Hello there!

My name is Alex and I'm a UI Designer / Artist / Programmer looking for a group to work on for this game jam! I've had some experience working on a few game jams myself alongside many other talented members so I figured I try my hand on getting more work done! This Boss Rush Jam has been very intriguing lately so I'm quite eager to join in on the fun!

Here's a link to my portfolio that shows some of the projects ranging from not only game jams but also other design projects too!

Or if you want a direct link to some of my past game projects then check this link here!

If you are interested in working together then please shoot me a message through here or direct message me on Discord [ NanoComputer ] !

Already a good start for a game jam project! I enjoyed the concept of scaling objects and especially liked the addition of voice overs to speak during certain triggers. That helped make this much more enjoyed to play through!

Wow, I'm amazed at how beautiful the game looks! The 3D models were stunning especially for a short time period jam! Moving the ship felt just right though I felt a bit confused at first on where to go. This is some great work!

I'm in love with the art style of the game! It just helps make this game burst with charm which I always adore seeing. Mechanics were simple and easy to grasp though I did feel like a lot of the levels were short. Overall, great work!

I'm amazed that your team was able to make something like this in just 4 days! The 3D models and design were spot on. Gameplay loop was pretty nice and I had a fun time solving puzzles with the scale mechanic! I would say maybe add in button prompts or a scale guide to help players better gauge on how to properly scale and manipulate the objects but aside from that, great work!

Fun wave defense game! Being able to buy expansion upgrades to expand the scale of the playing field along with various buffs after every round felt addicting. I would say you probably should try to make it clear on how to make use of the expansion system cause I felt a bit loss trying to navigate on what to do.

Hey there, I got a standalone game that you can try out! It's a speedrunning platformer game with dive kicks. Hope you enjoy and rate it as well!  https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-10/rate/2236657

Beautiful looking game with an interesting story! Very surprised with how much is put in here considering its a game jam. Movement could be improved a bit however. Great work!

Ooh just from the screenshot I feel this will be a fun game to try out! In any case, here's my game, a speedrunning platformer game with DIVE kicks. Hope you enjoy!  https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-10/rate/2236657

Oh wow this game has a ton of charm in it, I love it! Everything from the visuals to sound design is so good. My only gripes would be the movement is kind of janky, where as when I'm in the air I don't have much control on where I'm moving which killed me a lot. Neat that you had a tutorial though I was still confused on some things such as the madness meter, rocket jumping, and even switching weapons. If this game gets fleshed out later in the future I think this has potential to be something great!

Ooh movement shooters already sound up my alley. Here's my game, a speedrunning platformer game with DIVE kicks. Hope you enjoy! I'll check out yours too! https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-10/rate/2236657

Just went in and did so. Thanks!

That was a neat game, especially for a solo project. The one major thing I would say you should focus on is the animation as there's some mistakes here and there with it that you could iron out such as the sprite offsets. Also the game should have more interesting goals to attain for so the player doesn't get too bored figuring out what to do. On a positive note, I liked the diving mechanic and I believe that was well done! Overall, you did a great job on the game!

Solo game jammer here and first game jam too! Its a lot of fun but also stressful at the same time. Here's my game, a speedrunning platformer game with DIVE kicks. Hope you enjoy! I'll check out yours too! https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-10/rate/2236657

Yo, this title screen looks great! I cant wait to try it out for myself in a bit. Here's mine, a speedrunning platformer game with DIVE kicks. Hope you enjoy and rate it as well! https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-10/rate/2236657

Sure thing, I'll check your game out soon! In any case here's mine, a speedrunning platformer game with DIVE kicks. Hope you enjoy! https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-10/rate/2236657

Done. Got yours rated as well, nice work!

Simple and fun game though wish it had audio to make gameplay more engaging. Nice work.

Gotta say, I love how the game looks! The added intro cutscene was a fun touch along with all the other visuals within the game itself. The swinging was well done too though the fall speed seemed a bit too fast for my liking. Ended up dying a ton of times because of that. But nonetheless, amazing work on this project!

Sure, I'd like some feedback! Here's mine, a speedrunning platformer game with DIVE kicks. Hope you enjoy and rate! I'll get to yours soon too! https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-10/rate/2236657

Thank you! I rated and commented on your game!

Taking the diving deeper thing to heart, I like it! Firstly, the pixel art looks great and you really captured how its like to dive into the ocean depths. Though the movement was a bit finicky and slow for my liking, there wasn't much for me to try to aim for finding aside from going deeper at least from what I played. Still though, nice work on the game!

Thanks! I've went in and rated / commented on your game!

I like the idea of diving into the depths of someone's brain, seems it could be a real fun theme to base a game around. The mechanics of shooting through lighter brain areas was fun though could be fleshed out some more. Level design also could be a bit more clear as there was a few times I was lost on where to go. Overall, nice work!

Thanks, sorry for the delay but I rated / commented on your game!

I am a big fan of speedrunning type games so this was pretty cool! I love the implementation of stuff such as wall running and such but I had a few issues with stuff such as the glass breaking requiring high speeds and movement overall being too floaty. Could work on making movement more precise.

Nice work on the game however!

Thanks, I rated and commented on your post!

I was surprised how well the level was designed! The gameplay was simple but really enjoyable too! Nice work on the graphics as well. Good work!

Hey thanks! Rated and commented on your game!

Ooh this is a fun game, nice spin on the whole diving and fishing thing being about gathering character wishes instead. Nice work!

Hey thanks! I rated / commented on your game!

I hate how everytime I see skulls like these I hear the "Bad to the Bone" guitar riff. But for real, this game looks really good visually! Sound effects are nice as well. Gameplay is a bit simplistic and jumps feel too slow / floaty. Overall, I like it!

Thanks a bunch! I rated / commented on your game!

Wow this is really polished! Love the graphics and enemy design, I'm surprised at how different each enemy plays! Very fun game, amazing work!

I'm happy to hear the video helped out a lot! And yeah I felt like I missed a wall or two in this game as I was rushing to complete. Thanks for playing!

Thank you so much, I really appreciate it! Glad you enjoyed it!
