Created using AI?

Is Text-to-Speech allowed for dialogue?

Not easy to get hooked with all the explanation. Maybe a simpler design would help. Seems to have lots of details and depth if you are ready to get pass the introduction.

Very lovely game with nice small quests. Everything played well together.

Personally, I prefer a graphic style with more details.

High quality and well-polished. Music is high quality, but to me not so well fitted. Music is dramatic and hectic, but there really is no urgency in what I got to play.

It can be a long session, so save function would be nice, maybe auto-save at game exit at least for desktop-version.

Thank you for playing and reviewing!

I did test vertical position change, but it was the easiest to spot as the position change vertical was biggest because of the grid cells have larger height than width to best fit the character dimensions

You go to your Dashboard and upload your game. After that you go to this jam page overview where you press submit, where you select your newly uploaded game. You can only submit a game if you have joined the jam.

When you go to your game page you can verify in top right corner that the game has been submitted to the jam.

I picked: UE5 Blueprint FPS: Make Your Own First Person Shooter In Unreal!

I like tutorials where you end up having a "full" game you can use as a template.

I will convert from Blueprint to Angelscript along the way.

From wiki:

The first computer-based speech-synthesis systems originated in the late 1950s. Noriko Umeda et al. developed the first general English text-to-speech system in 1968, at the Electrotechnical Laboratory in Japan.

Maybe you try to fire a bullet or use other object that has been deleted.

both most likely

Even if it is allowed, it is most often recommended to put all effort into one game, so you have one very good game insted of 3 half good/half bad games.

Not decided if 2D or 3D. If 3D then it will be pre-made free assets from different platforms, most likely stylized, so not Megascans.

As Discord is not for everybody, I have created a restricted dashboard for you. Let it stay restricted and don't post something that must stay private. Go to view mode and post in comments.

I plan to use UE 5.4 with Angelscript and other plugins

I use Ink from Inkle Studios and the plugin Inkpot to use it in Unreal Engine 5. ink - inkle's narrative scripting language (inklestudios.com)

You don't need to learn Ink, I just need text when the time comes.

If you want to message directly then my username on discord is: miniputs

If you don't mind AI generated character sprites and text-to-speech for visual novel, then I'm interested.

If the theme suits the free 3D models available to me, then I might use them instead of sprites. Only me on team so far.

I would like for once making a visual novel with good choices and branching.

What role do you need?

Some screenshots would help.

Why are the rules not updated?

Can you make UI for other than FPS?

"Stay tuned for the exciting theme announcement!"

Stay tuned for exciting exodus.

It would be nice if the assets were allowed to be used elsewhere

The addons folder is empty in the GodotProject.zip file. So it can't load any Dialogic files because they are not included. I think the same goes for the web version shown on top here. It all means no dialogue shows up when entering dialogue area. It would be very nice to have it fixed. If (re)using Dialogic is an issue, I can recommend inkgd

What is the license for the Godot project (the game) ?

AI assets allowed?

Is Fortnite or WoW low-poly?

Is this standard dimetric projection?

Abandonware

AI tools helps indies the most

"The rules have yet to be posted at the time of this question, but it will be included when they are."

I don't see the disallowance of AI in the rules.

What game engine/framework do you have in mind?

It was a fun little game with lots of look and vibe from the original. It has the right length and easiness for a game jam. It almost feels like you are playing a webcomic. Very well done.

Are AI generated art allowed?

How is this related to Pepper&Carrot ?

I don't want any of us to have a stressful jam. So I will do this jam solo with Godot.

But maybe we can colab on a future jam when you have gained the experience you feel is needed.

I thank you for the offer anyway and wish you good luck on your own idea for this jam.

Im not sure if you mean it is doable or too risky?

I had planed making a visual novel in Godot, but I don't mind if it's made in Bevy.

I have tried another Rust game engine called Fyrox and there using Inkling GitHub - pjohansson/inkling

I have a plot and characters ready, but dialogue including text-to-speech and most backgrounds is missing.

I have used AI both for story and art. Im not an artist but programmer with basic Rust knowledge. I have never used Bevy. So if you want to collab then you better do all or most Bevy stuff.

If you don't like my idea, then I hope we can find one we can agree on. It could be your idea if its ready enough.
