the amount of boss health could be tweaked a bit.

Thanks for the feedback, the first two points definitely need balancing, but the wheel is supposed to do that, the point is to flip the run around even for a short period of time, to freshen it up and make it progressively harder while also ideologically tying it with luck and casino odds
Cool entry I like the mechanic and the art feels authentic!
Having the playing cards being the health bar was a genius idea, the animations are really nice and everything ties together really well

I really liked the concept and the idea of having the roulette wheel decide your fate for the boss. I liked the custom music too :D. I just thought that the health pool was a bit high for the first boss. It was a fun game though!

good game i liked the art style but why the platforms repeats same i mean you could add some parkour to make it harder

Very cool concept and stylish visuals! + really nice music. I also liked the boss fight designs, but it REALLY needs a tutorial—I had to get used to the controls. But I can feel how much effort went into the game—great work!

Controls were horrible, atleast for me, I just couldn't get used to them. Otherwise game seemed nice. The art style was good as well as the music.
I liked the visual style and music. The game needs tutorial and the controls are implemented strangely for me, it took some getting used to. But I still couldn't beat the first boss. It seems to me that he has too much health, the first phase before the roulette appeared took about a minute. I also got the feeling that the boss collider is more than a visual representation of it.

I think he means the hitbox is more than the sprite

OMG i loved the artwork on this one. The Life display was incredibly smart! Music and SFX were on point as well.
About the gameplay, I felt that it was too hard! I gave it a lot of tries and did not managed to beat the boss :( But I guess thats just skill issue XD I might come back for this one afterwards, because I really loved your artstyle here. Great game!

Thank you so much for your feedback! If you're having trouble defeating bosses, you can enable God Mode by pressing Page Up + Page Down. This will let you see all of the boss attacks!
Fun idea, the whole animations were great, a lot of potential, keep up the awesome work
I really love your creative idea! Incorporating casino elements into the game is so innovative. Playing your game gave me lots of inspiration! It's fantastic! The only suggestion for improvement would be the controls - for example, it would be great if the jump action was mapped to the space bar!

While playing this game I definitely felt a lot of love put into it, from the cohesion of the boss themes and mannerisms, the codes, the themed menu, etc. I really think you guys should just keep at it and make more and more games, because the qualms I have with this game are all game feel things that you just build up as you make more games. For example, I think melee combat can be a very tricky domain if you don't have your bosses take hit stun, because it feels like you're hitting a wall rather engage in a fight. I also think things like the 2nd fight having movable platforms that the player doesn't stick to just feels very weird and makes it so that the player can't focus on actually playing the game since they're using most of their brainpower to inch forward bit by bit to stay on the platform. The more you make games the more you're just gonna get that intuition for what feels right so I really hope you guys just keep creating and building your strengths because you already have such a strong basis here!

There's some incredible potential here, I love the dice boss's animations and indications. I feel like the player's jump needs to be a little less floaty and the melee range should be increased and have better impact. Good job!
