Thanks a lot for your feedback!
I totally get what you mean. It is really a shame, it turned out to be that close to "We become what we behold" The initial idea was a 3 D first person cameraman simulator, actually. While brainstorming, I found it to be very hard given the short timeframe. So I decided to do it top down with a little cameraman who has to film interesting details, that didn't work that well, so I made it instead of filming people doing something, taking pictures of them. The cameraman was pretty fun to control, but it was hard to control him and make him able to take some decent pictures. So in the end I decided to remove him... probably an awful idea. I noticed the similarity to We become what we behold after the jam was over. I would have added more features, if I knew it was that similar.
Sorry for writing that much, but I thought everything just needed some clarification.
Again thanks for your feedback and time!
Thank you for your feedback! I added the sound effect, to make sure you can easily understand what is going on, but especially in the end of the game, you are probably right, there are just too many... I noticed how similar this was to the game you're referring to, after the jam ended, unfortunately. My initial idea was something completely different, so it is pretty sad for me to see how similar this turned out. If I had noticed that earlier, I'd have added some other mechanics as well. I didn't mean to copy or remake any game.
This is such an incredibly fun game! Had a lot of fun playing this, at some point the difficulty just didn't seem to increase and there were humans I could posses everywhere, so I didn't really die until I accidentally killed my human... Nice art, but I'd love a possesing animation or something like that, the theme is there, so overall a very nice job! Keep it up!
Thank you for playing my game! Yes, you'll have to take a photo of something interesting happening, choose a fitting headline and continue. Try some different headlines and photos out and the characters will start to interact differently with each other. There is even an end, once you take some important pictures.
Thanks for your feedback, first of all. I just searched this game up and played it. I remember playing it some time ago. I definitely do notice, why you think it is a clone now :( It made me really sad, because for the first time in a jam, I was actually really happy about my original idea, since the game that turned out was completely different from the one I intitially wanted to create. Hope that sounds acceptable to you, I really didn't mean to copy from anyone or anything
Interesting game! I really like the art and the whole games feel even though I couldn't figure out how to get past the first level (Are there more?) I think the attacking features are really weak compared to the enemies so I just kept running away every time (and died in front of the boss. For example doors that open once all enemies are killed, could really add a lot. Also I think there is a wall at the right, where you can just walk through, but once you are out, you'll fall into an empty space and the game just stops :( Still nice job!
