Thank you for your comment, I will keep that in mind.

The game is a complete experience: explore the cavern, find the treasure, go back home. The “getting lost” is part of the experience since it’s a cavern after all. I wanted to add glowing flowers to help the adventurer along the way but I didn’t have time.

I won, on first try!

Congrats on the submission.

Love the progression and the colours used. I would have liked to always see my character while having the monsters be hidden by darkness. Interesting use of the theme!

The shop wouldn’t always open for me.

Congrats on your entry!

Nice puzzle game! I could see people who enjoy hardcore puzzle games enjoy this one.

I will be honest and say I have not finished it, but I will probably revisit it later on. Just too tired at the moment!

Good job!

Finished the game with 20 out of 24 coins. I would have liked to see at least a transition to an “end game screen”. Eh at least I got to yeet myself off a cliff!

I liked the transition between surface and depth and the core mechanic. Good job!

Love the card play and the graphics are very clean. I will echo the others to say this could become a bigger game and addictive.

I wish I could have paused the game.

I wasn’t sure if my cursor was actually in the text box for the leaderboard until I started typing.

Good job on your submission!

Thanks for trying my game and keeping your comment spoiler free :) Glad you liked it.

I tried to fix most of the slowdowns. Did you throw a lot (200+) torches?

Thank you for trying my game! I know where you got stuck. I uploaded a new version with hopefully a small hint that will help players along the way in that section.

Let me know if you try again and it helps you!

You probably didn’t miss any controls, but point taken on the “try while being told”.

What a fun game! The graphics are great, the sound design is spot on and the build up in mechanic is perfectly paced. Well done!

I completed it in 293 steps.

Bang!

Congrats on the submission. Instead of having a set time, maybe the enemies should be faster and faster until you are overcome so it feels like there is an end to it.

Nice work, and nice twist on the farming genre!

It did not. Does it need any library to be installed?

I agree with the rage comments, but it was still overall fun. There is a market for these kind of game. The simple art style reminded me of VVVVVV.

Good execution. While it’s normally a tedious process in a game to go back to the beginning of the level, this one was fun since the difficulty changed and the enemies mechanics were different as well.

Nicely done!

I will echo the others’ sentiment that it is a fun idea! I liked the animation of the pigs - they looked so happy :)

Unfortunately the game does not launch for me. While the theme for this jam was not respected, it looked like a great clone

The art style is great and the overall theme is very unique. I would have liked to see an “end game” type of objective.

Well done!

Very enjoyable and unique mechanic. I’m a sucker for puzzle games and this is right up my alley.

Well done.

Unfortunately the game crashed on me mid-way. The opponent played a sparrow when I had no seeds on the board.

Overall I enjoyed the game a lot. I’m a fan of deck builders and the game could be definitely improved and become very enjoyable. There should be a way of attacking an enemy card with multiples cards, because right now sometimes you get block for a while and it slows down the pace of the game. Maybe having multiple cards of the same type attack all at once?

Fun game! Once I got the hang of it and completed one cycle it became a bit too easy considering all the upgrades I had though. All in all a very solid submission.

I meant that because of all the carrots :)

Thank you for the comment Achie! The movement was a deliberate choice to make the puzzles a little bit harder.

For the sfx and msx, I decided to participate in the jam with only two weeks left and work overtime forced me to cut some corners, unfortunately!

Nicely done! Very polished game and interesting mechanic. Getting good combos is hard, or I’m pretty bad at the game.

Congrats on the submission! Good puzzle game with a twist on a classic genre. You should put a bit more contrast on the movement arrow vs the green tiles as it was hard to see at first.

Congrats on the entry! I won’t need my glasses after playing it

Simple but effective. Feels like a complete experience in a small package. Well done!

One minute to do farming? Sign me up! Fortunately the paycheck is there as well.

Cute little game. Well done.

Thank you for your kind words!

Yes that would make it a bit more obvious. Thank you for the feedback!

That’s a fun one! I understand the rules, but I think I have some mistakes in my answers because I can’t find the solution just yet. Or I don’t understand how to work the last puzzle.

Nonetheless, I liked it! Good job.

Thank you for playing my game!

No. There are two artifacts related to your grand-parents: the newspaper article about the house fire and the love letter. They were there for lore purposes.

If I expand on the game I have ideas concerning the overarching storyline

Amazing game, with lovely environments! I always had a hard time with old text-based puzzle games like Hugo but this one was good because it was more constrained.

Congrats on the submission.

Thank you, I really appreciate it! The workable space was a bit small but I wanted the player to have the feeling of “too many articles to look at”. I had an idea to have boxes you had to open to take out articles and that you could used to organize yourself, but I ran out of time since I only decided to participate in the jam in the last week.

I liked it a lot! Congrats on the submission.

The story was nice and the mechanic fits well. Impressive artwork for such a small jam. High-quality all around.

Good job on the submission!

Cool mix between figuring the different elements for each victim and the spatial puzzle it creates.
