I always enjoy a good bullet hell. Visuals are great and I liked the characters art direction. Music was great, even if the sound effects were a bit basic. Really good idea to use a gun as a main character in a game about guns going rogue in a factory. Great idea to make the final boss the factory itself too. The purple gun's "mini boss fight" room felt a bit too small, which actually made it harder than the boss fight itself, but other than that, great game.
I really like the audio and the visuals were nice. I have to give it full points in innovation for choosing a bullet hell for this theme, great idea.
I think that the side scroll speed was a bit too slow, which extended the play time a bit too much, but I liked the gameplay.
Finally for the writing, it was good overall and I liked the setting, but the humor was a bit hit or miss. Overall, I liked the game.
Very chill and very nice after a game jam. I like the inclusion of a narrator and I liked the art style direction and the music. I found a small bug where if you clip the edge of a platform just right, it will make you jump multiple times, which I think lead to me missing the trigger to end the game, but I still enjoyed the game. Good stuff :)
The atmosphere was great, tho the main menu tune felt a bit repetitive. The gameplay loop is interesting enough, tho reading the paper on the desk is a bit hard. It's a bit hard to tell what's going on and the camera is a bit too fast, but I like that it's basically FNAF with some decision making elements. With some polishing, this could be great.
Very fun, thought out mechanics, great characters, funny visuals and catchy tune. Great game to be made by a single person. The only part which I slightly disliked was the mosquito segment, as it was a bit hard to tell that the bag was falling down, but other than that, it's great. I can see this one being a winner. I am become fridge.
I think that the idea is pretty nice and I liked the visuals and the sound effects.
The controls could be better and the game could use a tutorial level and an options menu to lower the music volume.
The idea behind the player only shooting on move was surprisingly fun, however the controls are still pretty exhausting. I agree with the other comments that it would be better to be able to hold down the buttons.
The web version's resolution is too big, and it could've really used a full screen button. There is one at the bottom right, but it does no seem to work.
As for what I could play: Art is pretty and the music is great. The game concept looked neat and well thought out. There were some spelling errors, however the writing itself was decent.
Would love to see a full game release
I really like the art style and the music choice. The theme is also funny and I think that it fits the theme of the game jam well.
It was hard to notice the publish button, and I think that the game would be better without it, it feels more intuitive to click a a genre and an action and that's it.
Overall, great idea, unique concept, very good art.
Hey, thanks a lot for the detailed review!
I am glad that you enjoyed the art and the music. My artist did a fantastic job on the art and I'm glad that I got to work with them.
And thank you for the level design praise! I did indeed spend a good amount of time on the level design. Despite this being my first time designing platformer levels, I am glad the people seem to be enjoying the levels.
I must admit that I struggled a bit to get the control to where I want them. I thought that it would be easier to do the kind of air control I envisioned, however it seems that I must spend some more time on learning in that area.
The retry button not working is actually a bug which I will be fixing soon. It seems that I must've forgot to account for something on the web version. The retry button is working in all cases in the editor.
Glad you enjoyed the game :)
