I would not agree with your issue that this is not an RPG, the game has a moral choice that affects the ending, classic for tactics RPG mechanics like upgrading and different roles in your party. Maybe I would add more storytelling and small dialog between party members for immersive experience.

Beautiful game, cool animations and combat mechanics, but the rotation of the camera during the selection of skills makes me dizzy
