In what way does your game fit the theme?
Video tape surveillance that requires the player to rewind it to catch all of the details
Did you write most of the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes and yes (apart from an icon and sounds/music for which I used copyright free assets credited in the game's description)

I liked the game. A bit difficult to put the vhs in because it covers all the screen, but that's not a big problem.
This was an extremely well made game. Great job. It was a little hard, and a lot to keep track of, but that probably just comes with detective style games. I played for a good 20-30 minutes and then guessed, and I got it right the first time! I loved all of the tapes hidden around the room, and option actually in the desk! Great job and very clever game!
Nice concept and I thought it worked really well. It did crash on me pretty early, but that meant I didn't have far to catch up.
Great detective game! I especially like how you can arrange stuff on your table, and "dynamically" search for clues, it is very immersive.
I can't think of any criticism. Good work!
Also, not to brag or anything...but I got the suspect first try >:) (with clues, without guessing!)
Nice game.
A bit too much nothing on the tapes, though I understand it's necessary to fit the parallel schedules.
The desk became a real mess after finding a few tapes, but never enough to prevent me from finding what I needed.
Although, why the mechanic of throwing objects ? It felt a bit weird trying to put something down or organize a nice pile, only to fling tapes across the office.
Also, the interrogation tapes could use a bit more infos about their duration/progression. I missed a couple dialogues the first time because I though the interrogation was over, due to the text staying the same, but it wasn't and I was not patient enough.
Overall a fun experience, wouldn't mind playing a "complete" game in this style.
Very nice work and game! It would require polish on the motion and UI but great!
I would really appreciate your opinion on mine as well if you have a moment.
Looks well made. Not sure if it was because of the motion blur, but it felt like the game was running at horrible framerate (& I have decent GPU)
Very nice, I really felt like I was investigating a crime!
Post-jam, a better UI, graphics and sounds could make it great. It's hard to recognize the characters, to know what they are doing, and the desk because messy pretty fast! It all comes in the way of the investigation work.
I think there could also be a way to navigate through the tapes more easily than with rewind and fast forward, like a cursor? Check out our game, we use one :p
this was really amazing, truly amazed to see you pulled this off in 1 week, also love your take on theme, and gameplay was fun.
This was a really great entry which clearly had a lot of work go in to it to make the objective work, clearly a very big brain on the developer! I thought the pieces to solve the mystery being hidden around gave a good interactive element to what could of been solely a thinking experience! I think that the theme could have been implemented better (perhaps you're locked into the playback of the tapes and rewinding at the right moments stores part of the perps alibi to an easier to reference notepad or something?) but I was completely immersed by the way that this was done and think the dev should be very proud of their work! I hope you had a lot of fun making this as it definitely feels like you put everything you could into it! If you get a moment, I would love some feedback on my submission to the jam, we have gone for different ends of the spectrum on our games and I think I could learn a lot from the way you introduced the controls of the game, and the general user interface as a whole!
Loved it! Cant say anything bad about it considering it was done in a week!
The game is great, I really enjoyed the question of putting the tape on the vhs and trying to solve the crime. Congratulations, I really liked it!
Nice work, actually same kind of genre my team did!
Good game design, and having to hunt your own office for the clues was a pretty funny touch.
Some quality of life features would be nice, like opening and closing the drawers to not just be the tiny knob handle, but clicking anywhere on the drawer.
Also, the TV screen seemed to be overly dark, it should be a little brighter and maybe cast some light when it is on.
And instead of filling the whole screen when picked up, make the objects be picked up at its regular orientation, with a toggle to "take a closer look", so placing stuff isn't so aggravating.
I did appreciate that the clues respawned when I accidentally yeeted them across the room or into another dimension.
Great work overall, had fun playing!
i really like detective mysteries.
i have a goal of making one and your game really make me enjoy. and as i say the name really makes me play your game
and thanks for rating my game
Overall this is a nice game. It has a good immersive atmosphere and you are quickly getting into the vibe. The initial 'tutorial' wasn't entirely clear, but it fell into place eventually.
Wow, overall great detective game. The implementation of rewind was really nice and the story itself was pretty good. I was hooked for a while, so great job on the design. Great job on this one!
thanks a lot :D
Loved your take on the game! Really great story and overall game environment! I really enjoyed it!
thanks a ton mate
I really like the game you have created, I'am a huge fan of detective stories, I wish I could wander around the room somehow, but it was allright the way you created it, nice idea with the options button :-)
hey thanks! yeah the options were super fun to make xD
Awesome game! Really made me play for a while and was fun all along! Really well done!
thank you so much!
The game looked amazing! However, my laptop probably was unable to handle the game 😅It was lagging like crazy and the graphics for blurry. And it was close to exploding. The little parts of the game o could see looked great though. I have a feeling that it would have been a great game. Nice job! (I really wanted to play the game 😥)
yeah thing is everything you can see on the tape is actually real time happening in the same scene and I forgot to do optimizations so some pc's can't handle it :D. it's my bad mostly but thank you for leaving a review anyway :D
