So i'm not sure how but i flew over 800, does it count as winning the game?
pretty interesting game but everytime i got in, i didnt know how to control my blockship and it fell apart.
i figured it had something to do with the parts and their mass and all the physics around it, i tried different combinations as well as activating the fan at different situations and nothing seemed to work
pretty good game there are just a few minor adjustments that need to be made imo, im gonna nitpick so bear with me please:
1.as other people said the knife attack can be improved
2.the player's or fish's collider is too big (small fish can attack from far away which makes it feel unfair)
3.damage is in decimal, would probably be better to multiply the player health by 100 and fish damage by 100 and just make the damage in Integer
4.the enemies damage text and player's damage text are nearly the same color which makes it hard to tell apart and a bit confusing at times
these are just some little faults and overall its a good game and you did a very good job for just a week!
the UI was bugged in fullscreen so it took me some time to realize what's the goal in this game, after i exited fullscreen it made perfect sense as i saw the timer going up whenever i drill the flashing squares
pretty simple gameplay you have to do some quick thinking while making your way down to avoid wasting time however its a bit too easy right which makes sense, it would be impossible to balance all these floors in such a short time
imo the controls were pretty easy but it would probably make sense to drill in the direction you're facing (unless you wanted to add more features to the game that involve drilling in a different direction)
i'm a big rpg fan so thats where it comes from haha, I was thinking about adding stats as well that you can add when leveling up but ended up not doing that because there was not enough time to balance it all (as the game is already very unbalanced)
the shop is in the main menu (outside the game right before you click 'play')
yes i agree it needs a lot of tweaks here and there to make it a real challenging game that can be fun for more than 5 minutes :)
thanks a lot for your valuable feedback!
pretty addictive game which is impressive for a game that was made in just a week, with more polishing and maybe adding a few more features it can turn into a great game!
two small bugs i found that aren't that bad but i feel like i should let you know so you can improve your game:
1. clicking on a button which was upgraded (marked in green) takes gold (not a big deal)
2. when pirates chase you and there's a land nearby they get on it with their ship which doesnt make sense (again not a big deal)
Right now they just scale the damage, with upgrades for specific levels (if you upgrade jellyfish and octopus souls 10 times i.e: 1 jellyfish, 9 octopus you get an upgrade)
but perhaps I should make the upgrades more visual instead of just upgrading their damage like increasing their size, range or adding more like you said, I agree it would be more fun :)
thank you for the valuable feedback!
such clever ways to upgrade! this game was so fun and addicting i couldn't stop playing, until 90m $ popped up from somewhere and i bought my retirement plan
kinda expected it to go for longer but it makes sense that it was everything considering there was only a week to make the game :)
edit: i love the sunset background!
