It was a lot of fun figuring out the correct combinations for every ghost. The different beverages are really creative. It reminds me of an old flash game I played (a remnant of the past if you will). The graphic and sound design is also very good.

The game looks and sounds really good and was fun to play. The puzzles were also fun and well designed, especially that laser puzzle. But please just put the tomb folder next to the executable in case there is already a folder with that name on the desktop, especially because it permanently deletes everything in the folder when the game is closed.
Thanks, I’ll try to play as many of the games here as I can!
My game: NeuroExplorer
I couldn’t get past the first room unfortunately, I assume that’s what you meant by the tutorial being unfinished. I like the idea of controlling a swarm of drones, but I would prefer to have more control over from where to call and where to send the drones. Definitely will come back to this if you update it.
Giving Neuro a Terminal is a cool idea. I liked the references, I even almost guessed the password for the admin file but I misremembered the number at the end. Audio and art style is hard to rate, because it has none, but as a terminal game it also should have none.
Also, Tony said to tell you there’s a problem with your code (when I try to give cd
more than one argument, and when running admin_shutdown).
Bugs that I found when it was too late to fix them:
- The
clearerr
card effect does not work correctly (the erased cards come back and future battles may be corrupted) - Locked directories are indistinguishable from normal directories (they have a sprite in the files, but I forgot to change it)
- When it says you got a card after the battle, you didn’t
- Enemies sometimes respawn (they shouldn’t)
- You sometimes lose more cards on death than you should (it should be about half)
- When a card was selected but not played, it can still be played after ending turn
- Trojan cards are created face down
- Files change their sprites when you leave the room
- The Mutex card cannot be played (it should only prevent you from playing other cards). Better bring a large deck to the second boss.
- The Semaphore card is added to the discard pile instead of the draw pile. Better not bring too large of a deck to the final boss, or you might lose without even knowing why.
The game jam page states:
You are not allowed to include download links to updated versions of your game in your submission descriptions in order to bypass the locked uploads.
Since I am not allowed to update the submitted game or post any links to a Neuro-integrated version (since it would be updated), where do I put the game once I have added Neuro integration?
Also some things I would like to know for when I add Neuro integration:
- Are we allowed to fix bugs that were found after the submission period?
- Are we allowed to make balance changes / tweak a few values?
- Are we allowed to add new content to the game?
