Game's Take on the Theme
Spin your head to defeat bosses in a gravitational room

Did your team make the majority of the art and music during the jam?
The Art is totally made by the team (only me), the music is borrowed from different people that let them free for non-profit projects

I don't really understand what I am supposed to do but I don't think what I was doing was the meant way to play. So I spent the entire game with my zip head off the main body and kept on attacking the boss and I practically didn't take any damage during any of the three bosses. Idk if that was luck or if that was the idea.

Anyways, to me the bosses felt pretty easy to defeat, and not much of a challenge, chomper feels way worse than roller, I didn't even switch to chomper during that run. But the game has some astonishing visuals, cool asf main menu, and I love the music.

That sounds like a pretty lucky run, every boss has some way to attack the upper side of the arena, if I get back to this I will probably add more moves and intelligence to the bosses for when such thing happens.

Yeah, In the end I decided being able to control your head was the main challenge and not really the bosses. Chomper doesn't do the charged launch instead I makes an area attack when he bites to be able to do some combos and latch to the enemy (kinda, needs better coding). Thank you so much for liking the visuals! it was my main focus for this jam!

I really like the visuals, and the mechanics are solid, also you know the graphics have this art style from the 128 bits console era, really well made and charming. I rate graphics, mechanics, music and fun the most, but all is great really, also, if you have some time, please, rate my game too, thanks!!!!

I really like the art and sounds on this one! I had to restart the game several times, because my zip head would get stuck behind the yellow wall but I do like the game design and spin mechanics. Congrats on submission.

Yo, this art style is sick! You captured the Dreamcast era perfectly, right down to the jungle beat.

The graphics are very nice, and the idea of the game is really cool (of course, it reminded me of elechead^^) But I was a little frustrated because I could defeat all the bosses by leaving my body on the ceiling and spraying attacks on the bosses who managed to do very little damage.

Anyway, it's a great proposition, so well done :D

art style is great as well as gameplay.

Love the style and overall vibe!

The overall style of this game is fantastic and the mechanics are very unique. Took me a little bit to get the hang of it, but once I figured it out I felt unstoppable xD. Fantastic work! ദ്ദി(˵ •̀ ᴗ - ˵ )

The art style is lovely! I suppose the style inspiration is from Persona series? The concept of throwing a spinning head is interesting. I'd suggest making the camera zoom out when the head is thrown out, rather than locking in on the head. This way the players can still see where the boss is, where their body is etc. Fun idea overall!

Developer

Thanks! Kinda, The models are based in the old cel-shading style that uses games like Jet Set Radio, Viewtiful Joe and Killer 7, the menu's are an in between of Persona and Crazy Taxi. Yeah I totally agree with the camera, it has been something that has been bothering me and I've trying to find new solutions since. I'm glad you had fun with my project!

At first it's a little difficult to get the hang of the controls but the idea is BRILLIANT! I had a lot of fun! I loved the whole art style and how the bosses are defeated by losing their pieces! Congratulations on the game!

i like te concept c:

Super interesting concept and fun gameplay! The controls weren't super easy for me to grasp, I found myself just standing in one place and rolling around for the first two boss fights, which felt like a cheese. Would really enjoy a full game of this mechanic. Great work!

This game has a potential to became a great platformer like Ray-man. I liked style of this game. And music is very catchy, fits on this game like a glove! Just needs a better tutorial than just showing controls.

I really dig the design of this one! Very funky. I had a hard time figuring out the mechanics, but once I got the hang of it I had a lot of fun! The boss designs are PEAK

The art is nice and the music was well put together. The controls felt good for the most part, just the jump that felt a bit heavy. I would have liked it if the jump carried me all the way across the circle, so if I jumped from the top, I’d land at the bottom. It took me about four tries to fully understand the mechanics, like controlling the head, picking it up, healing, and repeating. Great work, the mechanic was surprisingly fun!

Reminds me of that on psp game Locoroco. Pretty cool style.

Ahh I don't have a windows machine to test out this game. Maybe I will install wine later down the line but currently I am focusing on the webbased games.

I tried to implement a web version before the jam submission time ended but it always got problems with the screen size for some reason

I'm seriously loving the visual style of this game! I did like the idea of the head spin mechanic though it was a bit difficult to figure out how to use. Otherwise, everything else felt solid! Again, really cool concept and the style definitely hits for me!

Developer

Thank you so much! I'm glad you love the style, the idea was that the head is the main learning / difficulty point of the game after I ended with simpler bosses, and I quickly got used to it so I didn't realized it's difficulty.
