Very fun game with consistent and charming art. Well done and congrats to the win!

Great comic book intro! Also, this is an excellent way to comment on what seems to be an important democracy issue in the US. The gameplay fits well into the theme and is also a fun puzzle game on it's own.

Nice take on the theme as getting to many of the collectibles could lead to not being able to finish a level without restarting. Good level design (that got much harder at the first introduction of the birds, I didn't get past the first birds despite multiple attempts).

Charming game with cute art. It gets very difficult really fast though. There are quite a lot of lag spikes which is what killed me most of the time. If you work on improving the performance this could become a really fun game!

Fun strategy game with well suited graphics and interesting dynamics.

The game concept is interesting and I like that the villagers are somewhat autonomous. I never figured out how to build or use the resources. Also, what are the 3 differently colored geometric shapes in the upper middle of the screen? The game froze after a few days in both my runs. I think it could become really good if you choose to develop it further after the jam.

Fun concept! It's surprisingly difficult not to shoot oneself, which also fits really well with the jam's theme.

Fun game with nice art. Do the cubes actually do anything? Leveling up felt powerful and you could really kite hordes of monsters around (or stand still until the ranged enemies). Won by countdown.

Quite fun little platformer with lots of levels with an increasing difficulty. I especially like the tornados! Died at the first levels with the "cogs".

Is there a way to get back to the game after clicking the "thanks" button?

Great atmosphere! The pixelated fog and eerie sound design makes for a strong horror experience.

Is there a way to drop items? They can easily get lost if you stray from the house, never to be found again.

I would've liked some explanation of what I was supposed to do and how the mechanics worked, as it wasn't very intuitive. When is it possible to sleep and what is curse? Do the monsters actually do anything? (besides being very scary, the noise effect when they are near is really effective)

I am glad you like it!
I agree, PixelDeep really outdid himself on the audio I think. It was a blast firing up the engine for the first time when we were making it.

Thank for playing!

Thank you!

Great job reaching the end, did you find any of the secret shortcuts?

Keys, they don't make 'em like they used to...

Fun and complete adventure with a balanced length and difficulty.  Thought I was just about finished when the sokoban puzzles started. Good level design and very cute and likeable art. I had some difficulties making my way out after finishing the dungeon and though I was soft-locked a few times but always found a way to reset the puzzles eventually. The game freezes for a second everytime the bombs explode (firefox) but I read below that you are already aware of that :) The 2 weapon upgrades both felt really rewarding after already showing the player areas that couldn't be reached without them.

Thank you! Zooming might make things easier to read and click, especially on smaller screens. Glad you liked it!

That should be the tagline of the game "The experience of failing to drive a Mech". I'm glad you liked it!

I did not know of Iron Lung before but looking at videos, I can definitely see what you mean (and it seems like a cool game that needs checking out). Figuring out the controls and manipulating the machine as best as you can without catastrophe is exactly what the game is about so we're happy that you liked it!

Fun game that while seemingly simple, soon turns into total chaos. The upgrade system is nice and keeps things interesting (how long do they last?) Cute toads.

An ambitious project for a jam. The art style is cool in a retro way and I like the pixelized textures and the animated buildings. It is very difficult though and somehow I could only build the sawmill and the bone quarry. I stood no chance against the attackers.

Looks really interesting. Good idea and the art style is pretty.

However, I cannot start the game. In the browser I get an empty window. In the Itch-app I get the error
"The following features required to run Godot projects on the Web are missing:
Cross Origin Isolation - Check web server configuration (send correct headers)
SharedArrayBuffer - Check web server configuration (send correct headers)"

I don't know if this is something on my machine or if there is some upload error.
It seems like some other people can play it so maybe it's on my end. Any ideas how to get it running?

***Edit*** Nevermind. It seems like that was a problem for all browser games in firefox. Switched to chrome and the game is running :)

Great narrative and atmosphere. Growing up in a similar location it is also very relatable. Inspiring and emotional.

Also thanks for including a Linux version (you might want to update the launch script as the filename referenced seems to be from an old version).
