Really well-designed levels that teach you how to play the game.

Really fun to try to figure out how to build a path out.

I was about to get eaten by a fish and then a bigger fish ate it. So cool

Super creative style and concept. Great experience

I really thought a lot more people would go with the Alice in Wonderland theming; this one does it well.

They call me Dave Brubeck

So simple but so engaging.

Reminds me in the best way of physics-based puzzle flash games I used to play as a little kid. And so much content for a jam game!

Beautifully polished graphics and good gameplay to go with. Music was a bop

Black Jack is a solved game, which makes it pretty boring to play, in my opinion. This takes the appealing risk/reward tension of Black Jack and creates a game which is very fun to play. I am looking forward to future updates!

I love finding stuff like this. Thanks for making it.

I really liked the animation on the player character. Took me 7 nights

So addicting, I keep coming back to it.

:)

I started learning it a few months ago - timing worked out and I knew I had to make this

literally harder than getting over it

Great game! Puzzles were really well designed and I loved the music

I like setting it to 50 power and watching the ball bounce back and forth a million times

A lot of depth for such simple mechanics. Great job

better than mario

Really great. There’s nothing gameplay wise I would change, but for me at least, it’s pretty difficult to discern the green health bars from the red ones. Maybe either just have the lost health be removed, make the red darker, or add a color blind mode or something.

Great game, the only gripe is that the dialogue sound effect was really annoying.

I actually liked using Shift to dash, so it probably comes down to personal preference.

This was a cool idea, but I feel like you didn’t design the levels around it. The chain just felt like a hindrance to your movement. Maybe in later levels it was used better.

Cool idea! I feel like there was more potential for interesting puzzles that wasn’t really explored.

Good idea! You could tell each shape was well thought out, and not just random. At the second (I think) level with the key, I was just bouncing off the key as if it were one of those brown blocks. The person could have gone a bit faster.

Thanks!

Thanks! There’s no reason not to have W to jump, I’ll keep that in mind for future projects. I kept the swing horizontal because I wanted to make something really simple, as this is my first jam.

Not the most original idea, but the execution was really good! I thoroughly enjoyed this.

Not quite sure how it fit the theme, but it was pretty fun.

Cool mechanics, could have benefited from some more interesting level design.

The physics are kinda wack, but the level design is pretty good. Good job!

Sometimes it was a little hard to tell which colors were needed for various things, but because there were only 3 different ones it wasn’t too bad. That’s the only bad thing I could think of, good job!

Interesting idea! Would’ve been cool to see more different characters, but that’s probably too much work for 48 hours. Also, you can cheese some of the levels by moving off the holes fast enough.

Good levels, except for the ones that didn’t have the blue blocks.

Maybe something like “When you drag a tile onto another tile, you will get a completely new tile. Each tile has different bonuses based on what’s near it. Experiment for yourself and see what kinds of tiles you can make!

It took a little bit to understand, but when I did, I was having a lot of fun! You could totally flesh this out into an actual big game with more mechanics and whatnot. The only issue I had is that once I got my food above what the population was going to be, I just kept doing random moves that gave me zero points just to get all the people and win, like moving a plain onto another plain. As (I think) Sid Meiers would say, I was optimizing the fun out of the game. Maybe if there was some sort of incentive to get extra food? idk. Great game overall, I’d totally pay for a bigger version of it.

The jumping is a bit weird, but its a short and sweet game. good job!
