Thank you!!

you make some good points, thank you so much for your constructive and kind feedback!

thank you and thanks for playing my game!

that makes sense! will make sure to do that, thank you!

will definitely check your game once I get back from vacation!

I'm not playing this kind of games much so I'd love to see and learn more about them!

ye! they starteddd

the upgrades "lag" is on purpose, I changed the timescale so the player has time to prepare himself after choosing an upgrade, do you think it's unnecessary?

(1 edit)

balancing comes without a question, will definitely do so :)

thanks for the feedback!

thanks for playing my game!

Thank you so much for your feedback, I agree with everything you say and thank you for playing my game.

this was a great learning experience for me and I'm positive I can improve it on the next game jam or games I may make, thank you again :D

they kidnapped your family and they're hiding them at the bottom of the sea!

Thank you very much ♥
I agree, the game is way too unbalanced due to the lack of time to playtest and there are still many things that need to be changed :)

this movement is so addicting and i have no idea how you even made the tutorial enjoyable, amazing game!

took me some time to figure out what to do but once i did it was pretty fun!
i love the unique idea of getting to a certain level and then reincarnating as a different fish

glad you liked it :D

So i'm not sure how but i flew over 800, does it count as winning the game?

pretty interesting game but everytime i got in, i didnt know how to control my blockship and it fell apart.
i figured it had something to do with the parts and their mass and all the physics around it, i tried different combinations as well as activating the fan at different situations and nothing seemed to work

clever take on the theme, i hope eddie's family is happy :)
cheers on 20 ratings!

pretty good game there are just a few minor adjustments that need to be made imo, im gonna nitpick so bear with me please:

1.as other people said the knife attack can be improved

2.the player's or fish's collider is too big (small fish can attack from far away which makes it feel unfair)

3.damage is in decimal, would probably be better to multiply the player health by 100 and fish damage by 100 and just make the damage in Integer

4.the enemies damage text and player's damage text are nearly the same color which makes it hard to tell apart and a bit confusing at times

these are just some little faults and overall its a good game and you did a very good job for just a week!

this game is so original, thought through and well made. just wish there was a button to speed the balls oh wait there already is

the UI was bugged in fullscreen so it took me some time to realize what's the goal in this game, after i exited fullscreen it made perfect sense as i saw the timer going up whenever i drill the flashing squares

pretty simple gameplay you have to do some quick thinking while making your way down to avoid wasting time however its a bit too easy right which makes sense, it would be impossible to balance all these floors in such a short time

imo the controls were pretty easy but it would probably make sense to drill in the direction you're facing (unless you wanted to add more features to the game that involve drilling in a different direction)

i'm a big rpg fan so thats where it comes from haha, I was thinking about adding stats as well that you can add when leveling up but ended up not doing that because there was not enough time to balance it all (as the game is already very unbalanced)

the shop is in the main menu (outside the game right before you click 'play')

yes i agree it needs a lot of tweaks here and there to make it a real challenging game that can be fun for more than 5 minutes :)

thanks a lot for your valuable feedback!

tysm, i didn't make the art so i can't take credit for it, but yes I agree it is really good and whoever made it did a really good job

perhaps i should give an option to zoom in, thank you for the feedback!

pretty addictive game which is impressive for a game that was made in just a week, with more polishing and maybe adding a few more features it can turn into a great game!
two small bugs i found that aren't that bad but i feel like i should let you know so you can improve your game:

1. clicking on a button which was upgraded (marked in green) takes gold (not a big deal)
2. when pirates chase you and there's a land nearby they get on it with their ship which doesnt make sense (again not a big deal)

Thank you for the kind feedback!

omg thank you so much! i worked really hard making the features work so its nice hearing that someone appreciates it thank you

omg these graphics are so good its amazing you did it all in only one week!

I love math and this game is pretty fun, although i think the ball is a little too hard to hit haha

That's really good you got to learn a lot, probably the most important aspect, hopefully you had fun doing that as well !

fun and cute little exploration game, i expected to be eaten by a shark or other crazy giant fish but the game is just wholesome like that

Cool concept and really fun game, i love how it forces you to remember the layout of the cave so you can speed run it without bumping (especially at high speeds)

Pretty nice educational game, I just wish the distance from one point to another where she starts speaking would be bigger so she can actually finish what she was saying if it makes sense

Right now they just scale the damage, with upgrades for specific levels (if you upgrade jellyfish and octopus souls 10 times i.e: 1 jellyfish, 9 octopus you get an upgrade)

but perhaps I should make the upgrades more visual instead of just upgrading their damage like increasing their size, range or adding more like you said, I agree it would be more fun :)

thank you for the valuable feedback!

haha i agree, i still got long ways to go before i can make a fun polished game, thanks for the feedback!

(1 edit)

such clever ways to upgrade! this game was so fun and addicting i couldn't stop playing, until 90m $ popped up from somewhere and i bought my retirement plan

kinda expected it to go for longer but it makes sense that it was everything considering there was only a week to make the game :)

edit: i love the sunset background!

Thank you for your warm feedback!

I'm pretty sure there's a whole lot of balancing that needs to be done, I've been thinking of making enemies spawn all the time (instead of in waves), and it will be followed by tweaking the enemies and player's stats  (equipment too)

thank you for your feedback!

after the all the feedback from you all I've come with a solution to the shoot mechanic, probably use different keys to walk and aim (that way you could shoot back while running), also make it auto shoot and auto aim with an option to toggle it off in settings

jumped everytime the monster got me, but i had fun!

totally understandable

talking to the first npc cracked me up but then they all repeated the same line, i think it would be fun to give everyone their own line but keep the voice its great!

also, that shielding ability is the best honestly

haha im aware, it definitely needs some balancing!

thanks for the feedback ^^

really cute and wholesome game
